Business Owner

After college, Ryan followed in his mother’s footsteps and enrolled in Baylor University School of Law. During law school, Ryan had the honor of clerking for the Honorable Mary Murphy, Judge of the 14^th District Court in Dallas County. Following his clerkship with Judge Murphy, now a Justice on the 5^th Court of Appeals, Ryan clerked for the Honorable Marilea Lewis of the 330^th District Court in Dallas County. It was in these two courtrooms where Ryan decided he wanted to spend the rest of his career– helping those that needed help in a court of law. Ryan then followed his dream of becoming a litigator at a small personal injury firm in Dallas. While at that firm, Ryan gained extensive trial and courtroom experience, managed a litigation portfolio, and became the assistant case manager for the firm’s multi-​district litigation drug and products liability cases: Vioxx, Medtronic, and Guidant. Deciding that he wanted to continue following his dream, Ryan started The McFarlin Firm in 2008.
