Texas Star Windows

I’ve been through the wringer trying to get someone out to clean the gutters on my home. I’ve tried 3 different companies and they were all no-​shows. Texas Star Windows makes it 4. I called them on 4÷15÷14 to schedule a gutter cleaning. They were happy to help and all was well – they said they’d be out that Thursday (⁴⁄₁₇) at 3:00 pm. Super! Cut to Thursday at 2:45, they called and said they’d have to cancel due to the rain in Tarrant County making them late for other appointments. They agreed to come back the following Tuesday (⁴⁄₂₂) at 3:00 pm. Tuesday rolls around and at 2:58, my husband HAD TO CALL THEM (not the other way around) to confirm that they were still coming. NOPE. They claimed to have called my phone (they didn’t) and tried to leave a message (they didn’t) about cancelling for a SECOND TIME, again because of some rain in Arlington that made them behind schedule. Awesome. So my husband reschedules for a THIRD TIME, this time for today (⁴⁄₂₄) at 1:00 pm. He even had them confirm/​repeat back that yes, they would be there Thursday ⁴⁄₂₄ at 1:00 pm. Well, what do you know, he had to call them AGAIN to figure out where they were at 1:00 today (as they were a no-​show for the third time). «Oh, no, the appointment is for Friday, right?» ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am livid! My husband has rearranged his work schedule 3 times to accommodate this unprofessional company, and they still can’t get their sh*t together. Way to go, Texas Star Windows. YOU SUCK.

They were quick, efficient and right on the mark with respect to the online quote and service delivered. I also appreciated them recognizing we had just moved into a new house and didn’t have time to deal with the clogged gutters situation. The company handled the transaction very quickly and came out to service the gutters almost immediately. They communicated throughout the process very effectively. That’s what sets Texas Star Window Cleaning & Power Washing apart from other similar service providers!
Will definitely be adding them to my annual proactive checklist!

I hate writing negative reviews, but the fact that this company did not deliver as expected, I felt the need to write to make everyone aware of how they do business.
I booked an appointment for ⁹⁄₃ on ⁸⁄₂₀ — yes, several weeks in advance as I understand that window cleaning businesses are difficult to book for services right away. This was important to me as I had an event at my home on ⁹⁄₇. I spoke to the owner on ⁸⁄₂₀ and he was very professional. I had never used their services before but, after speaking with him, I felt like I had the right company to do the job. I even purchased a Unilocal voucher after our conversation.
⁹⁄₃ came and went. I called and left a voice mail message — no reply. I finally emailed and did receive a reply that evening. Apparently, they had mistakenly booked me for ⁹⁄₄ at 10AM. I said that was not an issue — mistakes happen — and was looking forward to seeing them on ⁹⁄₄.
⁹⁄₄ at 10AM came and went. I waited until noon and when I did not hear from anyone, I called the two phone numbers I could find on the internet.
Today is ⁹⁄₁₀ and I still have not heard from anyone.
I just think this is a horrible way to run a business. I understand things happen, but call the customer and let them know. A conversation can go a long way.
Fortunately, Unilocal did reimburse me the voucher amount so I did not lose any money in this ordeal.
I see this company has 3 reviews with 5 stars each. I am still puzzled as to why anyone has recommended them, given what I went through. I just hope they learn how to improve their business model.

My wife and I were listing our house to sell and doing everything possible to make the house perfect. One thing we had overlooked were the windows until our realtor brought it to our attention. So, we decided to give Texas Star a try. We just got home and the windows all look amazing. I would definitely use their services again and I would recommend them to my friends and colleagues.
