Didn’t get a chance to see the doctor because of the parking situation. Not everyone walks around with cash. This was not disclosed to me when I made my appointment and this reflects back to the staff. I can find another dermatologist.

I had an appointment so see Dr. Ryan last Thursday. I got in promptly which is good, but I wasn’t seen by Dr. Ryan, but by the PA. I am not sure why I they don’t tell you that when you schedule the appointment, since my circumstances were urgent enough to see the actual Doctor. Anyway, I was in and out in 5 minutes, did NOT get tested for my condition and was given a prescription with instructions to call back if it got worse. IT DID GET WORSE. I called back very early on Monday, missing a work day. I had to go to urgent care and got prescribed another medication. I wrote in their patient portal, left a voicemail, and still have not heard back. I don’t expect to hear back from them, but I am extremely upset that I had to pay for that consultation and medication only to pay AGAIN at an urgent care facility.

I had an appointment scheduled to see Dr. Ryan. My appointment was at 3:30. I showed up at 3:16 and filled out all required paperwork. I was taken into a room at 3:35. I was excited that I was actually being seen on time. A nurse asked me a few questions then told me the doctor would be right in. 43 minutes later NO doctor. There’s only so many news articles and Instagram posts that will keep you busy for that long. I got bored by this point. At 4:25 I decided i didn’t want to sit any longer. Waiting over 45 minutes is just ridiculous. I requested a refund of my co pay and left. I’ll never be returning here. What’s the point in an appointment of the doctor won’t bother to honor the time or even come close?!?
Note: I got a call from Dr Ryan after 5pm apologizing for not being able to see me. She said they overbooked people and that they had some «emergencies drop in» unexpectedly. It’s a dermatology office. I guess I’m confused as to what qualifies in their eyes as emergency. Because technically my case was an emergency depending on what standards you go by but I wasn’t given priority.
I really didn’t feel any better after that call.

I came here after a really bad experience at North Dallas Dermatology Associates — basically my doctor’s nurse avoided me for a month while my conditioned worsened and couldn’t be bothered to return any of my 1,800 calls and voice mails.
Anyway, I came here with a very rare and difficult skin condition to treat and while I don’t know if Dr. Ryan will be able to get rid of it — OMG the customer service here is amazing!!! Amber, Dr. Ryan’s nurse, is so great! She has answered all of my emails and messages within an hour! When she says she’ll call me — she calls me!
Dr. Ryan was very thorough in her examination and was quickly to recommend an aggressive approach. I told her that I am getting married in 6 weeks and she seems to really be trying to better my condition by then and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them!
I don’t know if the treatment will work BUT at least I don’t feel like a nuisance for trying to get in touch with my doctor regarding medication.

Dr. Menter is excellent, extremely professional, and courteous. He never makes you feel embarrassed for your issue or look at you odd for the way you look. But I will say I am in the office fooooooorrrrrreeeeeevvvvvvveeeerrrrrrrrr sometimes or they seem to misplace my arrival in the «Que»… Arg… but other than that they bend over backwards trying to fix any issues whether they’re at fault or not. Oh and they definitely will work with a tight budget. I never thought I’d ever be able to afford a dermatologist and fix my acne… Yaaaaaaaay!

Wow, I was really impressed by Dr. Menter and the staff at Texas Dermatology associates. The office was running on time, parking wasn’t too difficult to figure out or costly ($ 2 for an hour in a covered garage off Junius street), and I was in and out in under an hour. Dr. Menter has a fantastic bedside manner, and even though there were 4 med students in the room eyeing over my almost nude body, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any point in my visit.
This is definitely THE dermatology practice for pale people like me who need to have some shifty moles checked out and want a doctor who has a history of dealing with our types of skin issues (psoriasis, moles, eczema, etc.). If you are unsatisfied with your current dermatologist, try Dr. Menter. You will definitely be happy you did!

While the doctor may be good, the staff is inept! Rude and snippy with poor follow through. Go elsewhere and avoid frustration!

Dr. Alan Menter has made a huge impact in our country (actually, the world) for his research in the field of dermatology. In addition to his worldly contributions, he makes an impact on each and every patient. just simply by his kind manner and presence. He is sharper than a tac, and very aggressive in treating whatever skin condition may ail you. On top of that, it’s quite evident that he is as close to a perfect human being as he can be because of the way he concerns himself with each person he comes in contact with. I am amazed, and totally in awe each and every visit. what an intelligent and endearing man! Anyone that is lucky enough to be his patient, will never forget him. Thank you Dr. Menter.

Dr. Saucier: good bedside manner, knowledgeable, able to communicate side effects of medications. 5 stars
Staff: In my last 3 or 4 visits, the lady who takes your insurance card has not greeted me with a smile even once. I think she said hi one time, only to ask for my insurance card. I was prescribed a medication that has very strict guidelines and limited time in which things need to be completed by the doctor’s office. Two months in a row, I had to redo my lab test because they were unable to complete the requirements within the 7 day window. And during this time, I left multiple messages and was unable to reach anyone to speak to. Even when I asked for the instructions to be left on my VM because I am at work until 5, they would just leave a message asking me to call them back. Throughout this entire process, there was no mention of reimbursing for the multiple lab tests that I had to pay for due to their lack of urgency in handling the matters. The worst part was that I was paying out of pocket since my insurance did not cover it. I ended up getting a bill for a $ 300 lab because their office used the incorrect diagnosis code. 0 stars.
The redeeming quality was the actual doctor; but the staff’s inability to promptly deal with the mistake and compensate for the extra amount I ended up spending led me to find another doctor, whose office staff are much easier to reach through a phone call.

The wait was incredibly long, I was seen almost 45 minutes after my appointment time, but I feel like that’s just doctors for you. (I always wonder what takes so long: Are they finishing a movie? Playing craps? Mid-​day nap? I’ll never know…)
Wait aside, Dr. Alan Menter is just as nice as can be, and wonderful to be seen by. Everything was quick and mostly painless, and he even referred me to a friend of his in Nashville, where I live, for a follow-​up so I didn’t have to fly back home. I was most pleased.

Dr. Saucier may be one of my favorite doctors I’ve visited in a long while. My husband and I saw her recently just for a check over.
She was VERY pleasant, explained everything that we went over, and sent home a list of all the things we discussed. I like to know what’s going on, and I feel like I received informative care.

Dr mentor is amazing. The best dermatologist ever. He and his staff are professional and they know there stuff. I have recommended many to him and everyone is always pleased. Skin problems clear

Right after moving to Dallas my entire body developed some small red dots. I freaked out and started calling offices to try to get in. Every place I called said it would be a month before I could see a doctor. The lady who answered at Texas Dermatology was kind and patient as she listened to my problem. She then said she could squeeze me in that afternoon! I got to the office 30 min early to fill out paperwork. To my surprise I was called back to a room 15 min before my appointment time and was chatting with a nurse not long after that. Dr. Mentor and his trainee came in shortly after the nurse. They both checked me out and assured me that I was ok. Just had a virus! They took the time to explain why they believed it was a virus. Dr. Mentor was very kind and spent some time getting to know me. He asked me more questions about my life in 30 minutes than my original dermatologist did in 7 years. This place is fantastic!

Dr. Menter is fantastic! He can cure anything. He’s smart and aggressive with treatment. I have used him for any skin issue for 16 years, as has many friends and family members. Everything from acne to eczema. He trains other doctors from all over the world. And, not that this matters, but he’s also blazing hot. It does take several months to get into see him, at this point, due to his worldwide reputation.

Found myself needing a dermatologist while in Dallas. They got me in quickly, were knowledgable, and courteous. I saw both the Dr. and the PA and liked them both. Short wait in the waiting room. Prices a little high but worth it.

Dr. McCoy spent very little time with me and barely asked any questions! He didn’t even ask if I wore sunscreen! Basic, and necessary, dermatologist question. He did remove a mole for me which seems like it will turned out just fine.
When I asked about RetinA he referred to speak to his aesthetician to see if I was a good candidate. Overall I felt hurried out. But everyone on his staff was nice. And that’s always a plus

Fantastic doctors office — experts in all things skincare. Friendly office, knowledgeable doctors, on time with appointments as well, and have their act together with paperwork/​etc.

I will never go to another dermatology clinic after finding the best doctors in the area, possibly the world, in Dr. Alan Menter and his team. I began with Dr. Menter back when my children were young and we all needed help with sporadic acne. His treatments completely cleared up my teenagers acne along with my adult acne. I didn’t see him for many years since we didn’t have the need. But many years later, I began experiencing a terrible rash on my neck and face. I called every dermatologist in Tarrant County, where I live and could not get an appointment for at least three months. Even when I explained I was having symptoms that were uncomfortable, I was told by the dermatologist offices in Tarrant County to go to the ER. So I did.
The young ER doctors were attentive, but gave me every diagnosis under the sun, including lupus and made appointments for me to see other gyneologists and specialists. I knew this was not the answer. I was so frustrated.
I finally made an appointment with one of the Tarrant County dermatologists — even though it was going to be two months before I could see her. When my appointment date neared, I received a call from her office saying she was going on vacation and my appointment would have to be postponed. Are you kidding me? That was the final straw.
I decided to call Dr. Menter’s office even though I had not seen him in years. I was told to come in the next morning. Amazing! A doctor who would see me with a medical situation instead of giving all the appointments to people who only want Botox or Restylane! When Dr. Menter walked into the treatment room and saw the rash on my face and neck, he was appalled and sympathetic. I broke down and cried and hugged him for seeing me. I’m sure it took him by surprise. But when you call a doctor’s office for treatment and cannot get an appointment for three months and then are told to go to the ER, it becomes ridiculous and frustrating. I was so relieved to be with Dr. Menter again. And again, his wonderful, sound treatment cleared up the horrible rash in two day! He even gave me his private number to call if I ever had any other skin-​related issue that needed immediate attention. Take a lesson from a first-​class, world-​renowned dermatologist, Tarrant County dermatology community. Dr. Alan Menter rocks the world of not only dermatology specialists, but doctors in general.
I have learned my lesson. I will never, ever go to another dermatologist even if I have to drive 25 miles to see him He is worth it! Dr. Menter is world-​class. check out his website and read his credentials. Since returning to his care, he has also helped treat my stubborn seborrhea dermatis and performed several other procedures to help my skin look its best. Think I will call his office while I am thinking about it and make another appointment for my annuanl check-​up with him.

Doctor’s offices always make me uneasy. Maybe because I grew up never having to sit in one (my family is full of doctors), but something about them just makes me uncomfortable.
Thankfully, the staff and Dr. McCoy at Texas Dermatology Associates are some of the most caring and efficient medical peeps I’ve ever encountered.
I was running a few minutes behind because I got lost trying to find the place, but the front desk staff didn’t seem to mind. I filled out a few new patient forms and within 5 minutes they were calling my name — that never happens! Same thing with the wait in the exam room; Dr. McCoy and a nurse were in within a few minutes.
Dr. McCoy listened to my concerns and checked me over for any suspicious spots, all while chatting with me the whole time to keep my mind busy. He was very comfortable to be around, too. I’m not a shy person when it comes to medical visits (hell, they’re doctors; I don’t care what they see), but Dr. McCoy was very courteous in shifting around the gown to keep some privacy.
He ended up finding two weird spots that could develop into something, so just to be on the safe side he recommended removing them. I moved into another room to be numbed up, and Dr. McCoy had them gone in a matter of seconds. It was *almost* painless!
I’m definitely keeping this doc in my back pocket. After my fair share of bad doctors in the Big D, it’s nice to finally find one that I really like. Thanks Dr. McCoy!

I started visiting Texas Dermatology Associates early this year. I’d been wanting to establish myself with a dermatologist in Dallas but had terrible luck trying to get an appointment in the next ten years. Unless you want to run in for a quick Botox injection, you can forget finding any open appointments at most Dallas dermatologists! NOT SO with Texas Derm Associates. I called to set up a new patient appointment for an overall skin check and was able to get in the very next week with Dr. Dan McCoy.
The office is spacious, welcoming, and modern — everything you’d want from a place where you’ll be mercilessly poked and prodded. (Not really, they are very gentle). Dr. McCoy is a very personable guy; he immediately made me feel comfortable, as did the rest of the staff. I really appreciated his frank and easily understandable manner of explaining things. When I found out that I had melanoma and needed excision surgery, rather than letting his ego rule and insisting on doing it himself, Dr. McCoy helped me weigh my options and was very honest with his opinions. In the end, he referred me to a great plastic surgeon to minimize the scarring. His nurse Serena is also one of the best medical professionals I’ve encountered in a long time. She returned my 7,564 phone calls promptly and never seemed annoyed that I had called with yet another question!
If you discover that you need to have any minor procedures done, such as a simple mole removal, they can do it immediately right there in the office, which is nice because that means you won’t have to schedule an additional appointment or go to a different doctor. Also, they’re very good about accommodating their patients’ schedules and working you in if you just want to have the doc check something out quickly. Who would have imagined, a doctor’s office that actually tries hard NOT to inconvenience you?!! Definitely a keeper.
