The man at the counter was very friendly and we received our food in under 10 minutes. The food was great and the service was fast, can’t wait to stop by again :)

Never again. I got sick of my stomach after eating here some tacos. Place doesn’t look clean to me and the customer service sucked! Is the kind of restaurant you go and the cashier instead of asking” what can I get you? Or «hi» or something… Stares at you and waits for the customer to speak…

Went there this morning for breakfast. My husband and I walked in and nobody even bothered to greet us. We looked at the options on the wall and started to order. I ordered natural juice which was on the menu and was told it was not available. I ordered chipotle nachos and was again told no. We ordered 2 Mexican coca colas with cups of ice and finally found something in the menu we could order. We paid and sat down. Waited for 15 minutes and nobody had brought us our drinks. My husband had to get into their drink cooler and serve us our drinks and ask if we could have two glasses with ice. The food tasted great, I’m. Not sure why one of the workers felt the need to mop the whole restaurant with very strong smelling pine sol while we were eating. she even mopped right around our chairs. Not Impressed at all, probably won’t return.

NEVEREATHEREUNLESSYOULITERALLYWANNAEATDIAPERSHIT! I was there today with my family and not only was the service and the food bad, but a mix couple arrived with their toddler and a baby. At first I assumed they were related to the owners or something because they walked in with such familiarity, but what came next was disgusting. The toddler was sat on the tabletop and his diaper was overflowing with crap and we could see it over the edge of the diaper. The smelled was so bad we lost our appetite but what’s more disturbing is that after the couple left with their kids no one bothered cleaning the table and went on to sit new incoming patrons on it even when the owners saw what happened and saw us so disgusted by it. This is not a proper way to run a business people! Much less to disregard the rest of your customers’ health! If I could give no stars I would!

There is defintely not enough of the taquerias in this neighborhood, so, I decided to try this place. It is in a shopping center, kind of hidden next to a laundry mat, so you would have to know it is there. Dine in, is big, and plenty of room, but we chose take-out. We got there about 9:30, doors close at 10:00, and I ordered 3 chicken, 3 steak, and 10 pork, and a side of rice — they were locking up and turning off lights before we could even get out the door, which was about 9:45. Chicken was extremely dry, and I will not order it again. Steak was good. Tortillas, were okay. Green sauce, very good, red sauce very good, and rice good as well. Don’t get me wrong, I liked them, but I have had better, but I will return when I have a craving for a street taco. Price wise, can’t beat it – it was about 1.20 a taco!

I had a craving for tacos and this was the nearest place where I stay. They have a huge selection of dishes to eat there or to go. I arrived a little after 9pm and was told orders are to go only. I ordered 3 tacos of El pastor(spicy pork) and asked for extra grilled onions. I was a little disappointed they didn’t give me extra grilled onions, but let it slide since this was my first time ordering there. The tacos,…were yummy and definitely were to my expectations except, I suspect the corn tortillas are store bought. The taco could definitely be served with double tortillas since the taco did tear easily. Definitely loved the salsas and that the tacos were served with radishes. I love radishes.

In a strip center dominated by a thrift store on NE corner of NW Hwy & Jupiter. Ordered three tacos al pastor. Delivered to table with cool-to-warm meat on single mini-tortillas. Red sauce was pretty good. Green sauce was not the green crema that I’ve come to expect and want. Folks that run the place barely spoke to me. When I left(and I was the only diner in there) I didn’t get an «adiós» or «kiss my ass» or nuthin’. Pretty doggone mediocre. Too many good taco places to return to this one. P. S. …no beer.

This is not what I would call a basic taqueria. Maybe in terms of décor and location, but certainly not in terms of what these sweet ladies are serving up out of this hole in the wall. Two orders of flautas, an order of steak tacos, an order of beef sopes, all with rice and beans AND an order of guacamole ALL for $ 29 total. Bam. Oh wait, I forgot the dessert too. Needless to say, you can get some mad authentic Mexican bang for your buck here. My family loves the flautas the most — a crispy shell encompassing tender juicy chicken topped with queso fresco. The rice is moist(gross word, I know, but the best word in this situation) and full of Spanish flavor. But, the ultimate treat from Hidalgo is their guacamole. I’m usually prepared for some unexciting smear of avocado from taquerias, but theirs is a pleasant surprise. Huge chunks of avocado, lime juice aplenty, and enough tomatoes and onions that it’s almost like a mix between pico de gallo and avocado. Most recently, they talked me into trying this eye catching dessert in the case. It was eggnog pudding, mixed with assorted jello flavors, served with a small cup of eggnog that you’re supposed to drizzle on top before eating. It was weirdly delicious. Especially if you are a jello lover. Don’t judge a book by its cover, Unilocalers.

Not exactly a destination restaurant, this place is really for people who are hungry and who are doing their laundry(it’s located next to a laundromat) and/or have the misfortune to visit DMV for a day or three. This is the real deal, all the signs and advertisements are in Spanish. The décor is extremely modest, formica tables, plain as could be. But the tacos are authentic and only $ 1 each. They are served fresh and hot. The wife loved her carnitas and I got pollo. The salsa is obviously homemade and fresh. I would go back here for lunch again, especially now that the other taqueria on Jupiter(by the China Bowl or something) has closed. And the restrooms are clean, which means a lot.

Basic taqueria with plenty of inside space hidden in a strip center off Northwest Highway. As typical of taqueria, minimalist décor and a hodge-podge of furniture and serviceware with plenty of Spanish-language posters and ads on the walls and a television tuned to Telemundo. Almost empty at weekend lunch. Counter service only, with the menu on a hand-printed board on the wall. Had the enchiladas de mole, which was three chicken enchiladas in a mole sauce, R&B and a simple lettuce bed, slice of tomato and a few artfully laid avocado slivers. Food wasn’t fancy but as good or better as most Tex-Mex chains, certainly better than fast food. Two bowls of salsa were served, red and green, both fresh and hot as can be. Could have used chips or tortillas on the side but needed to order those separately. None of the problems mentioned by the first reviewer. Plenty of Mexican-brand snacks and soft drinks if you have a particular favorite. Language might be a barrier if you’re a picky gringo and try to ask too many questions about the menu; just go with it and enjoy.

First of all, this place stunk to high shit and there was not one single other customer inside. Granted it was 3:24pm, so not exactly lunch time, but still. Most taco places have at least one straggler slopping on a taco at any given hour of the day. The thing that made it look emptier than it was(besides no customers) was the amount of tables, like twenty of them. The lady at the cash register didn’t speak English, which I actually enjoy, but she absolutely refused to let me pay for my three tacos until I finished eating them. She almost demanded that I sit down and wait for her to bring them to me. Which I did and she did. The one thing I did like was that she brought me two huge bowls of salsa(red and green) The only reason I was there is because I was at the DMV and this place is in the same shopping center and I was hungrier than a hungry man(beat that one, wit masters). I was also pretty sure no one had written a review yet. Yippie… another first for me. This place by no means totally sucked balls, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be back Sorry for the lame review, but that’s all this place deserves.
