Great service! You got to try it.

I wasn’t a big fan of this place, it reminded me of a deli set up, and the meats looked like they had been sitting there a while. It didn’t look fresh nor did it taste as fresh. If I really wanted the calories, I’d head over to Taco Bell.

Best Fish Taco’s in town. You have to try this place out. The décor is neat and you can even eat at a table under a huge grass palapa or a table tha looks like a surf board. The staff was great and new what they where doing. Hands down better then Chipotle, or Free Birds.

Now not the best out of Chipotle, Qdoba or Burrito Jimmy but pretty yummy for a small place. The queso is a miss, but other than that, no complaints. To me though Freebirds is the worst in quality ingredients so when I see these reviews saying Freebirds has quality and fresh ingredients I wonder what taste buds these ppl have. Try out Taco del Mar. I give it a B. Q’doba is still my fav!

Off the bat, reminded me of Subway. So I googled, and it is, as I suspected, part of the same parent company. Ordered a fish taco, the specialty, and a shrimp taco. Only $ 4.00 for the two, but they were small– think Taco Bell. The guy was nice enough, asked if I wanted it prepared the usual way. I agreed. They were both so watery I couldn’t pick them up. The fish filet was hard and dry, really bad. The shrimp was better, but still nothing special. Bad all around, won’t be back. Drive a block further and hit the Chipotle down on Beltline. Or better yet, head south on Preston and get Torchy’s.

Good spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Nothing super fancy done here. The tacos are ordered and made Freebird or Chipotle style. Hit the spot at the time but I’m not sure it would be a regular stop in my dining rotation.

Staff was nice. Food OK for a chain. Like Taco Bueno better if I’m going for fast food Mexican.

This place is another standard freebirds/​chipotle ish set up where you pick what you want (burrito, tacos, nachos, quesadilla, etc) and they build it down the line for you. Taco Del Mar didn’t wow me, but it wasn’t terrible. I had the small chicken bowl with chips and queso. The queso was a low point, but the rest of the food was OK. Nothing stellar. I’d go here if chikfila next door was too busy or something, but otherwise I’m sticking to freebirds because the food quality is alot higher. The staff was really nice though.

used to be on the West side of the tollway off Belt line but now moved over to the East side and 1 block south of Belt line. This is a pretty lay back and relaxing place to eat and now it’s walking distance from my work I imagine I’ll visit from time to time.
first impression… upon walking in we were greeted by the workers and the place décor is very refreshing and sort of remind me of Fuzzy’s Taco décor. … the counter is set up pretty much like Chipotle /​Free Birds … you order taco/​burrito/​bowl/​salad/​nachos then pick meat and whatever ingredient you want to put in your food. I thought the portion was just so so the guy may be new didn’t seem confident when he was working on my burrito bowl. (good thing I’m on a diet lol) portion is good enough if you’re not super hungry or am a regular eater) it’s $ 6 + tax which is cheaper than chipotle by a little bit I got the carnitas which is a grilled then slow cooked pork shoulder/​butt their seasoning is fairly light… good thing I asked for lime and extra salsa to mix in with my bowl.
my coworkers got the nachos /​burrito /​salad… all were happy except for the queso it seems not to be real queso but just can cheese sauce and also the sprinkled on cheese stayed in tiny sprinkles they should have offered to grill those for 5~10sec to melt the cheese on top.
over all a quick and easy lunch spot and price is normal and I will return to try others (they do offer a daily special — diff. everyday of the week)
not sure about the prices on those though~ 3 stars for now will update later when I try more items.
