Where can you get good finger lickin’ BBQ for cheap? This place! Was driving through this neighborhood on empty and needed to pick up dinner for the night. Drawn here by the 3 glorious letters in the name. There is a drive-thru window and walk-up counter on the sides of the building, but I chose to walk in. There is no sitting room, but there are benches to sit at while waiting for your order. Glad to see they accept all credit/debit + cash. Decided to try the daily special — the rib basket. For $ 7.50, I got 3 giant ribs, 3 pieces of toast, 1 side(subbed fries for Okra gumbo), and a large sweet tea. Asked for sauce on the side, since this was carryout and didn’t want bread to get soggy. BBQ sauce: sweet/spicy/sticky goodness Ribs: fall-off-the-bone delicious Okra gumbo: needed a bit more seasoning — easily fixed by provided salt/pepper packets Sweet tea: a bit too floral/tart — will opt for the lemonade in future «Big» chopped beef sandwich($ 4.75): stuffed with flavorful meat with crispy(very buttery) bun «Small» chopped chicken sandwich($ 0.99): like above — puts McDonald’s value menu to shame! The nice lady at the counter said it had a whole leg quarter of meat in it. Bottom Line: Don’t judge this restaurant by its cover. Try the daily special or the«small» sandwiches — $ 0.99 very well spent. Might return next Wednesday for the link basket special!
