This is a top notch place. Kept well. Clean. Feels safe. Great access hours. Well managed. Office staff is excellent. Can’t say enough good things about this place & I’ve been to a lot of storage places. Currently having to use Public Storage in Los Angeles and over and over Public Storage proves to be the worst company and facility nationwide. STOW&GOISTHEBEST! Wish they were in LA too.

I would NOT store my stuff here long term. I have been a customer here for over 5 years, paying thousands of dollars to them over the years. I’ve never once been late with a payment, as they are auto-drafted out of my account. In essence, I was the perfect customer. I went in to see the manager(Teresa) in March(I live in NYC now) to figure out the logistics and was told that a trailer for loading(it’s a cross country move, so we’re not talking a U-Haul) could not be left overnight at the facility. I arranged with the company I used for moving to do a same-day pick up(which they do not normally do). However, when my trailer arrived today Teresa phoned to tell me that no trailer could be left on site without a way to move it because they«don’t have the room.»(I have seen many trailers parked across the side driveway and in the back parking spaces). My movers are literally on the way to move the contents and then the trailer would be picked up and start transit to NY. Teresa, however, would not allow it. Not for one hour. I now have to reschedule my entire move(costing over $ 4,000). They were not willing to budge one inch. If you have to store your things, DONOT store them here. They are greedy, uncompromising and do not give you all the pertinent details to make leaving them simple. P. S.: I just found out from my cousin who has been helping me that there’s a trailer that has been parked in the same spot(without a vehicle attached) since SATURDAY. It’s outside of the storage units behind the gates. But I couldn’t leave my trailer parked for a few hours. I have pictures that I will be sending to Stow & Go.

Phones ring continuously without an answer. And when they do, the messages don’t always get to the right people. I tried to reach management for over a week and left several messages with the staff who assured me that they would pass them on. They didn’t, and it caused a lot of problems and unnecessary headaches down the line. On the bright-side, they are clean and in a convenient location right off the expressway. Just overpriced and not worth the effort needed to reach the staff. At least shop around first.

I have rented many, many storage units across this country and Stow & Go can count itself in the top half for sure. Climate controlled, easy administration and payment info, a Penske truck rental onsite, and wide halls are the top features. I actually think it is a little pricey(although I am paying for convenience with the great proximity to Uptown and the Central Expressway) and the biggest thing they could improve upon would be to get more of the transport carts. If there are more than like 5 people there at a time, you are stuck either waiting until someone is done or shlepping the boxes by yourself all over their building.

Beyond the fantastic customer service(shout out to Terrance!), Stow & Go is clean AND safe! Terrance was right where I needed him when I walked in — at the front desk. You’d be surprised how many storage places keep the door locked until someone buzzes or calls, which is super annoying. He showed me several units and the whole place gave off a «I love keeping your extra crap» feel. He showed me how to work the door keypads and elevator(it can get a little tricky if you don’t do it right) and made sure I was comfortable with my unit. They provide the locks for the doors, which was okay by me – I wasn’t in the mood to go off property and buy a lock. Terrance even put me a few units down from the elevator, which is super convenient! All hallway lights are motion activated and stay on for 15 minutes, but for some reason my hallway is funky and the lights don’t always come on. It can be a bummer if I’m looking for something specific, but if I’m just coming in to grab a box it’s not a big deal. Terrance warned me of this, but I was in too big of a hurry when I signed not to ask for a different hallway. My mistake. They require insurance like most other places, but the minimum is eight bucks a month if you go with their 3rd party company so I took it rather than haggle with my homeowners insurance. Although there’s not a keypad to exit the building, there is to get out of the gates… so crooks, just because you get in does not mean you can get out!
