I always loved coming to this location of Spring Creek and ordering the ribs. If you live in the area they always send out«buy one, get one free» rib dinners in the mail which is always nice. My family uses these coupons every month they come out. The bar-b-que is really good and the sides go perfectly with it. I will always suggest getting the ribs or brisket. Usually the service is really good, and there are unlimited sides and an employee that walks around every 20 – 30 minutes with fresh bread. So even if you eat all your food, you can continue to fill your plate with sides or bread. You WILL leave here full. I gave them 3-stars because I’ve been to this location since like the early 2000s and for the past year or so it has been on a decline. Cleanliness is a hugeeeee factor for me but because I’ve been here like 50 times and have hardly ever had a problem with them, I will not give them a bad review based on my last few experiences. I went here recently and there were people that were complaining of roaches underneath their table and asking for refunds. The manager or worker placed a sign on the table that pretty much said«don’t sit here» and that was that. Furthermore, the bathrooms were pretty nasty as well, and there was no one going around giving out bread. So yeah, I don’t know if there are some issues going on but that was pretty disgusting. Also, the food portions have steadily declined and quality of the food has as well. They also will run out of ribs so if you’re really craving, get there early.

Risky health practices; no response from management I contacted Spring Creek BBQ management several days ago in order to give them time to fix some risky health-related issues but got no response so I guess they are not interested. The A/C in the main dining room was out, so it was hotter inside the restaurant than outside in the middle of July in Dallas! There were no signs posted to warn patrons who might have health related issues that get worse if they are in a very hot environment. Also, the banana pudding desserts were sitting out in the heat instead of being kept cold. They contact milk and eggs — products that promote bacteria growth if not properly stored. The banana pudding my husband paid almost $ 4.00 for was warm. Needless to say, he paid the price the next day! If you order certain sides with your meal, it would be nice if the employees advised you up front of any additional cost, or if the signs mentioned such add-on prices. Nope. You get the surprise when you get to the end of the line at the cash register. Bait and switch? Or just bait? I ordered the okra but no one told me it would cost me an additional $ 3.95 until I got to the register. I tried to cancel the order, but the cashier said she would instead charge me only $ 2.35 for the cole slaw I got. It would have been nice to know in advance that the okra is so expensive. When it arrived, it was so greasy that we could only down a few bites before pushing it away. After that, everything we ate tasted of the same old grease! Yuck! Ladies, be very careful where you put your expensive purses! One of the lazy employees didn’t want to walk around our table while handing out dinner rolls, so she dropped one right inside my expensive purse — leaving grease all over the contents. No apologies! The prices went up when the food portions went down. The ribs were NOT as meaty as they used to be, and there were fewer of them on our plates. They were out of corn on the cob when we were there. If management had bothered to respond to my email and assure me the problems were being addressed, I would not have written a negative review. However, I feel it is important for other diners to know what they might experience at this particular South Dallas location.

The ribs are usually pretty good, but today they were taste less. I wonder what happened? Although the concept is tray line and self serve on drink refills, I have(in the past) been able to impose on staff that were roaming about to get me a tea refill. Not today! The restaurant was nearly empty so it’s not as if a hard and fast expectation from others would have been formed. The food was decent but I hope the real cook was off today

I ordered a catered lunch yesterday over the phone for pickup today at lunch. It was pretty simple — 16 of the brisket baked potato. Trusting that they know how to complete an order I head to my prospective client’s office. It wasn’t until some of the first people had begun eating that I realized they completely forgot the brisket! Which is kind of the bulk of the meal and definitely the bulk of the expense. On top of that they didn’t include any plastic flatware, plates, or napkins. Also, no ice or cups for the 2 gallons of tea. Soooooo when I call to ask about the missing brisket the girl commented on how they realized right after I left that they didn’t give me the large container of meat. Um, why didn’t they contact me when they realized their mistake? I had left my number the previous day when I placed the order. I took the risk of missing my decision makers to go back to get the brisket only to arrive to no apology or explanation or even a free dessert. That is NOT what I call customer service. I was really disappointed by everything except the food. I will say the food was excellent. The rest of it? Not so much.

Great little family place for some big-time barbeque flavor(dine in or take out). Of course, the ribs are the best thing on their menu. But I like the combination plate also. Prices are pretty decent too($ 12-$ 16 per plate, excluding drinks). But I love how you pretty much get to load up your plate with as much sides as you can eat(this isn’t a buffet-style restaurant). Refills are free(I think). Best part about Spring Creek Barbeque is the bread girl. She usually comes around when fresh white rolls have been baked, offering some to all the customers. I usually ask for two or three of them, and she usually obliges. Overall, this is a great place for some feel-good barbeque in a family-oriented atmosphere.

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night in about the late 8 o’clock hour. It was busy. What I probably like most about Spring Creek is their fresh, hot rolls. Most BBQ chains, imo, are about the same. The food was good, we certainly had our fill from the combo plates. I especially like their turkey and ham. We also had chopped beef, pulled pork and sliced sausage(in order of most liked). The sides were the usual suspects. I generally like to finish off with some peach cobbler and Blue Bell vanilla ice cream but boy was I stuffed. A big plus was all the young people working hard there. They exuded work ethic, professionalism and a courteous attitude. They thanked us for coming on the way out and also opened the door upon our exit. Pretty cool. My only qualm was that the line on the outside was dirty. I asked for the manager and someone cane around immediately to clean it up. I know it was busy but my standard of service is the same regardless of peak hour or location. I appreciated their reaction and willingness to get it done. We spoke to the manager once again on the way out and commended her for all the great, young people working there. All in all, it’s Spring Creek. I enjoyed our visit.

Had lunch there today. Ordered the combo plate with sausage and beef. I have been eating here for a number of years, and have never been disappointed. The brisket you could have cut with a plastic fork(unlike the brisket at the Grand Prairie location). The mac and cheese was super cheesy. It’s just good. Go there!

Good chain BBQ place. I like to get the 2 meat plate with brisket and chicken. The meat is tender and flavorful. The sides are OK, but the rolls are dang good.

What a great place for casual family BBQ! Their menu is fairly simple, but what they have is absolutely delicious. Being a BBQ joint, obviously you will need to sample the different roast meats. I’ve tasted all of their offerings, and my favorite of late has been the BBQ pulled pork. I highly suggest it. Being a casual family BBQ, obviously your food won’t be as tasty as going to a genuine authentic Texas steakhouse. But for the price and quality, it’s definitely a wonderful place to try!

First experience here and I have to say I think it’ll be my last. Coming from a city that has some delicious bbq I could never eat here and be satisfied. If you are just looking for mediocre bbq this is it. This place is just not for me. 2 stars for the pickles and the bread. The peppered sausage that they rant about taste like salami to me. That is all

The BBQ here is okay but nothing that stands out above other places. I am more of a fan of spicy BBQ and this place has sweet BBQ. Its not a place to eat at, just not one that would appeal to me.

Good bbq. Came here on a business lunch and really enjoyed it. Being from GA I’m used to BBQ being mainly pork, but the beef brisket was awesome. Will definitely be a repeat customer when in the area again.

On our way to the airport from Fort Worth, and wanted something regional. Well what says Texas more than Barbeque. They were right off the freeway, and so it was a simple choice. We came by at lunch, so the serving sizes were not huge, but believe me you will be stuffed. My lunch date had the chicken, and I had the chicken(dark meat) and baby backed ribs. Choice of sides were potato salad, beans, or corn on the cob. Tried all the sides, and well what can you say they were sides, nothing speical. The Barbeque was excellent, the smokiness was there but not overbearing, everything was incredibly moist. Kudos to the nice lady who kept coming by with fresh baked bread, hot, crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I cannot say that I am a great Barbeque judge, but in my world food that is hot, juicy and flavorful is worth a try.

I ate here in March of 2010. I thought it was ok, but coming from a small town in Texas to a big town with commercialized BBQ, not what I expected.

I am impressed. Drove through Texas and my friend took me here as it was convenient off I-20. The unlimited bread was the best I’ve had. Got the sausage and beef special and both were flavorful. The potato salad was ok. The beans were great. I liked the fact you can pack your plate and get a whole lot to eat.

Ya know… I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place from several people. Some claim its… meh… and that it is «fake BBQ» yada yada yada… Others really like it… some hated it… fair enough… This particular branch is right by where I work. I’ve been here twice now and was not disappointed. The ribs were really good and the chicken was as well… finger lickin’ good! The sides were decent as well… and they give you plenty of nice big hot rolls to sop up the goodness with! Wait staff is friendly and helpful and kept the rolls commin’ as needed… Prices are on par with most BBQ places I’ve been too. I’ll be coming back for sure!

The food didn’t make me sick, but the music sure did. And what’s up with the«Shiner Rock» beer that looks deceptively like a microbrew but tastes just like budweiser? Talk about shocking my poor taste buds. The staff was really very friendly, though.
