Established in 2012, Southwest Joint Replacement Center is a beacon of hope for individuals, coping with chronic pain due to complications around the knee, hip, and shoulder areas. Our focus is to improve the quality of life for each of our patients.

Meet the Business Owner

Charles R.

Business Owner

Dr. Charles Rutherford, founding member of the Southwest Joint Replacement Clinic, specializes in less invasive techniques for total hip and knee replacements. But he’s more than happy to see patients for their general orthopedic care as well. A native of Dallas, Dr. Rutherford graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1976. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and then completed a five-​year residency in orthopedics at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Seeking advanced training in joint replacement surgery, he completed a year long fellowship in adult reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic before returning to Dallas to establish his joint replacement practice.
