Salon 13500

Veronica is the best! I first came to her after receiving an awful haircut at another salon, and she spent 2 hours fixing the cut. I’ve come to her 3 – 4 times since then, and every time she’s given me an awesome cut that I go home loving. She’s also really easy to talk to and easy to get along with.
As for the salon itself, I’ve never had a bad experience. This past time I went, they were serving free mimosas with cheese and crackers in the morning. Really classy feel at a reasonable price (around $ 50 plus tip). I won’t go anywhere else :)

I would rate Salon 13 500 negative zero for poor service. I went to the Salon on 7−25−15 to get my hair warmed up with blonde in my front frame. I showed the woman Jasmine who offered to let me be her client that day. I showed her a photo of exactly what I was looking for. I came out cooler than before, and not satisfied. She knew what the photo looked like, and knew I had somewhere to be (work) right after. I did not get what I asked for from this Salon. It has happened before to me, and this is why I am writing a review. I thought a Salon was suppose to have clients wanting to come back. I will never go back after this next fix. I demand a fix or my money back. I even called when I left the Salon on my way to work because I was so unhappy. They knew I had no time to get it fixed or argue so I felt taken advantage of. I even showed them a PHOTO BEFORE AND AFTER the fact I had work done to my hair. So any claim they tell me is garbage because I did show them a visualized photograph of what I asked for. I payed for cooler hair, and I did not appreciate the service in person or over the phone. I have yet to speak with the owner when they open again on Tuesday. In the past this has happened with the same Salon 13 500 on Midway, Farmers Branch. Any woman who wants to go get there hair done I suggest you have time to get it fixed because this Salon might mess up, and have to put your hair through more chemicals. I am not sure since I am complaining now if I would want them to touch my hair.

When I decided that I wanted to go lighter for the summer and ombré my black hair, I researched hair salons in the area with good reviews, and found Salon 13 500. I knew I had picked the right place when I called to make my appointment and was told by the stylist, Megan, that she loved a challenge! Lightening box-​dyed black hair is not an easy task.
I spent pretty much my entire Saturday afternoon in the salon. Megan did an amazing job lifting the black out of my hair without frying it. After two bleach sessions, color-​correction, and then toning– my boring black hair was filled with beautiful, golden, summer tones. I was so impressed by her skills and patience. She stayed past closing on a Saturday evening to make sure I got the look I wanted. I’m thrilled about my new hair style, but even more excited that I finally have a go-​to stylist and salon. I have been coming to this salon for years for facials, waxing, lash extensions, haircolor, cut and style and have never had a bad experience. The staff are true professionals who treat you like family.

I had such a great experience today! I went in for a perm and to buy new makeup. Jen spent a lot of time with me to make sure I had the right color foundation and the best colors of blush and eyeshadow for my skin. Then, Misty did my cut and perm and I could not be happier with the results. She even took the time to do some additional styling since she new I was going to an event tonight. I will definitely be back.

Love this salon! It has a fun atmosphere and so many stylists to choose from to match your style. They also have other services like waxing and nails, so it’s one-​stop shopping! Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for quite a number of years and have always been met with friendly faces from the employees and from the owner! Easy online scheduling is available and although I only get shampoos/​cuts (guy with short hair) I understand they offer a wide vairety of other products and services.

I have used this salon for many years and I’ve used many stylists from this salon for many years. On the most recent visit i had some color put in my hair and a cut which cost me $ 175.00 which was MUCH higher than my previous colorings. The amount was not a big deal because I had always had a good outcome. Within 48hrs the colors that were put in my hair had 90% washed out. When I called to let them know outcome they proceeded in blaming it on me, all I wanted was for them to possibly use a different product and recolor my hair and Joyce the owner acted as if I just didn’t like it.
Who in their right mind calls a salon to have color redone if they didn’t like it and wasn’t pleased? Keep in mind I’ve had color several times and it has always lasted several days and have been happy!
They reluctantly recolored it after scheduling my appt wrong which they have done many many times before (I’m not the only one they have done this too) and rescheduled it. After the recolor I was happy but was uncomfortable during the coloring because of the poor attitude displayed by Joyce the owner. When finished they tried to charge me again for the product… ARE YOU SERIOUS? Needless to say they finally didn’t charge me for the product but I did leave a nice tip for the stylist.
Be careful dealing with this salon and it’s owner as she is VERY unprofessional as i found out when she called me 10minutes after making a appt or just a haircut. She proceeded to tell me that it would be best if I went elsewhere because they couldn’t make me happy and always had issues with appt times. 100% untrue as the only time I was unhappy was with the last coloring and and it wasn’t the stylists fault it was the product!
Again who in their right mind calls for another appt if they were unhappy time after time?
This salon gets 0 stars for unprofessionalism and lack of caring for their clients from the owner which trickles down thru their stylists.
Very unhappy and will never recommend this salon to anyone again!

I use Unilocal to find new businesses, and I found this salon without any reviews. I made an appointment for Shellac with Ellen and got to the salon in the early afternoon on a weekday.
The salon is tucked away in an office park area on Midway. It was busy during my visit with clients of all ages. I was immediately offered a beverage and taken back to Ellen’s station — a private room.
Ellen was meticulous — she checked each finger and gave me great tips about hand and nail care. The Shellac application was perfect. It’s a great alternative to acrylic nails and they last around two weeks — no chips or peeling!
The price was just right — much cheaper than my last Shellac manicure. I’ll be back soon and I think I’ll look at their full menu of services!
