Precision Plumbing

I hate to give negative review but the way they running this business is not healthy! Was referred by the previous owner, so I trusted they will do a good job since they service this hose before. Called in for Gas and Water leak, told them specifically where the leak is and that I want them to fix it. They came out, I told them that I need them to fix the leak. Walk around the house, look at the attic and the water, thinking that they will fix the problem. 40 minutes later they said they can’t do anything about it, if I need it fix since the work order was only for them to check the leak!!! «I called them and told them where the leak it and I need them to fix it!»
They spent 45 minutes checking the pipe and valves when I clearly told them exactly where the leak was! I got so frustrated and called the girl that send the order, she told me that she don’t remember what I was talking about and said «Why didn’t you look at the work order before you signed it» Worse customer service! Instead of trying to help figure out what’s happened, she denying that she don’t recall I asked them to fix the problem. I clearly told her specific location. I know exactly location of the leak! Why I spend $ to ask them to come and and tell me yes I got the leak!
Anyway, I don’t recommend this service to anyone of my friends. If you do ask their service, please make sure whoever take your call write down exactly what you ask them to do and email a copy to you. READ THE WORK ORDER BEFORE SIGN IT!
I don’t have problem with the technicians that came out, they did their job and what the was told to do. Just the customer service and they way they treat the customer is not right!
At the end, they agreed to fix my gas leak! but didn’t do anything about the water leak.

I can’t say that I had a similar experience to the others that have written reviews about Precision Plumbing. In fact, my experience is quite the opposite.
A stoppage in the master bath shower and tub had me contacting my home warranty company. (This after contacting a plumber on my own who was unable to clear the stoppage but didn’t even charge me a trip charge).
The second plumber, this one sent by my HW vendor, couldn’t clear the problem and didn’t have a working camera. $ 75 paid and on to a third company (PP).
Waited all morning for PP, and they finally arrived around 1:00 PM. Explained to them what others had done and failed. Camera showed no blockage between the clean out and master bath. He tried a couple of things the others did not and cleared the stoppage.

Why only four stars? If possible PP should find a better way of letting customers know an ETA the day before.

I was connected with this company through my home warranty after I filed a claim due to sewage backing up in my home. They arrived promptly the following morning, arriving at 9am on the dot.
Then it all went downhill.
As I explained the issue of what was to be fixed (I went over this with the owner on the phone the day before) which included snaking the drain, checking it with a camera, unclogging the pipes and replacing the damaged wax ring on the toilet, I was cut off and told «I’m not doing all that… your warranty company would never pay for any of that.»
I avoided the argument and decided to call the owner instead. Before I could walk away and call, he demanded my co-​pay up front before he would begin any work. I laughed, thinking he was joking since he hadn’t completed the job yet. He was quite serious.
I should have just sent him away, but I didn’t. I threw the money at him and called his company.
The owner smoothed things out as best he could, saying replacing the wax ring is something that isn’t always necessary after a backup. The technician would inspect it after cleaning the drain and make that call afterward. I shouldn’t worry.
After my 5 minute phone call, I came back outside to find the plumber had already finished snaking the drain and was feeding the camera down the cleanout trap.
«You’ve got roots down there.»
Just great. Pretty amazing that he cleaned them all out in less than 5 minutes of work, isn’t it?
A minute later, he claimed he was seeing the roots on the screen of his camera system. «Yep, roots here. Quite a bit of blockage too.»
After that he rolled up his camera… and left.
Never came inside to check my wax ring or to unclog the drains in the house.
What an absolute waste of 75 dollars. I spoke to the owner again the following day, who insisted each and every one of my issues were separate calls that each needed a claim and a 75 dollar co-​pay. He even insisted that his technician should not have run the camera after using the snake.
Think about that. A half hour drive to my house to spent less than five minutes to quickly and poorly run a snake through the outside cleanout… then leave, wait for me to call and make another claim to send them out again to drive a half hour to spend less than 5 minutes to run a camera… then repeat again with unclogging my drains, and finally replacing my wax ring.
Owner is a liar that enjoys bilking home warranty companies.
Needless to say, I have my warranty company sending out a new company instead.

It’s so unfortunate that after two years, I’m having to update my original rating of Precision Plumbing in such an extremely negative way. I have had their business card hanging on my fridge since February 2011, just in case I ever needed their assistance again, and recently I called them to have them fix my plumbing. After a series of terrible disconnects with the employees, misquoting of pricing, and a conversation with the owner that was a complete waste of air, I have realized that their customer service has gone down the crapper.
I won’t be using them ever again, however I did find a great new plumber who stuck by what he said and had great work with honest pricing, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

Just listened to a voicemail from JD of Precision Plumbing (he now goes by Jake apparently) — he is now saying that he’s going to bill me for a quick fix he did in 2011 that he told me he would do for free and I told him after the fact that I would give him a good review on Unilocal,all because I updated that review to reflect the current state of his business. Jake or JD or whatever you’re going by now, there was no «breach of contract» (we never had any such thing unless you found a way to forge my signature), I will NEVER take this review down because I believe this is exactly what Unilocal is here for, and you can invoice me all you want, I will never pay you for something you volunteered to do for free. Good luck in life pal, and stop calling me or I’ll report you for harassment.
I have saved your voicemail and I will be emailing Unilocal to let them know that you threaten your victims/​customers when they tell other people the truth about you.

I was new to the area and needed a plumber to come out asap. My water pipe under my toilet broke and was shooting water everywhere. I found Precision Plumbing and decided to call them based on the reviews. Owner said he will be able to come in the next half hour to fix my leak. He showed up 5 hours later, Told me he would need a deposit of half up front for all the supplies and equipement to start. Gave him (JD) $ 375. He said he would be back within the hour with everything needed to fix my broken pipe. NEVER SHOWED UP. I am 63 years old on a fixed income and for him to do this is very unprofessional. He will be reported to the BBB

I wish there was a rating for ‘no stars’ because that’s what this business deserves. When I rang up yesterday I was told a time to expect the plumber. Today, its been over 2 hours since the stated time and no sign of plumber nor a follow up call or any notification of any sort whatsoever!
I rang up couple times today, the person who answered the phone didn’t even bother to check which customer was calling to know what the inquiry might be. The response was just that the plumber is probably stuck at another house and will get there when they finish up!
Further, this man had the audacity to tell me that ALL of his customers wait patiently all day for their field plumbers to show up rather than call to follow up on the status and that they were doing me a favor by coming out today (despite the fact that none of this was mentioned when I inquired and requested service yesterday). In addition, the person on the phone personally told me that since I wasn’t happy so far (as interpreted by him due to my two follow up calls) he personally advised that perhaps I might be better off finding a another plumbing company to take care of my issues. Appalling way to provide customer service and run a business!!! Wont be inquiring here again for any of my plumbing needs.

I had an issue with my shower regulating hot/​cold water that needed repair. I own a condo which does not have an individual water shutoff (central boiler), and so in order to complete the repair I scheduled a time slot in advance for the HOA manager to have the water shut off to the complex. I called PP a few weeks in ahead of time, explained my situation, and we agreed on a time for them to come out during the period when the water would be disconnected. The morning of the scheduled repair, I called PP to inform them the water was being turned off and to confirm they were coming. I was told that they had canceled my appointment due to me not calling the day prior, that they had already booked another appointment that morning, and that they would try to come out as soon as they could.
When I made my appointment I was asked to call and confirm that the water was being turned off, although I assumed they wanted to know when the water was actually off so that they could begin work. I don’t recall being specifically asked to call the day before, nor understand why they would want me to call prior to the water actually being turned off. They could have quickly resolved the situation and kept my business by contacting me first to let me know they were going to cancel. If this is their policy then they certainly should have made me aware during our first conversation and they did not.
I waited an hour or two past when they had originally agreed on coming and they had not showed or called to inform me of their status. I called them multiple times to see if they were coming, although nobody ever answered and so eventually I gave up and left them a message telling them to not bother.
Since posting my original review I have been contacted by an individual (JD) threatening to take legal action if I did not remove my negative review; I have therefore updated my review to be as factual as possible. I want to emphasize that my low rating reflects my opinion of the professionalism and character of the representatives of the company that I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I feel that they wasted my time, were rude on the phone, and afterwards tried to threaten me. For these reasons I rate them 1* and I would not recommend attempting to do business with them to anyone.
