History
Established in 2002.
Penne Pomodoro is the brainchild of Alberto Lombardi. He wanted to create a restaurant that offered good, quality Italian food in a comfortable environment at a reasonable price. A place where you find parents eating with their children along with people out on date night.
This second location located in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas was opened in 2003 by his daughter and business partner Anna Lombardi Daigle.

Anna Lombardi Daigle is a business partner with her father Alberto Lombardi, owner of restaurants such as Taverna, Toulouse, Sangria, Lombardi’s Cibus and La Fiorentina Tuscan Steakhouse.
She opened her first location in November of 2003 at Preston and Forest.
