Let me start my review by saying that Erica and Haley saved my hair. I have shoulder length hair that I have been growing for what seems like forever, so I decided to get extensions. I made the mistake of getting «Mermaid hair» from Katie Rogers. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. Let me try to sum up the events that led to the amazing women at Osgood having to save my hair.
I was blonde, and decided that when I got extensions that I wanted to be Ombré. Well, I was told personally by Katie that she would color match my hair, so I assumed my extensions would be ombred as well. Turns out she put blonde extensions from root to tip, so when the wind blew you could tell that not only was my hair fake, but also that it wasn’t ombred and did NOT match. I was told to box color my extenstions at the root first, which I tried to no avail and when I asked for a refund of my money and to have them taken out I was told to let a colorist fix the color on my extensions. I had to have my hair colored four times in 2 weeks, leaving it extremely damaged and GREEN. Not only at this point did I need my color fixed AGAIN, but I didn’t have the extensions I wanted.
Fast forward to me ending up in Haley’s chair. She NAILED my balayage and gave me an Olaplex treatment for the damage. Haley also went so far as to color my extensions for me to match my balayage. Later in the week I went back and Erica gave me a fresh cut to trim some more of the damage and installed my extensions. I can not tell you how thankful and grateful I am that these incredible stylists were not only able to salvage my hair, but to make it look as amazing as I originally hoped for. I HIGHLY recommend these ladies.

This is a beautiful salon with very talented stylists. However, the fact that you have to pay an additional $ 40 to get your hair blown out after a almost $ 200 color appointment is very frustrating. Doesn’t the colorist need to see the results to make sure it looks ok and not to mention the client?

Thank goodness for Osgood! I currently live in San Antonio where finding a hair salon has been impossible (zebra stripe highlights — no thank you). I visit Dallas every few weeks and gave Osgood a try during my most recent trip. Yay! After a five minute consultation, my colorist knew exactly what I wanted and delivered thin, natural looking highlights in the exact shade of blonde my heart desired. My cut also came out well. I went in with texts from my Houston hair stylist about how she highlights/​cuts my hair and both ladies stuck with what she did while making some great suggestions for improvements. It was a great experience and I will certainly return next time I am in town!

I have been coming to Katherine G. to do my color and highlights for over 10 years. She is a true color professional and everyone who uses her knows just how great her coloring highlighting techniques are. Being a Ginger, it is a hard color to replicate, but I have never left with anything other than the perfect match.

Jenna is the best colorist I have ever had in my 15 years in Dallas! She knows how to make highlights fun and just gets the right color every time!

I am sure they have wonderful stylists for color and cut, but I made an appointment for a partial updo and it was a disaster. For starters the stylist had a sprained wrist. How she thought she could do hair with a sprained wrist is beyond common sense. To compound matters she seemed very inexperienced. Having been a hairdresser I had to coach her through until she finally just gave up and said she couldn’t do it. The people at the front desk were clearly uncomfortable sending me away, but they had no choice as they didn’t have anyone else to help me. I ended up driving home, washing my hair and styling it myself. I just had steroid injections in my cervical spine and really needed someone to do my hair for me… very dispappointing.

I had my hair cut by Maggi today and I agree, she is amazing. She was very good at finding out what I wanted (I couldn’t find a picture) and then she did it. Plus she was easy to talk to and just really nice. I booked a return appointment before I left.

I used to go to the Osgood O’neil location on Knox — I’ve had several good haircuts there and color jobs. I live in Southlake so I have tried to find several stylists out here but every time I know I want a GREAT color or cut, I know I can go to Osgood O’neil and they will always deliver 100%
I decided to try the Lovers location and had Brooke as my stylist. I went in with a grown out asymetrical pixie cut that had turned into a mix of Justin Bieber’s hair and a mullet. I showed Brooke pictures of what I would like to eventually have my hair look like and she took the full hour cutting my hair, making sure it was done exactly right. When I left I was soo happy, best haircut experience I’ve ever had. Most of the time stylists try to get the look you’re looking for and fall short — but she knocked it out of the park. I’m so happy with my haircut, I will only go to Brooke from now on! Even if it is a 40 minute drive!
I give this location and Brooke 5 Stars for sure!

Let me tell you. I’m crazy about who does my hair. i’m from LA/​SF and found awesome stylists pretty easily but when moved to Dallas, it was the biggest challenge. I tried 5 different cut stylists at 4 different salons (all found on Unilocal) and finallllly found «my girl”-Alexis. She is the best for hair cuts in all of Dallas (in my opinion).
For color-​I got super super lucky finding Haley. She was the 2^nd person I went with and had to look no further. I have dark hair and get highlights and overall color with her. She is awesome!
I’m in Chicago now and get my hair done w/​Alexis and Haley everytime I visit Dallas for work :)

Amazing salon! I was visiting my parents in Dallas and my stay was extended. In desperate need of a color and cut, I went to this salon on the recommendation of my mom. I have never been so happy with my hair. I am mid-​40s and have been to my fair share of salons and this has been one of the most pleasant experiences EVER.
Hayley did the color and being a strawberry blonde /​red-​head, it is hard to get right. She did the most beautiful color accented with highlights that I have ever had. The following week, I was asked by several people about my ‘beautiful color’!
Tony cut my hair and he gave me the kind of cut that just keeps getting better. The shape and the layers fall perfectly (not too fixed and not too shaggy). I can part it in the middle or on the side and it still falls beautifully. Excellent!
Can’t recommend both Hayley and Tony enough. This salon is one of a kind; they treat you graciously and make sure you have an enjoyable experience in total. No products were pushed and they offer complimentary valet to boot.

I kept putting off cutting my hair in the hopes that it would grow another inch. Finally, after not being able to hold out any longer I called to make an appointment. Oh, Colby? Today is his last day. Great. Anyone else? Alexis? Sure. Trusting their better judgement, or at least ability to read the footnotes in my profile, I made the appointment. With long, thick, curly hair I usually need more time from a more experienced stylist. Not used to going to anyone under their top tier level. Guess who Alexis wasn’t? It’s been a month and I still get so upset when I look at my hair. Overestimating her ability to cut curly hair, she literally put a razor to my locks. How dare she? I suppose it’s my fault, I should’ve been paying more attention to her. Wait, no! She should know what she’s doing, isn’t she a professional? I’ve chosen Osgood in the past because of the extensive training program they put their stylist through yet, I saw none of that during my visit. Aside from rushing my appointment she did more than just a trim, so much for long, curly hair. Now every time it’s slightly humid outside my hair frizzes up from every possible angle. WTF?! Great. I’ve never been so upset. Aside from hiding under top buns and hats all I can do is wait for it to grow. Thanks, thanks a lot. Safe to say, I will not be returning.

Maggi at Osgood O’Neil is THE greatest! She really listens to what it is that you want and then, by and through the grace of the hair gods, she works some kind of hair magic and proceeds to create the best haircut you’ve ever received. There’s nothing more important to me in a salon than a relaxed atmosphere and stylists that are more concerned with what you want than what they think you need. Go see her. You won’t regret it!

I have searched for a colorist and stylist all over Dallas and have found the best team at Osgood Oneil Salon in Snider Plaza. I highly recommend Stacy for color and Solomon for cut and styling. Love this salon!

I had an experience so good that I had to rush right home and write a review. I went to another salon a few days ago and was really unhappy with the results. I called Osgood O’neil and bless the woman who answered… because I was upset and she was a dream on the phone.
I tried to tell her I wanted an appointment for ‘partial highlights’ and leave it at that but she wanted to know my hair type, the current color of my hair and she really had a lot of questions. I finally got into the story about how disappointed I was, what happened and what my goals were for my ultimate hair color. and she listened to the whole sordid story for at least 20 minutes! Usually whoever answers just wants to get off the phone and get to the next call.
She got me in for the very next day and put me with someone that she said was amazing. Jonnie.
So the salon is beautiful, professional and the staff is extremely attentive. Best of all, Jonnie already knew everything that happened and so I did not have to get into everything again.
He totally understood and listened and told me what we could do.
He spent a lot of time and did a meticulous job on my highlights. They were perfect and I am very very picky about how even they are and the placement.
He choose the perfect color for low-​lights and unbelievably I walked away with my perfect dream hair color. The best I was hoping for was to have it not look so bad… I showed him a photo and my hair looks exactly like that photo. When does that ever happen? Seems like I always just hope for something not too awful, I never think it’s just going to be right and perfect but for once it was.
Customer for life!

Quick addition to my previous review: since my beloved hairstylist Jessica has been out for the past few months due to an injury, I’ve been seeing Hayley.
Although I knew I’d miss Jessica, I know that all colorists have to go through the same extensive training before starting at Osgood, so I trust anyone there.
That being said, Hayley is also a total rockstar at what she does. It’s obvious she loves what she does, and she’s meticulous and really cares. Plus, she’s super friendly, too, which is really nice.
If you’re in Dallas or even in a 200 mile radius, seriously go to this place. Now.

Alexis knows hair. I went for a trim and she rocked my world. She made it very easy to understand what she would do and why, she worked quickly and I loved how she styled it. I’m glad she actually styled my hair (the next morning I did the blow dry bar when I got my color done) because she showed me how to style my growing out bangs. The price was well worth it and she suggested a fabulous texturizer spray! Will definitely continue to use her in the future!

I have gotten my hair colored here for nearly two years and I’m such a fan of my colorist, Johnnie. He is talented and super accommodating — once he redid my hair twice within a week because I wasn’t satisfied with the color. He’s great, and his prices are affordable.
I’d skip a haircut here — it’s way too expensive if you’re not chopping bangs or getting layers. For someone like me, who needs a basic trim, go elsewhere.

Pros: convenient scheduling, moderately priced, friendly staff, great hair cut
Cons: mediocre color jobs
I must admit I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to my hair. After making several 3.5 hour drives from Dallas to my home city of OKC to see my old stylist, I decided it was time to try somebody new. Surely DALLAS of all places would have somebody who could keep my naturally dishwater blonder hair super light.
Hair cut: Prior is fabulous at hair cuts/​blow outs. She’s a little pricy ($ 65, I think?) but really does a great job. Granted, all I ever ask for is trim which is probably hard to mess up, but still. I love that she didn’t get carried away and cut too much off, and the stylign job was perfect!
Color: I made an appointment with Rebecca. I loved that it was easy to get in and really didn’t mind that I’d have to blow dry my own hair. In fact, I kind of appreciated the idea that, if I were in a hurry, I could leave with wet hair and nobody’s feelings would be hurt.
Rebecca was really sweet and listened to what I needed. The color turned out fine but I had a couple qualms.
1) She uses heat. Using heat during the color process does nothing but speed things up and dry out your hair! Not good
2) The color wasn’t as close to the roots as I’ve been accustomed to
3) The color didn’t «lift» (the technical term for when color didn’t have enough time to process), so it was a little brassy
I must say, the price was much better then I what I pay in OKC. But, for me, the extra few bucks is worth it. Looks like I’ll be making those 3.5 hour drives to get my hair done after all!
