Cool place to get fresh coffee. It’s interesting to see all of the machines they have for coffee making… In fact I had no idea what most of it was but it looked pretty snazzy! Employees are pretty friendly as well; they love talking about their coffee and how it gets from a plant in Ethiopia into your cup. Would visit again 9⁄10 gunga!!!

For many small coffee houses in DFW Oak Cliff is the go to source for their perfectly roasted beans. One sip and your tastebuds tell why. Perfect every time. But a stop into Their namesake coffee house will leave you a bit disappointed. Service is tepid. Dark lighting. My quick stop for work lunch(Latte $ 5 + Housemade Muesli $ 3) turned into just lunch as there is NO Wifi. Muesli was good. Latte usual Oak Cliff Coffee Roaster awesomeness. If you need a caffeine fix this is always a good choice. For work/client/friend meet maybe not so much.

Coffee was freshly made and I loved the fact that it was a paperless place. The coffee was light and tasty. I tried the overnight oats and toast with butter which were good as well. Great ambiance and friendly staff, along with an industrial look to the place.

Like the atmosphere. The Decour is very nice. The Misto/Café Au lait was even better it shows that the coffee beans are very good beans.

Great coffee and friendly faces. If you can come here on a weekend and get the avocado toast. The tomato on it was delicious. I also love the whole recycled coffee cup thing! You put a deposit down, and get a jar for a to go cup. Bring the jar back and get money off your next order. Yay for this business for offering a way to help the planet. Next time I’m in town I would definitely come back.

Best tasting coffee in Dallas ! I like that there aren’t outlets or wifi. Forces conversation or a good book to read. Great staff too !

This place is truly a coffee shop. If you like good coffee, people watching, and just hanging out, then this is a great spot. I get that people like Starbucks for plugs and internet– I truly do, but this place is not Starbucks. I’m ok with that. Also, eat the cheese croissant– it’s delicious!

Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters & Davis Street Espresso are the same. I guess I am a bit confused as to why they have two separate names, since the hours of operations are identical. Anyhow, the latte that I had was really smooth, silky and a tad sweet flavor to it. The place has a very nice open patio. However, it does not have Wifi and power outlets. The setting is more like for roastery as opposed to a normal café.

Place looks great and good atmosphere. I work down the street and always support local business. Get to go cups I’m all about save the environment but how about put your customer first. The to go cup is not going make the coffee taste any worse lol. If worries about the environment by 100% recycled cups and charge more. Well lets say I went to the gas station block down the street and bought a $ 1 coffee and went to work.

It can get loud when they turn on the machines in the back. No WIFI. Wife of the owner doesn’t seem happy to be there. Haven’t found coffee of theirs I like yet.

OK, call me nuts, but I am very conflicted about this. The coffee is good here and so is the service, but I have never heard of a coffee shop WITHOUT wireless, electric plugs or to-go cups. OK, I get the«save the planet» thinking with respect to no plastic or paper cups, but what’s up with the absence of wireless and power? I have been to a lot of coffee shops across the country, and the Globe, and never run onto this before. Not a big deal? Perhaps, but be aware of this before you go. So, coffee and service are a 4 – 5 star. Amenities are, generously, a 1 – 2 star. So, my experiential average rating is a 3.

Roasting of beans in-house, fresh coffee thru an innovative pump-style system. Also a singing barista! Treat yourself! Bring your own mug if you want to-go because they are paperless. Or buy one of their adorable tumblers. Friendly owners! Love this place! And kid-friendly as well– babies and strollers inside !!

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for a year, since I saw the signs in the building. As a fan of the coffee itself, I was ready to have a coffee shop in the neighborhood that roasts its own beans. I ordered a latte for $ 5 and my boyfriend ordered a $ 2 regular coffee. We asked for our order to go, and like another Unilocaler pointed out, they don’t do to-go cups. Now, I had mixed feelings about this as we were in a hurry. The barista recommended their porcelain tumblers, but I wasn’t ready to shell out more money for a tumbler when I have them at home. So we went ahead and kept our order. I do appreciate their attempt to be green, but a little more warning or even a sign at the door would be helpful. We would’ve come back with our own tumblers. My latte was delicious, but at $ 5 I’d expect a larger cup. It was a standard coffee cup, so it went fast, and the price point to me is kind of steep. My BF enjoyed his roast, Rosemont Crest Blend. Our drinks were smooth and tasty, with no bitterness. They do have some pastries, but if you’re looking for a bigger variety of breakfast foods or snacks, you won’t find that. But it’s Oak Cliff, so you can hit up your favorite taco shop for breakfast tacos. Overall, tasty coffee and great décor. I hope they can make a few improvements, like their messaging regarding to-go orders and their breakfast foods, so far, so good.

Don’t come here if you need a paper to-go cup, Wifi and Splenda. LOVE that about this place. This is a business that lives by its principles and is willing to put its money where its mouth is. What an awesome vibe! Super cool décor(everything is done with repurposed coffee equipment… door handles are old espresso pulls, light fixtures are old coffee filters and pots… so thoughtfully and subtly done). There’s a little play area for kids, and a vintage bus out back that they’re putting seating in. Windows open on the front for nice weather days… and a nice little alleyway on the side of the building. And the coffee is awesome. Favorite drink: Van Buren… basically a cortado with a small side of sparkling mineral water for $ 4. Oh, and all prices include tax. This place goes against the stream… no tax, no to-go cups, no splenda, no Wi-Fi. Nicest staff in town… I make a 20 minute drive from Lakewood to come here about once per week. And you can pick up the best roasted coffee in town to take home. Their Hidden City Espresso is the only roast in town that works perfectly with my LaPavoni espresso machine.

I walked in to this place before they were officially open. I was very impressed with the layout. Much different than any other coffee shops in Dallas. I had their coffee for the first time this weekend. I would like to report it is the best coffee I have ever had. :) And, the froth was shaped into two hearts. How sweet is that? It is now my FaceBook cover photo. Totally fell in love. The only thing they could do to top my previous visit is to add breakfast to their menu. Would have loved some bacon and eggs. Just sayin.’

A pretty cool atmosphere(inside and patio), people are nice, and coffee(rosemont crest) was legit I thought. Con: Was not told until AFTER I ordered that they dont have your standard ‘to go’ coffee cups(?), so if in any kind of hurry — be mentally prepared to either slam hot coffee or buy a $ 12OCCR travel mug. Took a while to let that sink in…

The coffee: I like their roasts(Dark and Rosemont) much better than what I have gotten from other top roasters like Avoca. It is that much fresher a roast and a better price and I’ve had great success at home with my French Press, AeroPress, and BonaVita. The treat is the ability of the folk making your coffee in-house. Their humble Americano is transcendent and only $ 2! Their vacuum machine is sublime and also only $ 2! Quality, Cost, and Vibe have no competition in the Dallas area. This really is heaven on earth. No, this is not a hipster hang out. Total sweethearts! Great vibe from all who work here and attend.

I got a bag of the Rosemont Crest Blend delivered from Artizone. It is an extremely light roast coffee and maybe it wasn’t described properly. This should be called«Grandma’s Coffee». I have enjoyed fresh roasted gourmet coffee all my life and this really is some of the worst I’ve had.

Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters allows all of the Dallas coffee snobs an extremely local choice, but I am still iffy on whether you go «local» or «top-notch» with your quality control. Specifically, I always debate with myself whether or not you buy Handsome or Madcap for a coffee shop or stay within the«150 mile» local zone. Having gotten that out there, I do believe that these folks behind OCCR really do care what they are doing. They want to provide the OC residents with a quality product, and I actually had to research the whole«ECX» term behind their Ethiopian Sidamo beans I just picked up. Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. Just tell me that doesn’t touch your humanitarian heart. This family-run operation moves the good ol’ «American dream» ideal into the new hipster ideals of coffee and the following terms: micro-lot, single-origin, small batch. Thanks for bringing yet another choice for bringing a little bit of Austin flare to the caffeine culture of D-Town. We are now moving away from the corporate side, or so we hope.
