Nayoung is a life saver, miracle worker, and hair prodigy all in one. After years of endless failures at trying to get my hair colored (successfully) at home, I finally hit rock bottom and vowed never to let anyone but a professional tamper with my hair again. Desperate, I called last minute and told Nayoung about my hair fiasco, and she told me to come in for a color correction. After examining my hair and consoling me, she quickly went to work. All in all, she spent 5 hours on taking all the orange and brass out of my hair/​weaving in lowlights, while still maintaining its integrity through generous applications of countless hair products. During our appointment, she gave me advice on how to take care of my bleached hair and how to prevent further damage. Though I had bleached my hair twice in the same week, before going to her, she took extra care to treat my damaged hair by nourishing it with products in between colorings. By the time she had finished coloring and washing my hair for the third time, my hair was still intact and in even better condition than the moment I had stepped foot into the salon. Nayoung is the best hair colorist I’ve ever encountered, and one appointment with her is guaranteed to have you going back to her for good.

I have been with Nayoung since 2007. She is very professional who knows how to take care of my hair including what color I need and how to perm and manicure my hair without hurting my hair since my hair condition is not very good.
I tried somewhere else before but I found out that she is the best because no one can makes my hair condition better other than her.
I strongly recommend her if you need hair manicure and perm. She is definitely the best!

I usually don’t write reviews and specially bad ones. I’ve been going to different salons for about 10 years now, and I had some super awesome to not-​so-​great experiences. But this one was the worst experience EVER.
1. When she first saw me, she said ‘your hair color is really dark, you should get some coloring’ and I said ‘yeah maybe i need it’. And as soon as I set down, she started to put some chemical on my hair, I assumed it was some perming chemical because I was gonna get haircut and perm. But I thought it was weird because I haven’t told her what kinda hair cut or perm I wanna get. So I asked her what it was, and she said it was for coloring. WTF?! I didn’t even get to choose what kind of color I want on my hair? Then, she showed me what color she was putting on my hair, and or course it was not the color I want on my hair! And guess what?! I didn’t wanna color my hair at all!!!
2. I tried to think of the first happening as miscommunication and tried to be understanding. I showed her the picture of my previous hair and told her that’s the kind of perm I want. I got that perm in California for many times and they always use giant rolls for perm. So the perm has very big curves/​waves and looks very natural on me. She started using very small rolls for my hair, and I’ve never seen anyone using those small rolls for such big curves/​waves that I requested. So I asked her some questions about it and explained how my previous hair stylist did my hair. She started to raise her voice and said that’s the biggest hair perm rolls (don’t know the correct name of it) and bigger rolls don’t exist. Really? yelling at customer for explaining how her hair was done previously?
3. For the entire appointment, she was kept scratching my neck. Her nails were so long and sharp, I had 6 red scratched marks on back of my neck. So unprofessional.
4. During my appointment, she was working on some other people at the same time and that is totally fine with me. What made me so uncomfortable was how she treated different people differently. IF YOU ARE YOUNG ASIAN GIRL, SHE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE SHIT.
Like I said, I’ve been going to many different salons for about 10 years and I had different experiences. But I’ve never seen someone so rude. And it was my first time to chopped off my hair after my visit to salon.

I would recommend Nayoung without hesitation to any guys looking to get their hair trimmed or styled. Nayoung was very professional, friendly, and able to understand what kind of cut I wanted. She also explained what type of cut she set out to do based on pictures and a brief description I gave her. Most importantly the cut came out excellent and I couldn’t have been any more satisfied with it and the visit. Definitely coming back!

I’ve been going to Nayoung recently alot and she is the best. Anytime I feel like I want to cut or color my hair, I call her and make an appointment and just take a picture from my phone to show her. She will look at the picture carefully and will make your hair exactly the same! Plus she is very sweet and professional, I would totally recommend her!

Nayoung is very professional. Trust me im extreme picky about hair. And it’s so hard to find a hairstylist that is good at Asian hair. I found her on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I permed my hair 7months ago, so my hair was dry and there were way too many splits. I wanted to told her that don’t cut it too short because I still want to keep some of the wavy hair. I was really afraid that if she cut too much, my hair would be totally straight. But before I said anything, she asked me, «so you know that if you want more layers, you hair will look more straight, right?» That’s when I knew I could totally trust her and she’s professional. I really like the way my hair look like now.
One thing I was kinda upset about was that we made an appointment at 11am, and she made me wait and watch for one hour. I was literally about to leave, because she knew that I drove all the way from Oklahoma to Dallas to get a haircut from her. But all in all, her skill is trustworthy. I’d absolutely drive to Dallas for her again!

This salon was my first time here. Looked on Unilocal and photos seem to be the way to go. My normal colorist was on vacation for a awhile and I needed to find a place to have a color done and couldnt wait. After research, I decided to try Nayoung salon or salon D, same place. It was easy to find. The inside of the salon was huge! Very nice lobby with pretty light fixtures. So there, my hair sylist is Nayoung. She is korean not bad in english. Hard to communicate a little. I assumed she had great years of experiance and know what clients want. Hmm not so much. I had a picture on my phone of a ombré i wanted and didnt seem to get it at the end. In the end, It looked more like highlights! Basically i wanted a look like in 3 colors. Like a blended look. Light brown to blonde to very platnum white blonde. Since Im korean she explained that asians and amerian hairs are different and cant get it to turned so blonde or bleached, or it will ruin the hair. I just wonder how korean pop artist have white blonde hair? I mean their hair is still intact and not damaged? Im not in expert in hair color but surely you can get something close to the pic I had. The price was waaayyy expensive!!! Not worth $ 200 when it doesnt look like ombré. I know what ombré looks like. Ive done research and seen numerous photos. My «ombré» ended up looking like more like highlights. I feel like i wasted my money. Smh. Not sure if i want to go back.? Ugh.

Wow just got an amazing hair cut by Na Young! Wish I went to her to begin with. Uses all of these cool cutting tools, very precise and quick! Makes the hair cut look natural and not choppy. Uses a razor to cut, which I like. Showed her a picture and she nailed it flawlessly. Great personality, has a very helpful assistant who makes sure you have a cape on, brushes off hair from your face and walks you to the door when you leave. Will definitely be returning ((smiles))

Nayoung was awesome and really listened to find out what I was looking for and came up with a great suggestion of how to deal with my worn out highlights. I love what she did with low lights – my color was warm and looks great.
everything else possible and they still feel amazing! Soft, shiny and soooo natural!

NaYoung is amazing. I didn’t research her since Korean is my second language and news about her is in Korean, but apparently she’s really famous, studied hairstyling in Korea and Japan, licensed in multiple countries, and is now currently working in Dallas as one of several hair stylists in Salon D.
When I went in, she was the only hair stylist who was busy. apparently lots of customers ask for her, and after one visit, I could see why. She is not only an expert with hair, she is a wonderful person who actually cares about giving you the best experience possible. I wanted to donate my hair but wasn’t super set on it, but when mentioned, she immediately accommodated and gave me a really cute bob that will look good even as it grows out.
Her assistant is also super friendly and gentle with the shampooing and of course shampooing is essentially a head massage with warm water and soft foam.
If you’re into Myers Briggs, I didn’t ask her, but I would guess NaYoung is an ENFP or ENFJ.
Also, considering how shining clean and new the facilities were and how great the service was, the price was surprisingly low. I’ve never had salon loyalty, but now I do.
I recommend her wholeheartedly. Make an appointment with her and you’ll have an experience you’ll never regret. can’t wait to go back to her soon (:

I’ve searched a long time to find somebody who can cut my hair, which is naturally wavy. I finally came across Nayoung, who did a wonderful job cutting my hair and shaping it to enhance its natural shape. She is a master stylist and always has advice on how to maintain my hair daily. I would definitely come back for Na Young to cut my hair again.

Nayoung is always very friendly and flexible with my hectic schedule. She does my permanent makeup (eyebrows and eyeliner), haircuts, and eyelash extensions. Great service and quality of work! :)

NAYOUNG! wow ~she is awsome! i did hair perm couple months ago. unfortually burned all of my hair. so i just afraid i retry. after that i found the nayoung from korea internet webpage ‘dalsalam’ .i decide one more time try. result was very satisfied. she
told me why burned my hair and also she said ‘i got a solution. dont worry about it!‘
my bottom hair was still burned. she use the treatment bottom hair. i got disital perm again… i expected good result cus i beginning i confidence her. finally i can get silky big curl again… she recommend good wax for curly hair. she gave me 20 $ copon.wow.
i love her~ ^^
i will use the coupon next time for my hair manniqure. also i heared she doing eyelash extention first $ 115.what a cheap! i never try eyelash before but i wanna be try.
