Nails 2000 & Spa

My mom and I have been customers of this nail salon for over 10 years. I grew up in the area but now live in downtown Dallas and still make the trip to Nails 2000… even though there are countless nail salons within walking distance of me. Why do I do it? Because it is hands down THE BEST nail salon-​from the employees who know you by the sound of your voice when you call to make an appointment, to the quality of service and they are quick! Every time I go I get a gel manicure, deluxe pedicure, eyebrow and lip wax and am out of there in a little over an hour. The prices are also completely fair and my nails last me 2 – 3 weeks! Jenny is my absolute favorite– she is an expert at natural full eyebrows and is a perfectionist when it comes to the nails. I love her! :)
Paul is super sweet and will always answer the phone and squeeze you in as best he can! I can’t say enough about this place it is truly our second home.

I love this place! I’ve been going there for about 10 yrs, and I’ve never found a better nail salon. It’s family-​owned and a staple in the Casa Linda neighborhood. Jessica is awesome at pedicures as she pays great attention to detail; and every person who’s ever done my nails has done a great job! I highly recommend this place!

I decided to go a couple of days before Memorial Day weekend so the place was busy, lots of walk ins and appointments. I waited for about 25 minutes and then was taken to the back for my pedicure.

I only wish now that she had done 3 layers of nail polish for my gel nails to get the color right especially at the end of the nail. But other than that it’s a really nice and big place to go to.

My first time experience here was horrible! I walked in and was not acknowledged for about 15 minutes until I walked to the back and asked what I was suppose to do (sign in, just wait, etc.). I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes until someone found the paper that I had «signed in» on and the woman told me she was not able to do the gel manicure service that I wanted so I needed to wait for someone that did. Understandable, but I had been getting antsy from the long wait already. I finally got helped and the man that worked on my pedicure did great and gave a great massage. The woman that worked on my gel manicure was very nice, but the quality of the work was definitely not. I had tips on from my previous manicure and the woman did not get them all the way removed before painting my nails. It has been 3 days since my appointment and it looks like my nails have gone through 2 weeks of abuse already. I am hoping I just had a bad first impression, which is very possible, but I will be looking elsewhere in the area before I return back to this place.

Ever since I found Tom at Nail Spa 2000 I won’t go anywhere else. He takes his time and makes sure that everything is just right! I love the clean open atmosphere of Nail Spa 2000!

This is my wife’s review; «I’ve been going there for over 10 years. They are consistent, kind, clean and reasonably priced. I have my favorites– Lin and Tom, but I’ve found most to be very good. They take their time, especially Jenny.

While I got a really nice pedicure here once they actually started working on me, I was quite annoyed because they told us there was no wait, seated us in the chairs with lukewarm water to soak our feet and then didn’t have any technicians available for another 45 minutes. My water was cold after about 5 minutes and no one cared to check or refresh it. Frustrating & annoying. We would have gone elsewhere had we known that!

If you can get service when you go in, then it’s not bad. The problem, however, is that I’ve been to this salon numerous times where I’ve been told «it will be a few minutes» only to wait at least 15 minutes with no one acknowledging me. On previous occasions I’ve seen women wait 30 minutes for an available technician. If you have the time to wait, then this salon is fine. If, however, you need to be in and out, I’d suggest finding another place.

I loved this place. If you go ask for Jenny. She fit me on right at the end of the day, and did an amazing job. It’s super clean and quiet. I will be a regular here, for sure.

When I originally went to this salon, I was extremely impressed and decided to continue going out of my way to make sure they received my business. I’ve been going now for about 10 months and it has progressively gotten worse. The time before last I got the «dip» done on my nails. I would NOT recommend getting it done at this salon. My coworker’s always looks great, but they can’t seem to master the art there. I had to come back a couple of days later because the clear coat was completely coming off making my nails look ridiculous. The clear coat is the only thing that makes it look like a polish. So I went in to have it fixed and was told that I had to come back in a couple of days because the girl who did my nails wouldn’t be back until then. This was all after one of the more popular technicians threw a huge fit because she didn’t want to help me. The gentleman helping me ACTUALLY told me that it was because she wouldn’t get paid for helping me. That was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever witnessed in my life. There are too many nail salons in the area to be treated that way. I’ll take my two times a month business somewhere else.

The first time I came here was good. The second time, this morning, I sat there waiting forever and nobody would help me. It was like I was invisible. I continually asked for help and received none. DONT COME HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE.

I’ve been going to this salon for about 2+ years. As another reviewer mentioned the service is quite inconsistent. Sometimes I have a really good experience, and sometimes not. It doesn’t matter who you get, they never push your cuticles back. They all seem to rush through the service also. I’m actually one of those weird people that enjoy doing my own nails. Sometimes I would like to be pampered. So I still go, but I always have it in the back of my head that it may not be a good visit.

Ask for Kate — she’s the best thing going at this salon, otherwise it’s totally hit or miss. She’s now done my last two pedis and eyebrow waxes and her work is excellent. If she’s busy or out, so am I. Learned my lesson too many times.

I give Ann the 5 stars she did my pedicure. Did not make me feel like she was in a rush. Ann gave me the five star treatment. I left feeling very relaxed because of her. Cost $ 27.00
I give Crystal 2 stars she seems like a nice person… Until I asked for a French manicure with the gel powder fill. My sister told me about it and I wanted to try. Crystal Kept talking about all the steps she had to do and didn’t seem to happy about it. It made me start to stress out and feel bad for asking for it… because I felt like I was asking for too much … whenever I’m the one paying for her service. I didn’t even get a manicure all she did was to polish. No soaking in my fingers, no cleaning my nails, no massage or no clipping the cuticles. Just fill… Cost $ 43.00

I love Nails 2000. I had my acrylics done by a nearby nail salon and I was completely unhappy with the results. I came to Nails 2000 two days later and they had to do a complete fill since they were already coming up after 2 days! They did such an amazing job that I have been coming back every two weeks. They always listen to what I want and even though they’re usually packed, I never have to wait long. Super nice people, and the owners are always there making sure everyone is taken care of. If you are looking for a clean, professional salon then this is the place you want to go. The salon décor is beautiful and relaxing as well.

I’ve been coming here for 15+ years. Love the staff and they always do a great job. It can get crowded on the weekend so it’s best to make an appointment or go on a weekday. They are open late enough for me to go after work. This has always been a very sanitary nail salon. I love that it’s been owned by the same couple for so long! The massaging chairs are great, it’s a fun place to go with a friend if you make appts so you know you can have chairs by each other!

One of my favorite salons in Dallas! The staff is great. The weekends get pretty busy, so I would try and go off peak times. Not only are there prices fair, they are great at keeping my nails healthy when I consistently get gel. They always make me feel welcome and are super hygenic! I would recommend this nail salon to anyone.

Service is pretty inconsistent. I’ve had my nails done here a few times. A woman who I am assuming is a manager has done them twice: 1^st time she left them uneven (the tops were not filed properly down) and incredibly thick. The 2^nd time she rushed through them because another guest was loudly complaining (which in turn made the experience unpleasant) and left my nails with bubbles which made them crack less than a week later. For spending close to a $ 100, I wasn’t very happy. The pedicure was awesome though, the woman who did my toes was great. There is a man who sits second row back, on the left, at the aisle, can’t remember his name who does a GREAT job. He’s very meticulous and takes his time. Overall, I’d go back if I was low on time considering it’s very close to home, but they are lacking in consistency.

I get pedicures all the time, and this place is horrible. They barely try to push your cuticles back, 30 seconds per foot I complain they roll their eyes. They barely file your nails my toe nails are uneven not filed. I won’t even talk about how they barely worked on my rough feet. I will never ever go back. I tried to explain my upset nothing but excuses. If I am paying for the service I should get what I paid for. We won’t even touch the fact most of the employees don’t speak English.

If I could’ve given this place zero stars then I would have. The staff is not friendly, the service is inconsistent, & the salon is unsanitary. It’s almost as if my money isn’t good enough to be spent here.
Today I went in to get a fill-​in at about 11:15a. They weren’t really busy at all, as I walked in a couple of nail techs were walking around & a guy was sitting at a station appearing to look busy. I was initially told to have a seat at the last station. I went to the restroom really quick only to come back & be told to have a seat at a different station because she would not be doing my nails, instead the guy named «Paul» would be doing my nails. I had a seat & he begin to remove the polish from my nails & the file them. He seemed to be in a bit of a rush, but I didn’t think anything about it. As time went on, he became even more rushed & I had to continue to point out to him that he was not doing my nails as I had asked him to do. My nails were way too wide, way too thick, much shorter than I asked them to be, and he seemed to have trouble filing them down & evening them out. He also cut my fingers & had trouble drilling the actual nails & my my fingers!!! As I was telling him this, he made an excuse saying that I needed a completely new set instead of a fill-​in and I asked him why didn’t he just say that to begin with. He responds by saying «he doesn’t have time to do a full set for me because he has an appointment.» My response was that if that was the case, why would he even start my nails to begin with!!! Why wouldn’t he just say that!!! I could’ve come back another time!!!
Needless to say I will NEVER EVER visit this place again!!! Paul was extremely rude & not concerned about the satisfying the customer. My nails look absolutely horrible!!!
