Moe’s Southwest Grill

Absolutely no complaints!!! I’m not kidding when I say that I come here at least once a week, sometimes 3 times a week for lunch, even tho it takes 15 – 18 mins to get there. I’ve taken all my co workers there, with it being their FIRST TIME EVER!!! They were all about that Chipotle business until I introduced them to Moe’s. (Chipotle ain’t got nothing on Moe’s) Super fresh ingredients, and very large portions! I always get the Joey or Nachos. They have a loyalty program too. When you get to the register, you enter your phone number to receive coupons and they track every time you come. Go there 10 times and receive a free entrée. I’ve gotten 7 of them Super clean, very friendly staff! If you like spicy, add hard rock sauce to your meal! The one thing I do miss from other states I’ve lived in and going to Moes there, is that they had a bigger staff due to the location, and them yelling welcome to Moes, filling the whole store. But this location, just doesn’t need a lot of staff. Of course, They still do it here :) Maybe one day I’ll get to open up a store!

This is a healthy fast casual TexMex option for a great price!
However, if you are ordering to go, do it online or on the app. I tried calling in during lunch one day, and the lady said they are busy and I should order online. I said I couldn’t because it was for a large office group and some people wanted to pay with cash when I picked up all the orders. She sighed said fine, but I would have to hold. She placed me on hold and after a few minutes the line disconnected.
The saving grace here, is she called back and apologize for the disconnection!
They also own their mistakes on orders. I love this in a company. They messed up my order and immediately set it right and even gave everyone on my order a free burrito coupon because we had to wait!

I was finally able to dine here for lunch! I was always curious about it because its close by work and I’m always looking for new places to dine. First off 5 star for the customer service I was greeted with a warm and enthusiastic greeting «WELCOME TO MOES!!!» lol Love it! Everyone there was super friendly and efficient. The set up is similar to Chipotle where its an assembly line and you choose the ingredients.
As far as the food I would give it 3.5 stars. Moes has a promo on Mondays where any burrito is $ 5.55. Thats a great deal because it was more then enough food. They use 20+ fresh ingredients and all the food comes with unlimited chips and salsa. Since it was my first time I didn’t really know what burrito to order. They have a menu on the wall but it was kind of confusing as it did not have detailed descriptions of what was in the burrito. They have quirky names like «Joey Bag of Donuts» «Homewrecker» «Art Vandalay».
I decided to go with «The Homewrecker» this had a grass fed steak in a flour tortilla (they have a whole grain tortilla option too which I’ll try next time) with seasoned rice, beans, shredded cheese and pico de gallo with lettuce, all-​natural sour cream and handmade guacamole. (I found the description online because it wasn’t on the store menu) I love how the Protein options are organic and natural. So being pregnant I feel safe eating the fresh ingredients. Looking online I didn’t realize all the different types of food and combinations they provide. Maybe I wasn’t clear with the menu that was at the store but the online menu seemed a lot more detailed. The Homewrecker was delicious it was fully stuffed with everything! I was only able to eat half because the portion was so large.
The chips were a miss. Unfortunately they were too stale. «A for effort» because I love how they don’t charge extra for it like other places but they were stale and didn’t taste fresh :(I did love the vast selection of salsas they had from just the basic pico de gallo to the special honey sriracha. So they have something for everyone.

Will not be coming back. The rice was rock hard. Chicken was cold. The «famous» queseso was cold, had the smokin chicken was nasty as they put way too much seasoning on it. The place was empty on a Friday night and that should have been our clue to stay away. At least the Diet Coke was good.

A nice alternative to Tex-​Mex… the nachos are always a great choice BUT please make sure you are hungry! S/​N: you will definitely be ready for a refreshing Margarita or a nap after eating here! Well worth another visit esp if you want a break from the traditional…

I use the downtown location often for our catering and was happy there was one near my house. Super clean and friendly staff. Tucked away a bit (behind Stein Mart) but totally worth the look-​see.

It is called a «Southwestern Grill». In fact it is a mexican fast food place. The meneu consist of burritos, quesadillas, stacks, tacos, nachos, salads and burrito bowl. Frankly everything looked about the same. We ordered the «Close Talker» chicken salads. It was almost tasteless. I added shredded cheese, pico de gallo and had the vinaigrette on the side. The vinegar dominated the dressing and I almost choked on it. My spouse had the same chicken salad. There was almost no taste on the salad and ingredients and little pieces of grilled chicken were dry and tough. The cost for the salad is $ 6.99. We had a coupon where we got one complimentary if we purchased two drinks. Iced tea was $ 2.39 per cup. As we approached the cash register there was set on the tray a small amount of chips. Although the menu shows salsa we took the salsa off the condiment bar. There were a couple of mild sauces and a couple of hot. Once again the salsa was rather flat tasting. You can add $ 2.69 to your meal and get a drink and your choice of queso or guacamole. We probably should have opted for one of those. This place will have a difficult time competing with the older more established fast food mexican places in the area.

This place was disappointing. Food was not that good, but staff was friendly and efficient in the food service. It all tasted the same, like they just opened packages from the freezer case and heated it up. There was no one there when we went, but the tables were dirty. Blaring television and loud music piped in was annoying.

I’m really really really not sure why this place hasn’t blown up yet. Just… Oh. My. God.
My brother and I couldn’t decide on what we wanted for dinner and were passing by so thought «Hey we haven’t tried this place yet. Why not?»
At entering, the décor was great. Seats were super comfortable (which is not something you can usually say for a place like this).
My brother got the nachos. Ohmyohmy. The portions are HUGE! With any and all of your pickings! Fresh ingredients and make everything in front of you, chipotle style.
But let me just say this place offers so much more and is ridiculously amazing in comparison.
I got the «stack» which was essentially a crunch wrap and I got to pick whatever I wanted inside of it. Go with the ground beef. Always the ground beef.
I’m an avid chipotle goer, but this place tops anything I’ve ever had. The flavor, the ingredients, the portions, the service. Everything deserves a five star.
YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE. NOW. YESTERDAY. EVERYDAY.

I have been eating at Moe’s for 5 years and it never disappoints. Tonight I had the quesadilla for the first time and it was fantastic! My boyfriend, who is a diehard Chipotle fan, loves coming here for their famous white queso. I always go for the chicken, and love that they have fresh and pickled jalapeños.
Also enjoy the coke machine with all the flavor options! The location could be a little better but I come by at least 2 – 3 times a month.

Weird little burrito place with a Seinfeld-​themed menu and decent food. This’ll be a short review because there’s not a whole lot to say. The burrito was about on par with Chipotle, but not up to the level of Freebirds. The chicken and toppings were good, and they didn’t just load the thing up with rice like Chipotle tends to do. The tortilla was good, but too big for the load of toppings, so I ended up with big ol’ balls of tortilla at both ends of the thing — not a deal killer, but the other joints seem to avoid this somehow. They were out of guacamole while they were making my burrito, but they brought out a fresh cup for me right after I sat down. I slathered a little bit on my burrito, then sampled the rest with my (overly salted) chips — and it was good!
Anyhow, this isn’t a place I’d go out of my way for, and I have no idea what the Seinfeld thing is all about, but it’s now a known quantity in my book. With a gun to my head, I might pick this place over Chipotle, but it’s a coin flip.

Really love their steak! I definitely recommend going here the staff is extremely nice and courteous and the food is just to good for me not to comeback!

I got a coupon for this place, so what could possibly go wrong? Not a whole lot. I stopped by here the other night and it was pretty empty. It’s in a separate building in the middle of a giant shopping center lot. My first impression was that it was pretty nice. The vibe of the restaurant was kind of different. The whole place had a very early 2000’s to mid-2000’s design going on. It’s hard to explain so you’ll just have to go there and see. There’s a tiled floor, warm lighting, and plenty of seating. The inside has a colorful yet distinctly corporate sort of feel to it. It’s not a bad thing either, and it’s a welcome reprieve from the now ubiquitous polished concrete and exposed ducting warehouse look, which increasingly makes me feel like a cog in a money printing factory for the business.
The menu is fairly well organized, though at times it suffered from wall of text syndrome. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I got a burrito bowl and called it a day. Unlike Chipotle, they offer pre-​designed combinations, but you can still customize them. There’s a few more ingredient options here than you’ll find at Chipotle, but it’s not overwhelming like at Freebird’s. On the whole the food tasted okay, but the chicken was pretty bland and couldn’t really compare to the stuff at Chipotle. Everything else was basically just the usual rice, beans and vegetables so it’s hard to mess that up. A few other nice touches include the Coke Freestyle machine and the fact that they give you chips with every order, which grants you access to their salsa bars, which packs four different salsas, three of which I tried and they were all not too bad.

Been waiting for this to open for six months. We had them in other cities we’ve lived. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed our visit. They were very friendly and the food was fresh. We will be back.

Lots of burrito places opening up since Chipotle has been having such great success. How does this one stack up? Poorly.
I saw the sign and have been waiting to try this place for months. I finally decided to make the trip today and got a burrito.
The ingredients were all cold once I got my burrito (including meat and queso) and looked like they had been out all day while going through the line. The person who made my burrito was extremely tight with ingredients as well and gave me basically a small spoonful of chicken and immediately threw up the line about additional charge for queso. Normally I dont have a problem with this, but these burritos are more expensive and smaller than what you get at chipotle.
What separates Chipotle from all of these other burrito assembly line joints is the quality of their ingredients. You can tell they use high quality meat and veggies, as well as good tortillas. This place used very cheap tasting ingredients. The tortilla tasted low quality. The salsa tasted like it was pace thick and chunky picante sauce. The pico de hallo did not seem fresh. This is unacceptable for a place that wants to charge almost $ 2 more for a burrito than Chipotle.
Overall, you should definitely pass on this place. You can get a much better burrito elsewhere close by. I know I won’t go back.

Excited to see Moe’s opened. We stopped by this week and it was awesome! We took ours to go since it was late. The staff was super friendly and wonderful customer service. The food was very yummy! I would definitely recommend a try. I think you’ll enjoy it. ;)

One word: N A S T Y! Their queso is supposed to be famous, famous for being G R O S S!!! And to think is been waiting for this place to open.

I have to admit I’ve been waiting for this place to open for MONTHS! This Saturday my boyfriend and I passed a sign spinner on our way home. We stopped by and I got the jr burrito and my boyfriend got the quesadilla. They have so many fresh ingredients that I ended up having too much to fit into the jr burrito so they put it in a regular sized tortilla. They still charged me the jr price however. The chicken was good, a little dry and nothing like the marinated chicken from chipotle. They did have pickled jalapeños as well as fresh jalapeños and cilantro. Their hot salsa had a really nice kick. They get only 1 star deducted for the dry almost flavorless chicken and I didn’t really care for the shredded cheese either.

Great tacos, fresh ingredient. Nice comfortable dining room. Confusing menu with poor layout and silly food names like «Joey «burrito. No soft corn tortillas Food is 4 star menu layout lowers the overall to a 3 star. While I dined in saw two different people look at the menu laugh and leave. Come on Moes

Welcome to Moe’s! Yay! We finally have one in my hood. I have been a fan of Moe’s since my college days, but I was shocked when I couldn’t find one anywhere in Dallas besides the airport (Love Field). Yes, there are plenty of places where you can get a burrito or taco around here, but I couldn’t find a good quesadilla anywhere. Moe’s is similar to Chipotle, but it’s better. The menu is larger, the atmosphere is bright and fun, and the food is fresher and more flavorful than Chipotle. Also, Moe’s actually has mild salsas that really are mild… unlike Chipotle.
We arrived on the grand opening day and all sales went to Children’s Health, sweet! There are always some kinks to work out in the early stages of restaurant openings. One thing I noticed is that they put very minimal meat into the quesadillas. What’s up with that? My John Coctostan Quesadilla with chicken was basically a cheese quesadilla. I also noticed that they didn’t put the quesadillas onto the grill right after adding the meat, cheese, and beans. Instead, they continued down the line, asking if we wanted to add more toppings like lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and other cold toppings, before it went to the grill. Ummm, no, who wants warmed up sour cream inside their quesadilla? Maybe some people do, but I’ve never seen a Moe’s make quesadillas this way. I thought they were about to make a burrito, especially considering how the little bit of chicken was on the edge of the tortilla. And lastly, the quesadillas were cut in half, not in quarters… which isn’t a big deal, just an observation. Despite the differences in what I’ve seen at more established Moe’s locations, the food was still flavorful and almost as good as I remember.
I know that Moe’s will continue to improve as they get more established which is why I give them 4 stars! Hopefully over the next few months I can upgrade to 5.
