Established in 2009.

Originally a vision of Dr. Michael Rimlawi, one of North Americas top Spine Surgeons, The Minimally Invasive Surgical Institute was founded in 2009 minimally invasive procedures to the forefront of Medicine. Both ACGME Fellowship-​Trained and with a deep desire to his patients, he began the work to establish a state of the art spine, hand, foot, orthopedic, and general pain center that would serve the DFW community. Three years later that vision came true as they opened the doors to The Minimally Invasive Surgical Institute’s new facility. At MISI, people can have initial consultations, MRIs, Pain Mapping, Spine Surgery, and Physical Therapy.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon Dr. Michael Rimlawi is Director and Founder of the MISI team. He is a board-​certified, fellowship-​trained spine surgeon who completed unique training in both orthopedic-​spine and neurosurgery-​spine at the renowned University of California San Diego. Dr. Michael Rimlawi treats all aspects of spinal disease including degenerative and traumatic conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. More than just a back doctor, he is a leader in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery and a pioneer in endoscopic laser spine surgery.
