History
Established in 2006.
In the early 1970’s, I had the good fortune to be taken under the wing of the late Mr. Terrill Gardner, who taught me HOW to teach a method he spent thirty years perfecting. It works, guaranteed. He took me from Rolling Stones through studies at Berklee College in the seven years of lessons he gave me.
I taught at McCord Music for fifteen years, then privately in my home for another thirteen years while working a «regular» job as a programmer, then at Brook Mays Music for five years.
In 2006, Brook Mays closed the location where I was teaching. I decided to go it alone and opened Mike Ellis Music Instruction in 2006 in northeast Dallas. It has been great and I look forward to continuing for a long time to come.
Meet the Business Owner
Mike E.
Business Owner
My name is Mike Ellis. I have been a Lake Highlands resident for thirty-seven years, raised three children here and am a local music instructor in the Lake Highlands area. My music instruction business has been featured in the Advocate Magazine.
I have a private studio with a large, comfortable waiting area for family or friends, a teaching area for the student and teacher only, with a window for viewing the student any time during the lessons, and restrooms and water fountain down the hall from my studio.
Give me just one half hour of your time, at no charge to you, and I will show you why students say I am the best instructor they ever had.
