Always satisfied! And I’m critical about my food especially soul food. kool aid takes you back! Veggies are good not overly salted but just right.

Very bad experience… The food was old mainly the meats, the smothered pork chops were more then a day old in my opinion and the Mac and cheese was watery it was tasteless and I’ll never be back yuk…

Okay, one star is for the customer service. I want to get that out of the way. The customer service here is absolutely stellar, unfortunately the food is not. I feel like this is a conversation that should not even have to be had. If you are cooking soul food, I need you to cook with fresh ingredients. It is the backbone of what we do! I swear to God if it could be canned, they had it on the buffet. Canned fruit. Canned greens. Canned green beans. Canned sweet potatoes. Canned peaches. Boxed stuffing with too much sage. CANNEDEVERYTHING. And the mac-n-cheese was from a box. Seriously?! I cannot express how disappointed I was with my meal. Even the sweet tea was from a powder vs. being brewed properly. The biggest insult had to be the proteins. The pig feet were tough. The fried porkchops were just paper thin. Heck, the breading on it was thicker than the meat itself! I don’t want to seem mean because this is someone’s baby, and people obviously love it considering that it stayed pretty full, but I will not be coming back. Again, the staff was awesome, but you lose me when you do peach cobbler with phyllo dough, and have the sheer nerve to cut up store bought cakes and serve them like they are supposedly homemade. It would be a cold day in hell before I ever presented someone with a store bought pound cake. You have to have pride somewhere.
