Specialties
We at Meadows Chiropractic specialize in one-on-one time with the doctor. The doctors do most of «hands on» work in the office. From your consultation and exam, to your adjustment, even muscle/trigger point work. They know what’s going on with you.
We work on (adjust) the joints in the spine, as well as non-spinal joints such as the jaw (TMJ), shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, etc. Muscle work is also very important to us. Relaxing the muscles that move those joints can decrease pain, decrease tension from stress, and help keep those joints in alignment!
Our patients are just everyday people. From 92 years young (and counting) to just hours old, marathoners, pregnant mommas, disabled, you name it. We can’t claim to have «seen them all», but we’ve seen a lot!
We’d love to be your Chiropractor for LIFE!
History
Established in 2009.
Dr. Cox and Dr. Ellis met in Chiropractic school and remain good friends to this day. In 2007, Dr. Cox moved to the Texas coast to practice while Dr. Ellis stayed in Dallas to work and be with her family.
In 2008, a 2nd hurricane on the Coast brought Dr. Cox back to the Big D where he began a position in the same office that Dr. Ellis was practicing. In 2009, with a similar dislike for the business practices of their office, they took a leap of faith and quit their salaried positions at a time when the economy was falling, to start an office they could be proud to practice in.
Meet the Business Owner
Andrea E.
Business Owner
Dr. Andrea Ellis was born and raised on the west coast (a military brat) and moved to Dallas, where her father’s family originated, in 2002. It was here in Dallas that she discovered Chiropractic and decided to put aside her business degree and cubicles in pursuit of a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She graduated from Parker University in 2007.
It was in Chiropractic school that she met her husband, Billy Kuykendall and his friend, Frank Cox.
She and Billy Kuykendall live in Richardson and have 2 boisterous little ones, Molly age 6 and Mason age 4. Dr. Ellis is also step-mom to Hudson, age 17, a senior at Plano Senior High.
Dr. Ellis loves helping all of her patients, but she is passionate about working with moms, moms-to-be, and children. She is currently training to get her Diplomate in Pediatrics from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. She also intends to obtain a certification in lactation consulting as well as her doula certification by the end of 2015.
