Specialties

We are a brick and mortar store location at the South East corner of E. Northwest Highway and Easton in Lake Plaza shopping center, specializing in representing the crafts and arts of local Dallas residents and spreading knowledge through courses and flash classes. We hope to connect the quirky, curious, and fascinating folks who live amongst us and learn from each other!

History

Established in 2014.

Since opening our doors in April, 2014, we are proud to have quadrupled the amount of artists and crafters we have the honor of representing! Our goal is to earn the right to be the ‘go-​to’ neighborhood shop for folks to find unique gifts any day of the week (Tuesday through Saturday) from many of the artists they have grown to know and love from the many local markets, festivals, and fairs.

This is a fantastic little artsy shop full of handmade wonderfulness. I got an awesome catnip snake that my cat just loved, several great pairs of earrings, and am in love with a gorgeous quilted purse and switch plate covers I saw there. They also have the most creative classes, from soapmaking to zentangles… all sorts of really cool stuff and events! Personal service relationships, too. I’ve been looking for a store like this for a long time.

This shop is so full of fun, unique, gifts, jewelry and home objects. It’s a one of a kind boutique. All locally crafted by all kinds of local artisans and designers (which is the coolest part). Proprietor Chris is a sweetheart, and will guide you through the goodies. Would love to take one of their crafty classes one day, they look like great fun. Worth the trip east for this design destination.

Now I admit I’m biased, being one of Makers Connect vendors. with my hats and jackets but even if I wasn’t this would be a shop I would visit frequently. The «vibe» is about «connecting» and «sharing» and «selling» and learning” and having a good time. Chris has really invested in this adventure and comes up with ideas to expand the it’s scope. I have taught a class in making my hat and also have taken 2 classes. Access to the shop is very easy with the parking plentiful. I’ve really enjoyed being part of Makers Connect.

Great place to purchase unique gifts, jewelry, and goods from local artists and craftspeople! Just what Dallas needs: a real meeting ground for creative folks to buy, sell, teach, and create.
Owner Chris is funny, warm, and welcoming, with an eye for great local goods and interesting finds. You can feel her enthusiasm for the artists she champions when she tells you the stories behind the pieces that fill the gallery.

Awsome store. Lots of very cool locally hand made items from several local artist. They have jewelry, art, t-​shirts, plants, pens, lamps… you name it. The best part if you find something you like (and i know you will) you will be supporting our local artist. What an idea! They also offer several different craft classes for example… jewellery making, soap making and drawing classes to name a few. Be sure and stop by if you want to find something cool or a nice gift that you won’t find anywhere else for somebody special.
