Specialties
Madrina, a new elevated dining restaurant concept from the Misery Loves Co. Restaurant Group (Sal Jafar, Michael Martensen, and Jeremy Hargrove) has won D Magazines Restaurant of the Year 2015 for Dallas, TX.
Chef Julio Peraza menu will feature Mexican dishes crafted via French techniques, such as hay-smoked foie gras made with jaggery, plantains, pepita and coconut; steak tartare with pickled papayas, dried jicama, capers, shallots and egg yolk; and okra-bell pepper ratatouille with masa crêpe.
Michael Martensen (Proof + Pantry) is putting together a cocktail list of Mexican and French inspired drinks, and the wine menu will heavily feature French varietals.
Misery Loves Co. has partnered with design firm, Breckinridge Taylor, on the restaurant’s aesthetic. The space, like the food, will draw inspiration from Mexico and France — more specifically Paris and Mexico City.
