My chicken avocado sandwich was ok. It needed more salt or something. My sweet potato fries were tepid and not crisp. We told the server and he offered to bring me a new batch. It was nice of him to offer, but I was full. However the meal wasn’t satisfying. I would try them again but I’d have to get something else. My friend said her roasted vegetable salad with grilled chicken with a vinaigrette dressing was very tasty and good. It looked fresh. The only vegetable that is roasted is the bell pepper, but we were told that before ordering. Atmosphere was nice. Not too pricy but the portions are not as big as you might be used to, which just means no left overs, which is fine. The salad was a good size though.

We visited this restaurant on 1÷17÷16 with friends and family. We loved this restaurant and will come again! The food was excellent and surely healthy. I am from Kansas, this is a restaurant I will visit again and every time I come to Dallas. If you like healthy eating choices, this is the restaurant for you.

I had a Lyfe gift card and tried many things on the menu here. I like the idea of Lyfe Kitchen, I just don’t think their food tastes that great. Maybe it’s a preference thing, but I had their tomato basil soup of the day once and it was way too acidic. I had their burger and it was very dry. I had their fish tacos, and I’m sure other people love these, but they tasted too fishy for me. I love sweet potato fries but Lyfe’s fries are soggy :(The quinoa crunch bowl was alright. There are some great things about Lyfe though, like the chia drinks, and I did have a breakfast burrito that I loved! And I had a great latte! The service has always been great too! This place has a lot of potential, just tweak the menu a bit and produce consistently good quality food.

So we were in the mood for something light and healthy after spending a few days in Dallas eating BBQ& Food Trucks, right? Check. So this place came up, and we went in. It is kind of «Little Local Vegan Hipster Café» meets«Fast Food Chain». The menu was full of names that didn’t make sense, and it really seemed to me that as I looked at the make up of each item, things were kinda thrown together to sound healthy, but not necessarily in any truly creative way. I ended up getting the«Forbidden Falafel Wrap», which was a falafel and some veggies in a wrap, with a Chipotle mayo on the side. Meh. To drink, I chose one of their«waters». To be specific, I got Ginger Mint, which really sounded refreshing. It wasn’t really cold, and it seemed that along with ginger and mint, they threw in some potting soil. My first comment was that I felt like a was drinking a garden. Not that it was bad, but it kinda just went too far for my taste. I wouldn’t refuse to eat here again, but it just wouldn’t be my choice.

Lyfe kitchen is a great place on multiple levels. I always find it really surprising if people haven’t heard of them or have tried it, because how are people NOT hearing about this place? Awesome: The restaurant itself is hip, inviting and there is always plenty of seating. Nice patio if the weather is nice and the back half of the dining room is great if you are having a nice meal by yourself and a book. The staff here is consistently friendly and efficient. Seriously — ALL of them. They clearly have a great training model and management. Even More awesome: The food is really, really good. Especially for fast-casual concept but this would be good if it was a sit down service level. Everything is fresh, healthy and a home run for the very reasonable prices. I frequently get Lyfe Kitchen delivered via DoorDash and it is always good arriving at my doorstep too. The best part: Are you a celiac or NCGS? You should eat here with confidence. Everything gluten free is clearly marked on the menu and there are a ton of choices. When you tell them you require gluten free medical not just gluten free by choice they take care — change out gloves, clearly mark orders, etc. I have never gotten sick here. Personal favorites: The Margherita flatbread is an amazing GF pizza stand in. The hummus is zippy and fresh. Best thing on the menu is the banana date smoothie. I. love. this. place.

Really good food! We were pleasantly surprised with their focus on healthy and low sodium — thought it might be boring, but boy were we wrong. Ordered to go, and I had a hibiscus iced tea while I waited, it was great, not too fruity or sweet, just a hint of hibiscus flavor. The BBQ chicken Flatbread was fantastic, the chicken was still most and juicy, and the crust was thin and crispy — I would’ve never known it was gluten free. There was also plenty of cheese, I was worried they’d skimp to make it healthier. The pizza sauce was just a small amount of BBQ on the crust. The garden salad was perfect, a nice mix of field greens and pickled red onions. We added chili lime tofu and it was the best cold tofu I’ve had outside of home, they somehow added a ton of flavor without too much salt. We will be back a lot more, it’s fast and not too pricy, a great option for healthy food when we don’t have time to cook.

Great bit of healthy food. I like how they put the calorie count on the menu and it’s all healthy. I had the Grilled Pepper Quesadilla and it was really light and tasty. It didn’t have too much melted cheese which ruins it. It was a light and fresh tasting meal. Perfect for a small lunch. The restaurant was for a client meeting and was not too noisy. I would definitely go back.

There are many great restaurants in the Preston Center area. Lyfe Kitchen has become my go-to lunch choice. The food is awesome — varied and always fresh and flavorful; the facility is top-knotch — vibrant, clean, and hip; and the staff is awesome — counter staff, kitchen staff, wait staff and management are clearly focused on one thing: ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I am working my way through the menu and have had the Mahi sandwich, burger, ancient grains, Thai curry, salmon, corn chowder, numerous sides, kale banana smoothie, and several other drinks. Everything is unique, fresh, flavorful and healthy. I love this place for a convenient, no-compromise lunch 3 – 4 times each week. I’m looking forward to visiting for dinner so I can enjoy the food with their interesting wine selection.

I used to enjoy coming here for lunch, but things have take a turn for the worse lately at LYFE kitchen. Their menu keeps changing, and not necessarily for the better. They’ve lost consistency in the quality of the dishes and things just seems to get worse each month that passes by. The service has also suffered. Aside from things being slow, and there only being one person at the front during lunch hour, the staff just does not seem to care anymore about how things get done. I had some friends tell me of their most recent awful experience, which was, sadly, their first experience at LYFE kitchen. One of them received a dish completely different from what she ordered(and paid for). The other had ordered(and paid for) a particular dish and requested it without the sauce. When the dish was brought to her, it came with the sauce. She returned it, and a new dish was brought back to her not once, not twice, but three times, each time with the sauce, which she had explicitly specified each and every time that she did not want. I find this extremely disappointing for a restaurant that once took pride in accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies. They used to keep a detailed menu at the front, which specified every ingredient – I had heard a rumor this was due to an incident involving a nut allergy and an ambulance years ago and the desire to prevent such incidents from reoccurring, but to be honest, I don’t know if they even still keep this list or bother to listen to customers’ specifications anymore. Sure, the GPS-esque table trackers and ionized water for cleaning the tables are gimmicky, but that’s about it. Their service is not superior, and it’s hardly the emblem of sanitary conditions. They don’t even bother to replace the soap dispensers in the bathroom sinks. My favorite dish was the quinoa crunch wrap /quinoa crunch bowl – but in general, something I appreciated about their dishes was the ability to substitute(or add) any meat with gardein chicken. Lo and behold, the gardein chicken apparently lost popularity and they no longer carry it. As someone who has been a vegetarian for many years, I’ll admit gardein is not the most fantastic meat substitute in the world, and I really wouldn’t mind its omission from the menu, if only LYFE kitchen’s tofu alternative weren’t so awful. There are restaurants in the Dallas area which are not as vegetarian-friendly as LYFE kitchen is(or purports to be), and they have much better tofu. With the money I pay there, I’d almost rather buy the ingredients and make the dishes at home myself. If you’re in the Preston Center area, you’re better off taking your money to True Food Kitchen just a few streets down, and spending a few more dollars more there – the money is well worth it, the service superior, and your food will taste much better and more fresh.

Very friendly staff and manager. Roasted onion quesadilla was a great start, not your typical tortilla, wheat and more flavorful. Onions were tender and the avocado and smoked salsa were nice adds. Cruuhnch salad was recommended and had lots of nice veggies including broccoli, avocado, radishes and cherry tomatoes to name a few. The sriracha was a bit hotter than expected but got used to it after a while, maybe on the side might be better for those who don’t care for the heat. Added chicken that was dry and bland and will omit next time. Will go again and check out for a second time.

This place is fresh! Like, fresh to death cool, but also really, fresh concept and fresh ingredients. But be warned, you’re definitely paying the price tag for the freshness :)

Ordered online a few days ago and it was amazing. I had to go back for more!!! But after today I will never eat at this location again. I ordered online just like before. This time I got the wrong item, a crunch salad instead of a wrap. I brought it back and they remade it, but left out the extra avocado I paid an additional $ 1.00 for. Plus forgot to add tomatoes & vegetables, and extra quinoa, and arugula. Only put 4 cubes of tofu in my wrap, which also costs extra. I hate to say it but it sort of felt like revenge for bringing the wrong order back to be fixed. Lyfe kitchen has great vegan options but the service seems to be extremely inconsistent. Two stars for effort. They gave me a side of vegetables to add to my wrap. A bit hard to swallow the bill when the food doesn’t live up to the previous visit. I am not the type to ever bring food back but it’s too expensive not to say anything.

I’ve eaten here many times for lunch and it’s always very good and healthy, albeit a bit pricey. Was on my way to breakfast this morning at Gem Juice Bar, and noticed Lyfe was open, so decided to give their breakfast a try. Fail. Seven bucks for the world’s smallest burrito and a mini fruit cup. I guess that explains why the place was completely empty. Had to go get something to eat after leaving, which pretty much tells the tale. I’ll be back for lunch, but not breakfast.

Stopped in for coffee. Also got a carrot zucchini muffin. The coffee was delicious and the muffin ok. The rest of the menu looks appealing so I’ll be back for a full meal. The space is very pleasant and they have nice China and silverware service which makes things more esthetic ally pleasing. I’m a fan.

Great place for healthier food options. It has menus that cater to specific diets, but also provides options for those that aren’t as picky. If you have any concerns about a dish they have a binder of everything specifically so you can put your mind to ease. Our group got the Spicy Chicken and Black Bean Bowl, the Fish Tacos, and the regular burger with a side of Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Squash. Every dish was delicious! Granted, the service is a little slow, but it wasn’t to the point to make us impatient. A nice afternoon sitting on their patio and you wouldn’t even notice! Highly recommended!

I was in the area doing errands and I was hungry and did not want to go home and eat. I have been wanting to come to this place and check it out. I ended up trying the fish tacos and I substituted the salad for a side of fruit. I also got a lemonade while I waited for my food to be ready! When I got home I dug in and everything was so delicious. You get 2 tacos, which is the perfect portion for lunch. I fully enjoyed it! So glad I got to try this place out finally.

Came here for lunch with a group of friends. We came on the early side(11:30) since it can get busy. Great experience! The restaurant is clean and service is beyond top-notch. The manager checked on us, the staff checked on us — and the staff also took a table order when one of us decided that the sweet potato fries looked too good to not order those as well. There are multiple menus to order from — gluten-free, vegan and standard. All menu items are well described(not on the posted wall menu, but in the booklets, so look there first if you want to know exactly what’s in a dish) and come with a calorie count. I love that because it helps the decision making process. Drinks are delish — I had beet hibiscus juice. Amazing. Water is available to help yourself — ambient, chilled and chilled sparkling. Love the options. The staff will come around frequently to give you refills of whichever you’d selected. All in all, Lyfe Kitchen was a great lunch stop and I’d go here again any time!

I really liked the vegan tofu tacos here. They didn’t taste fishy at all, the sauce on them was tasty, and the cabbage was fresh and crisp. My only complaint was that I could have used more of that creamy chipotle sauce on the tacos themselves. I also had the cucumber mint juice which was good, a bit on the sweet side, and very cucumber-y in a good way. I wasn’t too interested in the other vegan options, because I can easily make Gardein stuff at home for less money.

Pros: 1. Fast takeout service(only waited at the bar for 5 minutes) 2. Friendly cashier willing to answer any questions I had about the menu 3. Cool herb tower in the middle of the restaurant 4. Healthy options Cons: 1. I got the thai red curry and felt that it was too watery and bland. When I think curry, I think thick sauce, but this one just sloshed around the bottom of my takeout box. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the flavor was good, but it just wouldn’t stick to any of the rice/veggies. 2. Chili lime tofu was tough and I did not taste the«chili lime» flavor that it claimed to have 3. Meal was $ 11.99 and I would have expected a better tasting meal for that price point. Decent place to stop by if you’re in the Preston Center area and looking for something healthy, but I’d think twice about coming here again. For an in-dining experience I prefer True Food Kitchen across the street or Snap Kitchen for fast to-go.

Lyfe Kitchen is such a great concept — healthy food, fast, and tasty. I especially love the different menus so anyone with a dietary restriction or preference can easily find food on the menu that fits their needs without being tempted by things they can’t(or don’t want to) have. The buffalo chicken tenders are great and the serving is rather large. I also had the grilled butternut squash and Brussels sprouts– WOW. Taste buds. Activated. When we left I was satisfied, but not overstuffed. Just perfect. The idea is along the same lines as True Foods Kitchen, but more casual and less expensive.
