Tuesday Evening Didn’t know what to expect but decided to roll the dice and was not disappointed. Called ahead and arrived to see chicken under a heat lamp. Regrets started to sink in thinking only the fries would be the only thing made fresh to order. Nothing much going on in the inside of the restaurant but a noticeable tv mount bracket and security cameras. The chicken was just right crispy zesty and flavorful, juicy but not greasy. The French fries come thin, seasoned and crispy. The portions were big, food was reasonably priced and I will be coming back to try to the gumbo.

Believe me I am from South Louisiana and this is the best chicken I’ve eaten… well seasoned need no hot sauce or peppers. Catfish and Shrimp even better. Worth the cost.

Let’s get something out of the way: Some people think that only 5 star restaurants can achieve a five star rating. I don’t eat at those places. A five star experience to me means enjoying the food I ordered, feeling like I paid a fair price for it, and dealing with decent people. Louisiana Famous hit the mark in all areas! Nice clean restaurant, nice friendly employees. You order at the counter and then come back to said counter when your order is ready. I had the special for that day which was 10 fish nuggets and 3 fried shrimp, fries and a canned soda. I also had to try a green apple slushie. There was food sitting under heat lamps, but my order definitely did not come from there. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Perfect skinny cut fries, nicely seasoned and perfectly fried shrimp and fish nuggets. You will notice I keep saying«fish» and not«catfish». The sign just said fish, and in my hungry haste I didn’t clarify, and once I started eating it was so delicious that I really didn’t care if I was eating the cast of Finding Nemo. Great tarter sauce too, a bottle of it, not the little packages. Green apple smoothie? NICE. The location is crappy. But that crappyness(?) is exactly what made me think they might have some good food… you know what I’m saying. Hate i waited so long to try them!

In a hurry at lunch I thought I’d give it a shot. Walked in 2 people eating and 2 separate people waiting. I placed order for simple in and out; 2 piece breast and thigh. Made it a combo mashed potatoes and medium tea. After 5 minutes the first order goes out then 5 more minutes the second goes out. Now after 12 minutes another customer comes in and I over hear that chicken will be 5 minutes so I walk over and ask if that’s 5 more minutes for me too. She says yes so I just walk out. I still didn’t even get a drink. Never again! They are very first in first out. I would have asked for my money back but it took 3 minutes to just to use a credit card so I just cut my loses. Maybe it was an intervention since I went home and had a salad instead.

Another chicken joint that obviously fries poultry and fish in the same grease! Nasty, and a proven cause of bacterial infections of the stomach!

Tried this place for the second time and I really wasn’t too impressed. Customer service was great but the food wasn’t. The chicken was dry and cooked too long the fries were too soft. So I gave them 3 stars again. The prices are a little steep… the chicken wasn’t fresh it was already made. I like to have fresh chicken because there is no telling how long that chicken been sitting out. This will be my last time coming here. i just wanted to give these guys a second chance… but definitely a no go for me

There’s just something about this place that’s fun! We were driving by and saw this at the corner of a strip center off Buckner and were like«why not?» Nothing hoity toity about this joint – just good ol’ fried food at a cheap price serves by hardworking, friendly people. I got the 3 tender/2 fish fillet combo which came with a can soda-$ 8.99 for a huge plate of food – solid deal. My sister got the two piece chicken with cole slaw. Our food came out piping hot and fresh. Chicken and fish were seasoned really well and the fries are addicting. Other people were getting the wings which looked really good, so I’ll be back to try those. Definitely give this place a try if you’re wanting some fried goodness. They also have specialty items on the menu like gumbo and fried rice!

I gotta tell ya… not at all what I expected! Great food! Got the 2pc combo with fries. I would eat here over KFC, Popeyes or any other fried chicken joint. Not in the best location but well worth the visit!

Great food and Thai tea! The chicken flavor reminds me of Razzoo’s fried gator tail(a good thing in my opinion). The don’t skimp on the ingredients for Thai tea.

Even though this place doesn’t have anything for a Vegetarian like me. But, my family loved the food at this place… we noticed that after the order was taken. They started to prepare, and cook the chicken, and shrimp that we had ordered for the family to eat for dinner. The food tasted fresh which is an awesome quality for a great dinner. All I can say is that my family have become fans of this place and will be coming back for more. As for me, I guess I’ll just drink their Thai Tea, and eat some of their French Fries. The sacrifices of a Father/Husband must do so that his wife, and children could eat some great food. LOL!!! ;)

Fish, shrimp and chicken are winners. With a side of dirty rice – not a fan of the fries usually overcooked and dry. Love the flavors

As someone who was born and raised in Louisiana, I usually hate all places that say they have«Louisiana» food, but this restaurant was excellent and had authentic Cajun food. I loved the atmosphere and loved the servixe. Two thumbs up! I’ll definitely be eating here on a regular basis.

came here based off the reviews & ranting & raving from a fellow Unilocaler! lol walked in… this is so not what i was expecting it to be… but then again… not sure what i was expecting it to be lol placed my order & waited a good minute… which was cool b/c that let me know the food was fresh. i got the 2 pc combo… it was good… i’m not a spicy food person & that’s the only downfall… other than that the food was good… great flavor… friendly staff… i’ll be back!!!

I LOVE Good food and this place did not disappoint. Back home in North Louisiana and South Arkansas there is Chic A Dilly and in North Louisiana there is Southern Classic… wrll this is the closest to these places in the the Dallas area we can get!!! They also have fish and shrimp and other Louisiana favorites like red beans and rice. Most importantly… they are WAY better than Rudy‘s. I will only support Rudy‘s because they are a stable in the community but when it comes to good cooked food… no. LOL They did need to change the oil and they could have got 5 stars. Yes.I will be back soon

Clean restaurant, great food. Chicken is Seasoned very well. I love the skinny fries, I can eat those alone. They Have this Thai Tea that is real good too. It taste like iced sweet coffee. I had the fried rice that was made to order, not sitting in a food warmer. I had the fish was great too. Ate it with my roll, fries and Cole slaw. I will be back.
