I was a new patient and only had an hour for my appt due to my work schedule. The staff were very accommodating and I was evaluated by Dr. Colerick within an hour.
I will definitely recommend this office and will return for my follow up visits.

Too expensive for a regular eye checkup. My old doctor in Houston (Colony Eye Care) only charges around $ 40 – 60 for the checkup if your eyes don’t change, and a bit more for contact lens fittings. Here, I was charged $ 275 for a routine exam where my eyes didn’t change and didn’t get fitted for new contacts. Also, the wait was quite long — arrived early for my 1:30 appointment and wasn’t done until close to 3pm, most time spent waiting.
A second star here only because the staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Key-​Whitman is the best place ever. I had cataract removal and bilateral implants without any discomfort or problems. The people at the reception desk were polite and helpful. I didn’t have to wait for a prolonged period of time for my appointment. I would have no problem recommending Key-​Whitman as the eye center to go to. I had my choice of Doctors to see and was able to ask questions freely and was given explanations that were understandable.

Key Whitman took me on a same day appointment. I really appreciated it as I was having some really blurred vision. Front desk was very nice and quick. The technician came to take me back for the eye examination. Lance was very thorough and really courteous-​polite. I actually thought he was the doctor. That good!
The doctor finally came to the office and I do have to say was a bit loud but he did have his assistant with him. He took over and did the actual eye exam. Nice.

I decided to come here (rather than the optometrist I had been going to) because I knew I had cataracts and wanted to go someplace that did cataract surgery. It’s a good thing I did! In the course of the eye exam, the doctor saw something in my L eye, did a further test, and discovered the beginnings of nerve damage from glaucoma, even though my pressure was within the normal range during the exam.
I also felt that every single person here was very good — nice to deal with and good at their job, I highly recommend Key-​Whitman.

I hesitate to write this, but I wanted to share an ethics issue.
A few weeks ago a young lady called my cell asking for my late husband. I told her that she had the wrong number. She asked for his name again, and did not identify herself, nor the company she represented. She quizzed me by asking if I knew him and that this number was listed as his «emergency contact». I asked her to identify herself and asked why she is calling. She said, I am with Key-​Whitman and I’m calling to remind him that it’s time for a check up. OMG!!! They are using the «emergency contact info» to bring in business! Not only was I reminded that I lost my husband 6 months ago, but I had to say it, too. Has the meaning of «emergency» changed? What am I missing here?

Had my consultation Appt. this morning with Stephanie. She couldn’t have been nicer & very clear on directions & instructions. She even told me to bring my glasses & get corrected RX while in surgery so I would have them after surgery. I love Key-​Whitman! Even at their busiest I feel like my time is as important as theirs. I feel important & like I’m with friends. Many Thanks !

DON’T GET SURGERY HERE!
I had LASIK eye surgery here in May 2014. You never see the same doctor, and I hadn’t met the doctor who did my actual surgery until I was going under the laser.
A few weeks after surgery my eye sight was still very blurry. I realize it takes time to heal, but weeks?
I saw a doctor I had never met before for my checkup and he said my eyes were fine. I insisted on seeing the Doctor who performed my surgery, but he doesn’t do checkups in Dallas? Really? I had to drive to Arlington if I wanted to see the man who actually used the laser on me. That’s really nice… I sucked it up and drove to my 1:00 appointment that had been confirmed through the e mail reminders they send out. I arrived 15 min early and they didn’t have me in their system. You are kidding me right? They said they will try and «squeeze» me in since they are so busy. I saw the doctor 30 min after my scheduled appointment since they were doing me a favor. I saw Dr. Barkee. He noticed I had a group of cells that formed after my surgery that I might need to have removed. Great!
Now I have to see him every few months to check and see how these «cells“are doing, but I still have to go see him in Arlington. I had my appointment last Monday, but needed to reschedule. I called 5x and left two voicemails. They send me an e mail notifying me that I missed my appointment 3 days later and need to reschedule. Down right entertaining at this point.
This place is a joke and you will never have a doctor who truly understands what is going on. All of them have a different diagnosis and different levels of certification. I wish I had not gone here and would do anything to take it back.

After a year of suffering from dry eye and cornea scratches at so called cornea experts, I discovered Key Whitman and their Lipiflow Procedure. Where nobody could help before, they were able to improve my vision from 20 – 60 to 20 – 30 in one month. I am so happy for being able to see again.

Went in with my wife for lasik and waited an hour past our appt time. You have to go into four different rooms for measurements so thats four more rooms of waiting. Complete waste of time and awful customer service. They are extremely extremely disorganized. Terrible experience overall. Part of the problem is that they are too big and nobody knows what the other person is doing so you keep going around and around in circles. Take my advice and find another eye doctor.

I had this procedure 13 months ago. One of the top best decisions I made!!! It was great having this procedure and flying to Hawaii two months later. I was diving, swimming and running while never worrying about glasses and contacts. Everything looked so crisp and beautiful. The entire staff was wonderful.

This place Is amazing and up to date with all technology! SHAWN was amazing’ super clean and nice!!!

The facility is very nice and the procedure went well.
Dr’s do not respect patient’s time.
Visit #1 consultation: in exam room waiting on doctor over an hour.
Visit #2 Lasik procedure: on time
Visit #3 post Lasik exam: appointment scheduled for 8:25. It is now 9:26 and still no doctor.
However, I can see see.

My wife used Key Whitman for cataract removal and a lens implant. She has been 100% satisfied with her surgery, the follow ups and her ability to see quite well. When I had my eyes down she wanted me to go to her doctor however i decided to go with the recommendation of my doctor and went to another clinic. That was a hugh mistake. The lesson learned is that if you have great medical care then stick with it, don’t venture into the unknowns. These are professionals that know their business. Do not expect to get such services at a discount as they are expensive however other such locations are also expensive.

My experience with the Key-​Whitman Eye Center has been remarkable! It wasa long time goal of mine to get LASIK. Year after year I promised myself the gift of sight only to put it off due to not understanding the procedure and being unsure. This past Christmas 2012, I did it. It was such a smooth process. The Plano Key-​Whitman staff made it their mission to see that I understood everything that was going to happen and that I was ready. I was so thankful to be put through extensive eye exams that are required prior to surgery. Dr. Haq performed my LASIK surgery and he was wonderful. He guided me through every step during the procedure that morning and was such a positive force. Thank you Dr. Haq and Key-​Whitman Eye Center. I am now your biggest fan! Germaine B. I had LASIK done about 5 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier! My vision is now ²⁰⁄₂₀ and can’t remember life before LASIK! The staff at Key-​Whitman is amazing. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes at any follow up appt and they are always kind and answer any questions I have. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their eyes done.

I’ve had cataracts removed from both eyes, and for the first time since I was 6 yrs old I can see without glasses (I’m 55 now). I found the staff to be professional as well as cordial. they are very thorough and took time to answer my questions to my satisfaction. My experience with Key Whitman has been very positive and i would recommend them to my friends and family.

My husband has had very good success with his right eye and Crystal Lens. We are having his left eye done today and expect the same great results. The office is busy but professional and well run.

I actually had my surgery many moons ago, but in order to qualify for free lifetime adjustments you must get your exam annually in Dallas. They don’t work with you one ounce on this. So, if you move away from Dallas that guarantee won’t help. I tired of trying to work with them. However, my husband goes for his exam. There billing department doesn’t accept all insurance like VSP (a major carrier) and they are not helpful at all. I think they must have a «NO» script b/​c they don’t seem very customer oriented. I use to recommend this place b/​c the doctors were great. I wish the staff and policy matched.
