Loved the first 2 times but quickly lost its charm. Good for occasionally after dinner drinks.

Great cocktail bar. Very intimate with their fireplace set up. This is a good spot tucked away from the always busy uptown and downtown. Would definitely comeback to sit back, relax and have a drink on one fine day.

Terrible. Told us that«people usually don’t drink wine here.» As if that was a good thing. Nope, dont think so. Sorry we won’t be returning. Especially since the staff couldn’t be bothered to smile… terrible excuse for a great Dallas bar. Especially in this area. Wine?! What??? So basic. Price was for something good. Not this.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting Dallas. Decided to check it out since it seemed like a neighborhood location. The drinks were great and so was the quality of service. The speed of service was lacking though. Food on the other hand was just ok. I had the chicken Caesar salad. It was dry and the chicken was over cooked. Everyone else seemed to love their sandwiches and crab cakes. Maybe I just need to try something new next time we’re in town. Overall great experience. If you’re looking for somewhere with great ambiance, this is it!

Fruit salad style old-fashioned, if you’re into that you will like them. The lobster tempura was over cooked and tasted like uncleaned shrimp. We had the quesadilla, it was made with low quality ingredients. I’ve had better from the microwave. The BLTs had only slightly detectable amounts of bacon, but lots of lettuce. They comp’d the BLTs because he asked me how they were and I just couldn’t lie anymore. Our server did a great job and the décor was nice but the product was seriously lacking. I have a stomach ache as I write this.

I love this place so much I want to share it with the world but at the same time I want to keep this place my secret. I don’t mind bringing you here but i think i’m going to have to blindfold you. Its a quite place to enjoy a drink and a place whee the bartender makes you feel like they’re your friend. You truly feel like your at home; it’s cozy and they make good strong drinks. It’s a small place that is not for those looking for a rambunctious time, ya’ll keep that on the Uptown bars 2 blocks over.

Great spot for a drink or a cool group event. Right in the heart of uptown. Can’t get any more authentic. Thanks for the hospitality Michelle

Small quaint bar with a fireplace. Chill place for those who want a quiet sip and chat. It’s like hanging out in someone’s living room. :)

Empty. very warm inside, which was nice since it was chili. Not very large, and not overly attentive. If you’re looking for a nice place with a old school feel and to be left alone, then this is your place.

This is a super cozy bar that looks, feels and smells like your great-grandmother’s living room. I would have given it 5 stars, but for the smell(mothballs?) and small beer selection had to go with 4. All part of the charm I guess. Has a large patio out front, and a comfy sofa in front of the fireplace for winter days/nights. And plenty of parking in an underground garage. Fun place to visit for a little escape from the pretentiousness of The Crescent.

I did a search on Unilocal using the word«cozy» and this place came up. I must say it lived up to my every expectation. What a lovely bar to have a quiet evening in. My date had a delicious old fashioned and a vodka martini, I had a few glasses of Pinot Noir. After being there for a few hours I got peckish and even though the kitchen was closed, the bartender(who was amazing) used his cell to get the pub across the street to bring me some lamb chops. They were fantastic.

The Kennedy Room is a relatively new neighborhood bar that I hope stays around. The menu has typical bar food, not a huge selection and they carry a few house wines, mostly serve mixed drinks and beer from what I could tell. They had Sunday brunch specials posted, $ 2 bloody Mary’s but thinking it may be a rotating menu. Prices were reasonable and staff was very friendly. We arrived shortly after midnight and it was pretty empty which was surprising given their location. Pleasant surprise is they are pet friendly. One of the residents that lives above the bar brought their two beautiful standard Scottish terriers down for a visit. I guess I’ve lived under a rock bc I had no idea they came that big. Beautiful and sweet as can be :) They also have a wonderful, spacious patio that would be great for groups or even a date night on a nice breezy eve. The music isn’t too loud so you can carry on a conversation and it’s walking distance from Truluck’s and a few other spots. Definitely check it out if in the neighborhood, think you’ll enjoy it!

Pure, class. Really great, but please don’t go there! Every time I’ve gone there have only been about 10 – 15 people and it’s perfect. Great martinis and Old Fashioneds. Solid date night spot. The décor is awesome. Lots of great memorabilia, paintings, etc. Real cozy.

Don’t tell anyone about this place. It was so nice to be able to go into a bar in uptown and with this type of atmosphere. It’s not a party place, but geared more towards having a drink and a conversation. Especially after a nice dinner somewhere else. Robert the bartendar fixed my husband an old fashioned and my friend and I had straight cocktails. You know, alcohol and a mixer. Robert was very personable and knowledgeable. This place has a great atmosphere and we had no problem parking, which of course, can be a problem in uptown. I hope I got the bartendar’s name right. He was excellent. Hard to stay away from those potato chips too!

One of Dallas’s best kept secrets… The Kennedy Room is a quaint and charming little bar that just seems to seep of history. Bar tenders are helpful, personable and knowledgeable about their craft. Great selection of liquors here; my poison is scotch and I was pleased. Drink orders even come with a complimentary bowl of chips. One of the few places in Dallas where you can unwind and peacefully enjoy an adult beverage.

I have been to Kennedy Room multiple times and love it! It has a relaxed atmosphere that makes a beverage taste even better than usual. The fireplace is amazing on a chilly day with cozy couches and great soothing music. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Charismatic. Toasty. Quaint. That describes the Kennedy Room. Although it’s not large enough to be worthy of a presidential press conference, it screams ‘Murica with its JFK themed splendor. Facility: As others have noted, the space is small so try not to bump into your fellow bar-mate’s Jackie-O or John’s John bevvie. Yes, they even coined JFK era evoking names for their signature cocktails. Speaking of coins — the bar top is covered in copper Lincoln heads(read: pennies) which helps their presidential theme. Near the fire-place was a wing-back chair with JFK biographical reading material. Nice touch! Photo-op not passed up! ;-) Offerings: The bartenders were patient as we all kept them busy with all the drink orders — signature and non-signature. One bartender allowed me to snap a photo of him at work — thanks! In addition to their signature cocktails, they offer a vast selection of liquor, some beer, and some wine. At the bar they had some legit potato chips in small bowls for snacking. Also, they have food earlier in the day but I can’t speak to it. Parking: I got lucky and found what might have been the last parking spot available in their parking lot(I got there around 9pm). I’m not sure where to park if there is nothing available there since most of uptown is valet. Beware of areas in the parking garage you are not allowed to park in. I’ve only been once but absolutely loved the Kennedy Room and will return!

I am impressed all around by the Kennedy Room when I had my party there. I knew I’d be coming with around 50 people into a 400-something sqft space… smaller than my apartment! But I needn’t have worried at all because everyone fit in this cozy space and may have made a couple more new friends because of the space constrictions! Before my party, I was in constant contact with the bartender and manager to answer my questions and to work out discounted drink specials for my large group. They were more than accommodating. The bartender has no problems handling that many people all at once and the Kennedy room did a great job backing him up with a barhand knowing that such a large party was coming in. Drinks were delightfully mixed, fresh variations of old favorites, and shots were aplenty. The next time you are considering an intimate space for a party that is not even the least bit bro-y for this part of town, consider the Kennedy room.

They have a parking garage, which is a huge plus for the area, but it’s super tiny and probably almost impossible to get a spot there if you arrive late in the evening. The venue itself is the 1st floor corner of what appears to be a residential building with fancy pants tenants. They have a nice large patio out front, which is necessary since the interior space is so limited. There were maybe 4 – 5 tables that could each seat 4 – 6, a short bar, and a couch with a few chairs. The bathrooms are multi-tenant, but the proprietors didn’t keep tabs on the TP supply very well(and the door locks are tricky — most of the folks I was there with thought they were locked in for at least a few seconds). The biggest plus(beyond parking and the outdoor patio/chair situation) is the service. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The drinks were also strong and served in actual matching glassware. I have no idea how much the drinks cost, but I can’t imagine they were cheap. If I lived nearby I’d probably hang out in here occasionally so check it out if you live in the area or enjoy gambling on whether you’ll get parking in the tiny garage.

What a neat place. I hope it doesn’t get too well-known, but of course I hope it does well! It’s also a great place to go in Uptown that isn’t even remotely douchey. I wish I could remember the bartender’s name, but he was perfect. Makes a mean drink and incredibly friendly. The place has a ton of charm and killer atmosphere. It looks great for a chilly evening(warm fireplace!) and there’s also a decent sized patio that looks great for sun and drinks. Will definitely be back!
