Kate Weiser Chocolate

I’ve had the fortunate opportunity of enjoying the innovative treats at Kate Weiser Chocolate not on one, but on two different occasions. I say I’m fortunate, because the total experience of the chocolate shop is as close to a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory experience I will hope to have in life. No there are not any orange little people dancing and singing in synchronized harmony, there’s no chocolate waterfall, and unfortunately the sweets are not everlasting. However, Kate Weiser, the chocolatier from which her shop gets its namesake, does manage to capture the spirit and fun of the movie. If you are lucky enough to arrive at the right time, you can see Kate and her team making the varied array of candies and chocolates. The chocolate bars contain an intriguing combination of spicy, sweet, and savory ingredients that are appeasing to the eye, and more importantly, to the taste buds. The next time you fail to control your sweet-​tooth, do yourself a favor and check out this chocolate shop.

I consider myself a chocolate connoisseur of sorts. Throughout my travels around the world I always have to taste the local chocolate. Kate Weiser makes the best overall chocolate products I have ever tasted! Her chocolates are gorgeous — all hand painted. Each chocolate is unique and looks like a piece of art. These chocolates make a great gift — I brought some for my boyfriend’s mom the first time I went home with him for Thanksgiving and she absolutely loved them. She even commented that they were so beautiful she didn’t want to eat them, because she wanted to save them for Christmas. I assured her I would get her more :)
Not only is the product outstanding, but the customer service is always on par. You can tell Kate is very passionate about what she does, and that makes you feel good about supporting her business.
The design of the store and the marketing collateral is so smart — clean, modern, bright, and playful without being kitschy. This is a candy store for grownups.
The key lime pie, truffle honey and peanut brittle are my favorites!

Kate Weiser chocolate looks like pieces of edible art. They are priced at $ 2.50 a piece and you can choose from the assortment to create a gift box. The habanero mango was my favorite for today.

The smell of this place is the first thing that takes over, it’s like opening a box of candies on Valentine’s day. When you start observing the area, there is a small wall of pre packaged truffles, caramels, and lots of other sweets. On the tables are papers with every truffle and you mark which ones you want. I got one of every truffle, caramels, and five chocolate figs.
This place deserves ten thousand stars!

ALMOST too beautiful to eat! Delectably rich and unique flavors wearing their Sunday best. Truly memorable and unlike anything I have ever had.

Ridiculously yummy, these chocolates LITERALLY taste as good as they look. They have really unique flavor combinations like lavender apricot, sweet potato, and strawberry basil (which are identifiable but not overpowering so I def recommend trying a new flavor). They also make your standard ganache, peanut butter, and caramel flavors if you want to play it safe. While I enjoyed every bon bon, I have to say my favorites were the raspberry and key lime pie ones. What I love is how smooth and creamy each and every one of them were! Yet NOT overly sweet. You can really taste the quality. And each one looks like a beautiful piece of art.
So forget Godiva — next time you want to gift or surprise someone with something sweet OR just treat yo self, support a local business and buy a box of chocolates from here! Whether or not you’re a chocoholic you will loooove these.

Very good Bön Bons and pretty. Tried the raspberry and key lime. Preferred the raspberry. I liked this place but prefer truffles over Bön Bons. They do carry some truffles and will try next time. She did let me sample the mango habanero which was really good. It is pricey like most candy shops are $ 2.50 a piece.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The chocolate bon bons are so pretty and they taste as good as they look. My favorites are the passion fruit, raspberry, key lime pie, and lavender apricot. The chocolate here is pretty pricey but it is worth it. A box of these chocolates are the perfect anniversary, Valentine’s day, or birthday gift. My fiancé isn’t a big sweets person but he absolutely loved the chocolate here. The flavor descriptions of the bon bons are spot on. Key lime pie tastes like key lime pie and the lavender apricot tastes like lavendar and apricots.
You have the option of building your own box or buying pre packaged boxes. They also have special chocolate creations for each season.
Love this place and highly recommend it to all chocolate and non-​chocolate lovers.

Are you kidding me? I’m not even that big of a chocolate person but this place smells incredible. The staff is warm and welcoming. The chocolates are insanely good. The presentation is perfect. I can’t wait to go back. The grapefruit cashew was my surprise favorite!

My favorite chocolate in Dallas. Having tried most of their chocolates I have to say this place thrives in excellence. I love being able to see them making their confections, too. If you’re lucky to be around when they have their macaron ice cream sandwich, please try it. It’s a life changer.

uggggh i hate giving KW less than five stars but i picked up six chocolates last night to bring home, two of which were pistachio. the flavor of the pistachio is good but there were semi-​large pieces of pistachio shell in both chocolates! and, btw, when you chomp down on a piece of pistachio shell, it doesn’t break, it just HURTS. what a bummer!!!
KW, i still love you, i’m just going to NEVER ORDER THE PISTACHIO CHOCOLATES EVER AGAIN.

i superrrrrr love it! specially their chocolate bar! its not too sweet its suuuuper good. i can’t find an exact word to describe how delicious it is just try it! YUUUUUUM!

Yes Please! It’s pricey and so what! Who cares, live a little and spoil yourself! This place smells so good when you walk in! Its like a little taste of heaven in each bite you take of their amazing desserts! I tried several items, most I liked! Their desserts are rich and very filling. Sometimes its more about quality, and here the quality of their desserts wont disappoint.

Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! That’s the only thing you can think of walking into this place. It’s like a small work of art that you can indulge. Every single piece of chocolate is made to perfection. Their chocolate flavored are very unique as well. You can choose from a chocolate cognac to a ninja turtle. Whichever your sweet tooth is craving for. My favor was the buttered popcorn, one bit into it the chocolate just melts into your mouth bursting with the flavor. Even though I drop by wanting to try the peanut butter & jelly sticks… They were sold out. You could choose to customize your own little or big box of chocolate.
They also have ice cream and Macarons… I have to drop by next time to try those!

This place has dessert so pretty, you debate if you should actually eat it! I came here about 2 months ago when I was in the area and got a 6 piece box. I took them home to share with the hubby and was immediately hooked!!! I almost ordered them online, but since Dallas is so hot right now, the shipping overnight with dry ice was too much. So… I had to wait until I was in the area again!
I went in last night and ended up walking out with a 35 piece box and a candy bar. Put me back like $ 80… BUT SO WORTH IT!!!
These chocolates have crazy flavors like mango habanero, truffle honey, ninja turtle, hazelnut latte, fresh mint, peanut brittle, banana dulcet, sweet potato, and lavender apricot! I have not had a single one I don’t love. Although, I don’t care for the liquid center ones as much as the regular truffles.
I will be back here EVERY single time I am in the area! Macs are pretty good but I still need to try the ice cream!

Hands down best chocolate bon bons I ever had! Walked into to the shop, first thing I saw were macarons, then saw the individual piece chocolates, I had no idea where to start.
Saw a little menu on the table listed with pictures of each chocolate bon bon you can order. I did the 15 piece for $ 35 (quite expensive). I picked random ones that I would like.
Becareful with some of liquor ones (champagne) you have to eat all at once or it would be a liquid mess.
After eating a couple I realize this is very good quality chocolate! The key lime pie actually taste like a key lime pie, which amazed me!
I am in love with the banana one! I’m not a fan of banana flavor foods but this one I loved!
The grand mariner which is one you have to eat at once… Once you bite it, it just all flows out, very tasty since it is orange liquor.
About all the flavors I got I’ve liked, so I feel like Kate Weiser chocolates will not disappoint you. Next time I return I’ll know what flavors to order multiples of! These would make great gifts!

My first time and has some yummy treats. But was a little disappointed at the selection. There is a good variety but not a full chocolatier shop. There was no ninja turtle or peanut brittle that I was looking for. Payed $ 15 + tax for 6 so it was $ 2.50 each. And I must say they are good. But you could get. A lot more chocolate at different place that are just as good. Around dallas and grapevine.
But with that said if I got these as a gift I would be very happy. Everything is gorgeous and the attention to packaging is nicely done. Staff need to be a little more friendly and help explain the process to place an order. There are forms and pencils to fill out before you get to the register. But nothing said about that. Had to take stars off for this. Nice shop but unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Especially if it is busy…

Kate Weiser in Trinity Groves is so good! It is a trendy looking sweets shop with a trendy clientele. A friend recommended we try it… so we did. No regrets. Each of their little treats is so well flavored. How do they manage to pack so much flavor into those little things? They are beautifully decorated too. We really wanted see them making some. At the last second, we decided to get a macaron to-​go too. Again, no regrets.
Depending on time of day and day of the way, you shouldn’t have issues with parking around Trinity Groves area.

I popped the whole expensive piece in my mouth… Jessica gasped, «MYIA! You’re supposed to savor that!» I smacked my lips. I am so refined.

All other chocolates are dead to me. Done. Ok, in the interest of full disclosure, I’m seven months preggers with a bit of a sweet tooth, but I have always had a thing for fine chocolates. I’ve even been lucky enough to have gone to Belgium (everything anyone has ever said about the beer and chocolate there is truer than words can say). With all this in mind, I say that these babies are just epic.
First off: obviously, they are wicked pretty. Duh. So often, however, very pretty chocolates are just mediocre in taste. Or are just disappointing. But wow. Not these. Each one really has been damn special. The lavender apricot may be my favorite (very unique) and the banana dulcey, too. The flavors are inventive and intensely satisfying.
Just as obviously, these are not cheap! 15 count assorted box (which you can pick yourself or run in and get a pre-​packaged one) is $ 35. So at a little over $ 2 each, yeah, kind steep, but I think that’s fair for hand painted deliciousness. Godiva truffles are about $ 1.50 each, as are most fine chocolates/​truffles. And those are perfectly tasty and respectable. But these are BETTER. So there.
These are what you get for the ultimate in chocolates for a special occasion or for someone in your life who appreciates damn fine chocolates. (And more often than not, *no reason* is the best reason.) I’m going back to knock out xmas gifts for at least 2 people. I’m a fan of Chocolate Secrets in Dallas too, but if I had to choose my favorite, it’s a no-​brainer. This place, this place, this place.
