I LOVE the jalapeño kolaches here. I don’t even like spicy food, but the kolaches here are great. Their donuts are also freshly made everyday, and are super soft and amazing. It is a small, no-frills place. If you are expecting a fancy place, don’t come here. It sells donuts, kolaches, and coffee. Super yummy and they are always super quick to serve you!

Super unsuspecting, J’s Donuts offers just darn good traditional donuts. Located on the corner of Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue, J’s Donuts has some of the freshest tasting donuts in town. Their donuts, muffins and kolaches are no muss, no fuss and offer the traditional flavors we all grew up loving. The best part? They’re open until noon and generally have some left until then!

Super soft & tasty donuts, delicious sausage kolaches(try the jalepeno ones!), and friendly people! What’s not to like?

I’ve been bringing my kids to J’s for the past few years. The staff is super friendly and the donuts are delicious. I actually moved to Frisco recently and often drive down with my son to eat here.

Try this place and you will be pleasantly surprised! From the outside its easy to overlook but don’t miss out on some great donuts! Sunday donuts have been a tradition for our family and over the years we’ve tried all of the local shops and this is our favorite The donuts have more flavor than Krispy Kreme(across the street) and keep better than I would have guessed. Their prices are great too if you have a larger office or group order Try the cinnamon twist. It just melts when you bite into it Also the ladies are super friendly.

It must be tough being a small donut shop with Krispy Kreme right across the street. I was deferred from visiting Krispy Kreme. I remembered how overly sweet their donuts were so I tried the little guy instead. But now I can understand how J’s donut shop can stand on its own. They only make good old fashioned donuts here. I’ll always judge a new donut shop based on their glazed donuts. If you mess this up, you lose credibility to me. But J’s Donuts’ glazed donut is the best I’ve ever had. It’s everything you’ll ever want: airy, soft, and the icing is glazed evenly and creamy still, not hard and flaky like other places. It literally just melts in your mouth. The strawberry glazed was tasty, not overly sweet with just a hint of strawberry. The lady who helped me was really nice. Definitely check them out if you’re in this area.

Maybe I went to a wildly different donut place then everyone else… It was small, and it did«smell like donuts» but they werent anything better than you get at the grocery store. It was a weird set up to, attached to the nail shop or whatever it is they have next door. It was average at best.

Smells heavenly and tastes devine! The bread is so light and airy that the donuts practically melt in your mouth! I like that the sausage rolls come in two different sizes… great for little ones. They also have a quite a selection of drinks compared to most donut shops, which is nice.

Best donuts in Dallas. I’ve tried a lot of other places and this is by far my favorite. Their donuts are much lighter and softer than other donut shops. Their sausage rolls are also quite delicious.

I’m impressed, and donut shops rarely impress me. I reserve a 5-star rating of donuts exclusively for Max’s in Allen but J’s is my very close runner-up. They are always fully stocked with more choices of donuts than I thought possible. Even at 10:30am, the case is full of fresh goodies. Donuts are warm, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Their hours also rock(Sundays?!) and they take credit cards as long as you meet a minimum($ 5 if I remember correctly). Friendly staff and tasty donuts makes this my go-to donut place in Dallas.

Small, medicore sausage rolls that taste more like someone wrapped a hot dog in a croissant than anything. I’ll admit I’m a kolache snob, as most of my experience with them is from Czech Stop down in West, but I’d rather make that drive than buy ones I don’t want.

First, they are open on Sundays. A very rare event for a bakery. Their donuts and kolaches are amazing. I have brought them to work and have had co-workers say they don’t like donuts but love theses… me two!
