When it comes to hair, Josh knows what he is doing and I trust him. I’m one of those people that can be particular when it comes to hair. Let me just say that Josh knows what he is doing when it comes to cut or color. I just got a blow out once and got so many compliments. Josh even fixed a bad hair cut I had into a fabulous hair cut! I have also seen the great work he has done with color and I plan to go to him soon for highlights. If you are brunette, blonde, etc. I’ve seen Josh do wonders on hair cuts and color! Joshua Jones is legit! He spent hours cutting my very very long thick hair, taking careful attention to every detail and snip of his scissors! It was like watching an artist at work! I’ve never enjoyed a visit to a salon as much as I did today! Next step is color and after today, I have total faith and confidence in Joshua’s ability to make magic happen with my dark hair! This angel saved my hair. After tiring of my 27 year old virgin blonde hair I decided to bleach my hair a platinum icy white which looked absolutely horrid. I then went to my mom’s stylist who put in some HORRENDOUS lowlights which were actually black stripes and the rest of my hair turned dark gray. Out of desperation I went to another salon and colored my whole head level 5 brown which was lovely but difficult to maintain on my natural blonde. I decided to go back blonde which actually turned out a mangy, putrid shade of neon orange.
I finally decided to stop the madness and find someone who could color my hair properly before I totally destroyed it which is when I discovered Joshua. It took two steps to gently get my hair back to the shade I wanted. He used olaplex both times which turned out to be a lifesaver because my hair feels incredibly strong and healthy despite the damage I did to it previously. Joshua is both a phenomenal colorist and a genuinely sweet human being and I would recommend him to ya’ll who may have had bad experiences elsewhere, you can trust him completely!

Josh does an amazing job with hair. I’ve gotten so many compliments since I’ve started going to him. He knows exactly what tone works best for my skin color and spends quality time on consults and actively solicits feedback with each subsequent visit. He doesn’t ever rush and is very communicative. Highly recommend to anyone, especially those looking to go blonde or enhance their already blonde hair. Perfect cuts and blowouts too.

Recently moved from San Diego, I was desperate to find someone in Dallas that could give my hair some love. Hands down Joshua is the best hair stylist in Dallas. I am very particular about my hair (who isn’t) so before reaching out to schedule an appointment with Joshua, I did LOTS and LOTS of research. Joshua’s name came up with so many positive reviews that I knew he would be the perfect person to color my hair. Joshua is a great listener, he“s extremely personable and his attention to detail just won me over. Not only did I walk out of his salon loving my hair more than ever before? I left smiling from ear to ear just thinking about how much fun i had while sitting in his chair. Joshua really cares about making you happy and will stop at nothing to achieve the look you desire. Josh is amazingly talented! Actually, amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. He is the only person I trust to touch my hair. If he ever quits the business, I’ll just have to shave my head. I have had horrible cuts and colors all over Dallas. Most people do not care how your hair turns out, or if you like it, as long as somebody else is walking in their door. Josh really cares. He wants every person to walk away happy. He goes above and beyond to make sure you leave with a huge smile on your face. In the past, I have hated going to the salon to get my hair done. Antisocial hairdressers that pretend to be interested in small talk drive me nuts. Josh is so laid back, personable, and funny. I have a good time when I get my hair done by him. He really knows hair and what he is doing with it. I have never left unhappy. I love that when I tell him what I want, he tells me what else he can do to compliment what I want done even more. I would never waste my time, or money going anywhere else.

Just moved from SoCal and have been searching desperately for a colorist and stylist. Found Josh on Unilocal and called him for an appointment. From the start of our conversation I felt comfortable and at ease as if speaking with a friend. Josh set a time for our appointment on his day off to give my sister and I his full attention. Was 6 weeks out from my last hair apt in Cali and the grey hair was haunting me. Josh colored my hair perfectly making it look so natural and using my grey hair as highlights-​amazing. I went from a brunette to a honey colored blonde with a youthful vibe. How? He pays close attention to every foil and the effect different shades at different areas makes. He was aware of my skin tone and the colors that would compliment me. He even took into consideration my brown eye shade, not just color. He was completely thorough. It’s his passion for what he does that makes his coloring a craft full art, not just a way to a paycheck. All the while having great conversations as if visiting a friend. He did a fantastic job with my hair and still has a vision of where to go with it, as if my hair belongs to him and I… love it. I cannot speak highly enough of, Joshua! I just moved here a couple months ago from San Diego and its a scary thing for a woman to find a new hairstylist who she trusts! I needed a change from my normal medium/​long length hair! Someone suggested doing a pixieish style, but I was so nervous and didn’t have a stylist I trusted yet to do such a dramatic cut and change for me– and then I found, Joshua! I am so beyond thankful I met Joshua. I will never again let anyone in Dallas ever touch my hair! Not only is he AMAZING at hair, but an even more amazing person and Im so blessed to now call him a friend! Every day I have gotten compliments on my hair and cut! Hes just amazing!

I moved to Dallas from CA a year ago and I was so nervous to find someone new to cut my hair! Luckily I met Josh and I’ve never looked back. He always gives me a great cut (I have A LOT of hair to manage) and sexy style. Plus who doesn’t love a glass of wine in the salon while getting shampooed and pampered?!

Before I begin, I should mention this is all my own words, he has no idea I am writing this or asked me to write this. This is my own honest opinion.
Joshua has given me the BEST haircut and color I have ever had in my life. I have extremely course thick jet black hair that is about 4 times the normal thickness and is very heavy. I came to Joshua with brassy dark blonde hair that had color banding in it, and very damaged ends from a previous botched blonding attempt. I showed him pictures of what I wanted to go for, an ice blonde «frozen» look. He seemed very confident we could do it, but it would take some time and be prepared to stay a while.
9 hours, YES 9 hours later and Joshua has nailed the color and the cut.
He took his time and never rushed. I was originally scheduled for an earlier afternoon appointment but he personally called me and we decided that it would be better if I am his last client for the day, so he can focus on my hair and really make it perfect for me. I’ve never even heard of such dedication before I met him.
He was able to safely bleach my hair to the palest blonde possible while preserving the integrity of my hair (which is a miracle in itself). He constantly monitored the bleach itself and was so skilled and confident, which was very reassuring to me, knowing how a bad bleach job can ruin your scalp and hair. Afterwards we mixed a combination of toners to achieve the perfect ice blonde look.
Joshua really knows his stuff. In every step he careful mixes and applies the bleach and the toner. He doesn’t just slap it on and walk off. He was constantly working the products through my hair and adjusting as necessary. His color correction skills are pure magic! He has little tricks of the trade from his vast and impressive list of places and people he has worked with. Being styled and colored by him feels like an honor, like I was a celebrity while I was in his chair.
Any stylist would normally be completely wiped out after 7 hours of coloring and toning, but not Joshua. Many other stylists would send me home and tell me to come back tomorrow for my cut and style, but not him.
He patiently and expertly coerced my stubborn thick hair into beautiful soft locks. My hair is so thick it took almost 2 hours of blowdrying, but he was never impatient or frustrated. Once it was dry he was meticulous about giving me the perfect cut for my hair type and color. He cut endless beautiful layers into my hair to maintain the length yet remove any previous bleach damage from my prior colorings before him. He did scissor magic to soften the look and remove any harsh edges. He was constantly checking and making sure each and every strand and end was perfect and even. So, not only is he a color magician but he is also can cut hair better than anyone I’ve ever seen.
Seriously, he is the best stylist I have ever had. And I have been to many salons and «expert colorists.» I think the best part is how humble and sweet he is. He was a riot to talk to, and I even through all the chemicals and bleach and heat I was experiencing, I had a great time. It is like talking to an old friend you have known for years. His work is flawless and beautiful and I am definitely a client for life.
If you want to go blonde, I would call him. He will save your hair from all the bleach and make it stronger than before you did anything to it. My hair is stronger than it was before I came in.
My hair looks and feels like a million dollars. His prices are very incredibly reasonable as well, and the quality of work is celebrity grade. I feel like I have stumbled upon the best kept secret of Dallas!
He really cares about the quality of his work and his passion for it shines through. If you want that perfect Dallas blonde look, call him!

I cannot compliment this man enough, he does amazing work on all people not just blondes. Joshua is the best colorist I have found in Dallas. And I have been to 6 salons in Dallas and none of them compare! He will take his time and listen to your needs. Allow him to use his own creative edge and you will get a cut and color beyond your expectations. He is my favorite!!!

I’m new to Dallas. I moved from Los Angeles. So, I have high expectations for colorists! After trying out three different salons, I was relieved to find Joshua. Joshua absolutely nailed the ashy, natural blonde look I was going for while still maintaining an edgy dark root look. This was especially impressive, because my hair was nearly orange from other bad color!

I am extremely picky when it comes to my blonde highlights. Not just the color, but the technique in which it is done. I have lived in Dallas for over two years, and it has been so hard to find someone that I really like doing my hair. I have tried so many different salons. Salon Pompeo (and many different hair dressers within the salon) blondes and blowouts, etc. None of which could do what Joshua can do. I followed him from B and B and I am soooo happy that I did. He cares so much about his love for hair, and it shows. He takes his time to DO IT RIGHT. There is no comparison. He really deserves so much because he gives 100% of his talent to his clients and I couldn’t be happier!
