The fish was piping hot but no seasoning. To me, it was not worth returning to. Louisiana Catfish is a whole lot better even though it’s a little further away.

Hey I love my seafood, and I had to have some catfish when I was on that side of town. Order: Whole catfish with fries, white bread, and hushpuppies. Let’s be honest, it’s not upscale. But very clean! In the dining area and in the back as well.(I was peepin’ the scene while he took my order.) It’s very fresh because there is a fish market next door. Everything is made to order so its super hot. The fish was good, but it desperately needs some Zatarain’s, seasoning salt and pepper. Just some type of flavor. The fries had more flavor than my fish :-(. But those hushpuppies had a hit of that jalapeño heat and I love it. If they season the fish better, and possibly fry the whole catfish a wee bit longer, I would give it four stars.

I’m not a fried catfish connoisseur but when something is good… it’s GOOD! Hole in the wall fried catfish place, situated next to a fish market, bustling with neighborhood locals on a Friday night. Just your simple walk up to the window to order then they’ll box your order to go but still they have few tables & chairs for you to dine in cause it’s best enjoyed asap! Only downside is it’s not in the best area of town but I think it adds to the authenticity & locality of the place. Like i said it was pretty busy when I went so there was a wait for my order hence I did walk out of there smelling of the aroma O’de Fried Catfish!
