Intuit QuickBooks Training

I took the class online. Shauna was our trainer. She did a great job. I think the live in class may have been a little better pace. There was so much material to cover in two 8 hour training. But if you only have time for online. I found it to be very informative. I am planing on purchasing two more classes. Class at my own pace.

For the price you pay, attendees should be getting a lot more out of this class. 2 days of glitches, even the presenters seemed frustrated. The presenter on the 2^nd day had to jump back and for between databases, trying to find one that worked, which made it very distracting to learn what I’ve paid $ 550 for. It seemed as if the presenters were all over the place, going from one subject, jumping to another, then back tracking, as if they were not prepared for class. On top of all of that, I couldn’t ask any questions. If you’re paying this much, presenters should be answering any questions you have. I had high hopes for this class from reading other reviews, but I was disappointed. I guess it depends on the day, or what presenter you get.

Just completed the Level 1 Mastering Quickbooks 2 day classes. The instructor, Penny, was very knowledgeable and upbeat. However, in all my years of taking computer classes, I have NEVER had a computer class that did not have computers available for hands on instruction. I willingly paid a good amount of money to take the class with a live teacher as I believed there would be more interaction between the students and the teacher. How ridiculous to have a computer class with no computers! I am aware there are local adult education schools around that offer Quickbooks instruction and have computers available. Should have gone that route.

Our instructor, Regina is considerate of all her students needs. She has a great amount of knowledge, is a clear speaker and has a passion for teaching her students. I feel allot more comfortable in using quick books knowing better how to navigate the system.

Our Instructor Chuck Dunn was amazing. I started the class with no knowledge of Accounting add to that I had little understanding of QuickBooks and thought I would be bored and falling asleep during class. Chuck made the class interesting and fun. I was amazed at the knowledge that I was able to acquire in only 2 days. It used to be I dreaded doing the accounting, after this training session, I am so looking forward to using my knowledge in our business. Thank You Chuck for A Great Class

The class by Chuck Dunn is worth every penny. He keeps participants engaged and makes sure you leave feeling confident about what you learned. He will answer questions about specific issues you are having and will take time during brakes, lunch and after class to go over anything you want.
He teaches a lot of shortcuts that will make your job easier and more efficient. He makes the class fun and time goes fast.

Payroll class was very well presented by Shauna Wortinger — she kept the pace of the class steady and gave plenty of time for question/​answer sessions. Shauna was able to keep the class focused even when some of the attendees were very off topic.

The class was very informative, I’ve been using Quickbooks for 15 years, this class helped me understand new concepts. The instructor Diana was very patient and entertaining she did a great job explaining the subject thoroughly and answered all of our questions.

I love the class, the instructor (Shauna Wortinger) was very clear and dedicated a lot of time helping us with questions even on break time.

This 2-​day class was excellent! As a complete novice (have never used, logged in, or even looked at QuickBooks!) this course gave me the foundational tools to know my way around the program, find what I need, and perform the necessary functions. The course material was easy to follow and the take-​home booklets will be a huge resource. The instructor, Regina, was wonderful! Not only was she a highly competent teacher, but she also made the class a fun and relaxed environment for everyone. If you are considering this class, I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Unemployed, I decided to spend one week’s worth of my benefits on a QuickBooks course. I was dreading it — two days of a webinar. I fell asleep during a Small Business Administration’s one-​hour webinar, so I couldn’t imagine how this would go. But it was far more interactive than I could have imagined.
I don’t have the software (although I use Quicken and have a long-​standing date with Intuit’s tax prep program each February). I was alarmed that the certification test (which is given by Intuit, not by Real World Training (RWT), who are Intiut’s approved vendor for training on QB) was multiple choice on a computer. It’s really hard to remember which menu pulls down from where — in real life, you just sort of stumble around until you find it — but that’s not the fault of RWT.
Anyhow, the presenter was in Florida and very bubbly, interesting, interestED (not the same thing) and very knowledgable. I don’t know how many of us there were, but after every lesson or chapter, she opened up the floor for questions, which you could either type in or raise your «hand» (more on that below!) and she would unmute the mic so you could ask in person. I tended to type because I do so at an alarming speed.
A complete beginner on everything might have been a little freaked out, and I am sure the accountants were bored through some of it — but I have a TINY bit of bookkeeping knowledge (I reconcile my bank and credit card statements and kept petty cash at a number of places) so it worked for me. Other peoples’ real life QB questions caused me to break out in a sweat, but that’s OK.
Great course, great teacher, and a worthy investment. If I get a job! I hope I do so before I forget how to use it!
They also give you CLE credits and the voucher for the Intuit certification, along with study materials.
The famous «hand up!» This was hilarious, but I got used to it. If the «hand» symbols is UP and GREEN, you are NOT communicating to the instructor. Wait for it — it’s it’s pointing DOWN and it’s RED — then you are! (giggle).

The Level 1 class was enjoyable and educational. Regina Smith played extra information before class and during lunch if you cared to listen to them. She also stayed after class to answer questions and explain anything that was unclear. She stayed for 2 extra hours the first day. I really appreciated that extra support. She was also very friendly, telling personal experiences and silly jokes. It made the long days more enjoyable. The information was very helpful, and I definitely feel more prepared to move forward in my accounting/​bookkeeping career.
I’ve purchased the online access to all the rest of the classes, and I think they will be an invaluable resource for my future education.

I purchased the on demand training for my daughter. To start with there is no hands on. And the instruction I purchased included Word and Excel, imagine my surprise when she told me the instruction was for the 2007 version of Word and Excel. I spent 700.00 and she could have gotten more from u-​tube

I’m a college graduate with a BS in Accounting.
I had absolutely no experience with the program, so I enrolled in the 2-​day Level 1 course to get certified in QuickBooks and make my resume stronger.
What I didn’t expect was the extensive amount of information about the system that I received in a smooth and easy fashion.
Taking this course not only got me CPE hours and the necessary knowledge to run QuickBooks, but it also gave me the confidence to know that I’m more than qualified for any position I apply for.
Erin Walsh is a marvelous instructor and the Mastering QuickBooks Level 1 live seminar is worth every penny.
Now, I get more call backs and interviews. When I go in and speak to the interviewers, they ALWAYS remark on how I’m the only person (In their own company and applying for employment) that is certified in QuickBooks.
This seminar really helped me to get a clear view of my career path.
I don’t know why I haven’t signed up sooner…
