Hillcrest Masonic Lodge is a premier Lodge of Freemasons in Dallas Texas who meet in the old Love Field Quarry. Established in 1949, Hillcrest Lodge has been home to many masons in Dallas that are raised on the tenants and principles of Faith, Hope and Charity, and work towards making ourselves better men, so that we might better support our communities. History

Established in 1949.

The formation of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge came out of an idea which can be contributed to a deceased brother, Clarence A. Meyer, Jr. It was in the latter part of 1946 or the early part of 1947 that this brother contacted Brother Fred Mayes and solicited his help in the forming of a Masonic Club on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas (SMU.)

The study club was never formed, but the idea morphed into the formation of a new lodge in Dallas Texas, on Hillcrest across the street from the SMU law library. This lodge was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1949 and over the next 60 years has purchased and sold its property on Hillcrest, bought and sold commercial space in Uptown, and now currently resides in the old Love Field Stone Quarry.

The same tenants that the lodge was founded on are still in practice today. For more information, please check out DallasFreemasonry.org
