I am spoiled when it comes to car places. I’m used to service being polite and thoughtful and very service focused. Herb’s isn’t really like that. Joe, in particular, doesn’t seem to care about that stuff. I arrive at my appointment time and he acts all put out. Real put out that I wasn’t just going to leave my car and come back later. No, I don’t mind waiting(jeeze, how long does an estimate actually take??). And when I saw that it took about 5 minutes to take a few pictures I’m glad I didn’t leave and come back. That would have been ridiculous. First there was a big discussion about if the appointment was arranged through«Chub» insurance. Is that some sort of a joke? Is there such a thing? Then we went out to look at my car. My #1 favorite part of the appointment: he went out the door first and didn’t hold it open for me. He actually let it swing closed on me. Really? We went back inside(after the 5 minutes of picture taking) and he mumbled about emailing estimates and that I could go. A’ight, mister personality. Deuces. Uugh. I have a choice where I take my car to be fixed, and I’m sure as shit not taking it there ever again. If he had treated me with respect, been polite and nice, heck, I might have used this body shop for the 3k or so worth of damage to my car. But I left feeling like I was a bothersome hump in his day who took him from vital internet surfing or texting or something and I left with a horrible taste in my mouth.

HORRIBLE!!! They were recommended by the insurance company. What a mistake. They have had the car for over THREEWEEKS and it is still not ready. They said it was ready but it sounded like it was going to fall apart so we refused it. That was today, after having it for THREEWEEKS. Will never take anything there again and am letting my insurance company know that they should never recommend them. I wish I could just get the car back and go somewhere else. I don’t think they know what they are doing!

I only had to have my front bumper replaced so I only had limited exposure to this shop. Scott in the front office handled everything and was professional and friendly enough. The color match for my bumper was perfect. And it was perfectly installed. No complaints. …but since my interaction with them was so limited I can only give 4 star’s.

Customer service is very nice but body shop sucks. They had two things to replace. One is the bumper. Well, the paint flaked off within a year. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and they replaced it, but it was a hassle. After a couple of years, the new bumper paint is flaking a bit. The second one was a replacement of the wheel bearing. The installer put it in the wrong way and to compensate, bent some metal out of the way so that it didn’t make noise unless the wheel was turned all the way in one direction. I took it back in and they fixed it correctly, but, again, it is a hassle to go back again to get something fixed that they should have done right the first time. Also, it is sleazy to knowingly not do it right from the beginning in hopes that the customer won’t notice within warranty. So, 100% failure to do it right the first time. I would avoid them if I were you. I will never go there again.

Go to Herb’s Paint and Body Shop! They gave me a way better deal on repairing my car than my dealership. The dealership gave me an estimate of $ 1500 to fix my flooded car. I went to Herb’s by recommendation from my insurance. They worked with my insurance company and even though I paid only the deductible, the overall price was around $ 550. My only problem was that they called the wrong number to let me know my car was ready and I didn’t know for days and unnecessarily had to rent a car. When I told them, they reimbursed me for my rental car. They fixed my car at one location and they even towed the car to another one of their locations so it would convenient for me to pick up my car. Herbs is a great place. If I need more work done on my car I will go back here

So you go to an auto/body shop thinking he’s going to give you a better rate than your car dealership right? Well I landed at 7 am for a bumper fix only to get a quote from the guy that was just ridiculous. He charged the worker billing rate as high/equal to that of what dealerships pay their mechanics and he first tried to trick me into buy a brand new part until i asked for a used bumper instead. I then proceed to my own car dealership and find out that it’s actually CHEAPER to go with own car dealership than this guys shop. I was astounded. You’d think that he could’ve given me some sort of break on teh price being a local auto shop. Disapproved of the service and was not helpful at all. Also fairly sexist so if you’re a girl, don’t go alone, he’ll probably over charge you.
