Established in 1998.

Grand Spa is the largest Day Spa in North Texas and has been a respected and award winning part of the community. Grand Spa has won Reader’s Choice for Best Day Spa in Addison for the last 5 years. Grand Spa won Best Massage in Dallas in DMagazine 2012.

Luane McWhorter has owned the Grand Spa since February of 2007. She has been in the Spa industry as an owner since 2004. Mrs. McWhorter had previously worked in the Skincare industry as a Regional Manager and Product Development. She is a hands on owner and loves working with clients and staff to ensure that the Grand Spa is the best in the area.

Good spa environment, but the dressing room can get a bit crowded. The services (massage, facial, pedicure) were good, but I didn’t like all of the up-​selling. $ 10 for aromatherapy? I can buy an entire bottle for less than that! The general pricing is inflated to begin with.
Sinry did my pedicure and she was AWESOME! So sweet and very considerate. And nice work, too.

This place has really gone down. And WOW, huge rip off. The ladies at the counter rush you out. I just returned some make up that was bad quality and they wouldn’t refund it, only exchange, then she just said that I can use the «rest of the balance» when I return for a hair cut. Ummm, no. My last hair cut was awful and extremely overpriced. When I just asked the difference in price for the makeup exchange she said «oh around $ 4»… But I paid $ 54 for that last make up item, and as I am walking out, I noticed this one I was forced to exchange for, is $ 38.50… Basic math tells me otherwise… But what’s the use. I’d rather be out some money than bother with people who are so unhelpful. Never going back here again for any services.

Tania is the best Esthetician anywhere. She always is so thorough and has dramatically changed my skin for the better. Her attitude is nice and friendly and always has the customer ‘s best interest at heart. Can’t say that about the entire staff, including management, at Grand Spa, but Tania is a keeper for me… I would follow her anywhere.

I loved the service from Giselle. The only issue is that the walls are super thin. I heard the entire very loud conversation from the lady and her massage therapist next door. It messed up my my massage until I offered to go over there and shut them the heck up so I could have a peaceful rub down. Giselle took care of the issue. Great service, atmosphere and its clean.

I’ve been a client here since 2012 but only for hair. Today, a new door was opened: I just had the best massage of my life, thanks to Blanca.
I’ve been under a fair amount of stress, and it only took Blanca 10 minutes (instead of the normal 45 minutes) for my mind to drift. She uses firm pressure but it’s not painful — it’s cool to feel the knots squishing away.
The locker room has a good setup too (save for the prison flip flops), and the showers are what I refer to as «sex showers» — not a bad position and a lot of spray nozzles.
Absolutely worth it. Treat yo self.

Booked a couples massage and received the angriest, most painful massage I have ever had in my life by Greg. The locker room was freezing. The lotion was obnoxiously perfume laden. The massage was so horrible I ended up in tears when it was over. We spoke to the manager and she was hardly apologetic.

Wanted more of an arch to my eyebrows, and saw Lauren B. My brows now look fantastic. Lauren was very pleasant and had a sweet personality.
The spa is not as fancy as the other ones I’ve been to in Vegas or AZ, but it is well-​decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere.
I like that they had Kérastase products in the dressing rooms. They also sell some cute robes and hard-​to-​find beauty products in the lobby. Now I don’t have to order these items online anymore!
The receptionists are a tad snobby, but whatever. We’re Texans not Parisians!
I had a great experience and look forward to my next brow-​shaping session with Lauren.

I was invited here for a spa day in celebration of a relative’s upcoming wedding. Like its name implies everything about this spa is Grand. From size to services, I was impressed. Facials, massages, peels, manis/​pedis, hair blowouts you name it– they offer it here. The downside is that it is extremely pricey… considering the quality of services that I could get elsewhere for a much lower rate. Additionally, they do not have champagne. I don’t know about you, but when I go somewhere to be pampered I would like a little wine. champagne to help me unwind in the process (luckily we brought our own).
That being said, the «lounge area» was HUGE and beautifully done. Comfortable seating throughout to accommodate our large party, a private kitchen-​type room to prepare our appetizers (that they allowed us to bring in for our private party) and mint water, coffee and tea served complimentary. It was a really pleasant evening. The staff was accommodating and helpful bringing us ice upon request and even going out of their way to snap a few pictures for us.
If I happen to be in the area again, I would consider treating myself again to a service or two here.

My wife talked me into going in for a couples massage. I was dreading the experience, but when i got there the staff was friendly. They have the most comfortable robes and treatment rooms. I am definitley open to going there again.

Amazing massage! Found this place online after reading about it in D Magazine. We had six massages to schedule for our girls getaway weekend and they were wonderful to work with. My masseuse listened to what I wanted worked on and did an excellent job.
Next time I’m in Dallas I’ll definitely be stopping by!

Got a Gift Certificate last Christmas to Grand Spa. It included a massage, facial and pedicure.
The place is stunning, and I liked the way they put you in a robe and spoiled you. The massage was delightful, I had Greg and he was great. I upgraded to an hour and half on the massage. The facial was nice but it you want bells and whistles it’s extra but I like the tech very sweet.
Everything was amazing but the pedicure… well it was just ok and that’s all I’m going to say.
Would I go back, defiantly. The only draw back is the super high prices but your paying for the pampering, upgrade for extra half hour came to almost 60.00, so after tipping my GC cost me 105.00. And for as many services that I was doing a treat or glass of wine or something else drink wise offered would have been nice.
Lovely place and very nice staff, well worth it. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone.

I had an old gift certificate for a massage to the Grand Spa. I did not expect them to give me a massage for the certificate because the prices have gone up. I did expect them to honor the face value of the certificate! Much like a Groupon — it is always worth the face value.
The services were very good until I checked out. They refused to give me any credit for my $ 95 gift certificate! They said they had changed systems, management, etc. Nothing that was visible to the public. I gave them cash for the difference plus a tip and asked the manager to call me so we could settle the situation. They called me shortly after I left the spa and said that the manager was out of town and I needed to pay the full amount and that they were not going to give the technician her tip. We again discussed that I was asking for the credit for the face value of the certificate and not the service. I returned to the spa, paid the full amount and verified that the technician would receive her tip. They told me that the manager would contact me about the situation. Also they gave me a gift bag with bottle of lotion and an empty canvas sample bag. I will let you know if the Manager calls.
With the holidays approaching I do not recommend gifting friends with Grand Spa Gift certificates. For the price there are other spas in the Dallas area that are more customer focused and show more concern for their employees.

Rude. Rude. Rude.
This place completely lacks customer service. They didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked in at my appointment time. I think they were too busy playing on the computer. No other customers were there. Then, when finally someone asked if they could help me, I was berated for being late.
The mani/​pedi was priced high but did not offer any amenities that one would expect for the price. I could have received the same service at a hundred other spas for a fraction of the cost.
Skip. There are plenty of spas in Dallas that have good customer service and that are priced appropriately.

I paid over $ 250 for two mani/​pedi (not shellac) and 1 armpit waxing. The person who did my sister’s nails for her wedding in a few days was new to the job. It was literally her first day. We told them beforehand who was the bride. There was white stuff all over my sister’s fingers and the lines were uneven. The manicurist was having issues with the gloves and her hands were shaking the entire time.
My nails looked good but it was not superior to other mani/​pedis’ i’ve gotten for a third of the price. My manicurist who was Turkish was very nice and friendly.
The atmosphere is nicer than most nail salons. But for $ 90 per mani-​pedi, I was expecting mimosas, not water and ice tea.
I will not be coming back.

I’ve gone to this place about once a year. I have to make it a habit to go more often. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve had massages, facials and years ago, a pedicure. Usually go with a girlfriend or two. We take some champagne, fruit and cheese and go early enough to lounge and enjoy that first. This time it was for my gf’s birthday with her daughter and daughter in law. They served us lunch with the champagne we brought. Food was fresh and light, perfect for the circumstances.
The dressing area and shower area was clean, warm and well laid out. All four of us enjoyed our massage and left there feeling very nicely relaxed and ready for the evening birthday celebration !
The only negative was the wait. They pushed the lunch back and that pushed the massages up to the deadline. Didn’t really have time to finish.

I have a few Spa Finder Gift Cards. On Tuesday March 5, I went to the spa finder website and saw that Grand Spa was available! I was thrilled! I also went to the Grand Spa website and their site said gift cards accepted. I made my appt for Saturday, March 9, 5 days later. When I arrived, I checked in and noticed a sign that said «As of March 1, we no longer accept Spa Finder gift cards.» I immediately said that was what I had to pay with. They said sorry, we dont accept them. I explained that I booked the appt this week and it was still on both websites. «Sorry» they said, «were trying to fix the website.» No mention of this new policy when I CALLED to make the appt. Youd think that over the phone onemight say, how will you be paying? Just so you know, we no longer accept spa finder.
I said, well then I would like to cancel the appt. She then tried to tell me that they would be charging me 50% since I was charging the same day. UNACCEPTABLE. Because of YOUR mistake, YOUR website, YOUR error, you want me to pay you still? I spoke with a manager and they still did not accept the gift card. She offered to give me 10% off to keep the appt. No thanks. Luckily, they waived the «policy» of charging me 50%. I will NEVER go to Grand Spa ever again.

Take notes, write down times and names of people you speak to and confirm your appointments on the same day of your services. My wife got me an 80 minute massage for my birthday present. When I arrived on the day of the massage at the time of the massage I was told that there was nothing in the system under my name. When the manager, Monica called me later that afternoon she told me that they showed in their notes that a call was received by the spa that morning canceling my massage. I asked her who they spoke to, she said that they didn’t have a name, then I asked who at the spa cancelled my reservation and she said that their system didn’t show that information… odd. She then apologized and said that she would give me my massage gratis. Free. No charge for the inconvenience.
My wife booked the replacement service this passed Friday for a Sunday massage. She got a name, gave a credit card and asked for Monica to call and confirm the agreed upon deal. When Monica called regarding the arrangement she told me she had talked to the owner and they would NOT give me a free replacement service, rather they would extend a 20% OFF offer to me. No apology, no remorse — that’s what the owner has decided.
I asked for the owner to call me. Good luck with that, right?
What did I do wrong? I have been a customer for more than 10 years and this is how they treat people.
