I came here yesterday for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty. Chips are awesome! Salsa is awesome! Their enchiladas are some of my all time favorites! I’ve been a waitress before so I know how it’s hard to keep up with tables when it’s slow… But when someone has been done with their food for 15 minutes and the server is no where to be found, it’s getting a bit annoying by that point. Thankfully the manager actually walked by and I was able to ask for my check as I wanted to get out before traffic hot super bad.

We went yesterday for Sunday brunch. Nice ambience but the service and food were basura. First, our waiter kept disappearing, we asked 3 different people to find him. After our drink order it took him at least 15 minutes to come back for the food order. The champagne got warm after about 10 minutes because there was no ice in the bucket. The food was under seasoned and just blah. By far my worst experience at Gloria’s, I love the patio and location, but I probably won’t go back unless it’s just for a margarita.

Initially ordered the chicken and veggie plate. Chicken was bland and flavorless. The veggies were soppy and soggy. It was gross. Decided to try the ceviche instead … It was outstanding! Most things on the menu seem to be a hit or miss. The ceviche is delicious !

We were were visiting from the Bay area, California and decided to check this place out based on Unilocal reviews and I’m glad we did. Great ambiance, phenomenal service and out standing food. The drinks were delicious too. It looks like this place doubles as a salsa club too!

Came here to eat with my friends for lunch and ordered the tacos Cardon(beef tacos). Dish came with rice and beans and 3 tacos. They stuff it so much with beef I was only able to eat one. It was so amazing. I think it was also because as you sit down they bring out the chips and salsa as well as the bean dip so you can snack as you’re reading the amazing dishes on there menu. Service was fast and attentive. Will Def be back!

I went to Gloria’s on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. In general, I like this place — here is my breakdown of each thing: FOOD: Not bad at all. It wasn’t FANTASTIC but it was pretty decent, I’d eat here again. PRICE: Everything was very reasonably price. Two of us had dinner and a drink for about $ 60. DECOR: This place is beautiful. The music was good and also very pretty on the inside. SERVICE: Very fast service, and friendly as well. They speak English and Spanish too.

Got some shrimp garlic with rice and vegetables. Vegetables had no seasoning and too much garlic on the 5 piece of shrimp and no seasoning on it either. I didn’t enjoy my food at all, very disappointed. Need to do better but I love their drinks and environment.

I came with some friends after work on a Friday evening. The parking can get a little difficult because of all the other stores in the area. I have been to three different gloria locations and all of the décor is different in each one. This particular location has a nice upscale feel to it. I have had the food at gloria’s before but this time I just opted for a order of guacamole and a margarita. I was totally disappointed with the amount of guacamole you get for $ 8. I also had to literally chase a waiter down for chips for my guacamole. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive but we moved passed it and enjoyed our time there. All in all, the food was just okay, nothing to rush to in my opinion.

The building itself is very well laid out. It’s huge on the inside and though it gets busy it doesn’t feel crowded. It does get loud though. The restrooms were so nice! Heavy frosted glass doors enclosed each section and the stalls felt like a private restroom. Hehe The food was okay. The black bean dip was flavorful as was the salsa. I ordered Gloria’s Special with a cheese and pork pupusa, tamale, fried yucca, and platanos. The papusa and platanos were the best out of bunch and had great flavor, if I ordered that alone it would’ve been a better experience. Unfortunately the meal came with awful tamales that fell apart as soon as it slid out of the banana leaf and was incredibly mushy and off putting. The texture wasn’t appetizing at all. The fried yucca was too firm and didn’t have the crunch that yucca should have. On a good note, the server was pleasant, though soft spoken, and quick to refill water glasses.

Came with my coworkers after work. Good area. I didnt realize how nicely upscale it’d be. With a name like Gloria I didnt expect much. I got the Grilled Qual and it was good just a lot of bones! My waiter was very attentive. All in all, the food was decent. But the décor was fab.

It might be a chain, but at least it’s a DFW Texas chain and only has 17 locations(with 2 in Austin &1 in Houston). Have been to a couple of locations; however, this Addison(or at least the one that used be in almost the exact same place) spot was my first experience with Gloria’s a million years ago. I haven’t visited this particular restaurant in ages and boy I am so impressed by the changes. Recently remodeled, the space is just gorgeous. Love. Some things never change. It’s almost always packed, but they never fail to deliver on service or food. A very well oiled machine — all staff have headsets on so they can communicate throughout the restaurant and kitchen. Very systematic while still offering a warm and inviting atmosphere and friendly service. Over several visits have tried a variety of menu items; however, always tend to go back to what they refer to as their SalviTex(Salvadorianish) fare. Hubby and I always get a couple pupusas(now have to order a «plate» of three with a bit of salad for $ 9.99 — merp) and share the Churrasco Tipico(not on lunch menu, but can order and they will oblige) — grilled sirloin with Spanish rice, black bean soup, fried plantains, yuca and yummy chimichurri sauce(used to also come with Argentine sausage, but no longer). PLENTY of food for two. Along with the change in price and serving option of pupusas, they seem to be much larger than before, have more filling(choice of cheese or pork), and they are just BETTER. The pork has a wonderful smoky taste to it and is so juicy. Gloria’s happy hour drinks are awesome! HH is ALLDAY Monday thru Wednesday, but ends at 8 on Thursday so be sure to get there early(er). Recommend!

Wowza. Is this the same Gloria’s I used to go to??? This place has been renovated within the past year or so and I’m definitely late on the game. The new dining room and bar area are gorgeous! Gloria’s offers a lot of options, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with a dish here. My fav thing about this chain is that they serve latin food, but also offer some classic Tex-Mex, and all of the food, unlike several other Latin/Mexican competitors, is not greasy, or oozing with a heart-attack load of cheese. I can actually taste the food and what lies underneath! I might even go as far as to say, it’s a semi-healthy option depending on what you choose. As for their house margaritas, drink with caution. These things aren’t for the weak-hearted. One will have you buzzin like a bee!

I have been going to this Gloria’s for years now! Sometimes for dinner and sometimes for dancing! They recently re-constructed and renovated the place and it looks much classier I must say. The food is always good but prices have gone up so I can’t give it 5 stars. I usually get the chicken and potato tamales which was $ 9 I believe and comes with 6 tamales. Monday-Wednesday they have half-off of wine bottles which is nice. I think the last time I went for dancing was last January 2015 and they have the live band and a lot of people come out. I believe it’s $ 10 after 10pm to get in because it essentially turns into a club. I believe I have had their tortilla soup too which was decent and chicken enchiladas with rice which was also very good. The service could also be improved. They are not the most professional. Anyway, I will be back anyway! Enjoy!

Wish they hadn’t changed locations! Old location in addison was fun, and different. Awesome patio with huge Palm trees everywhere and building was painted fun colors, made you feel like you were in South America or Mexico. They moved 2 doors down, and the patio is pretty cool as it being fairly large, but other than that I think big mistake. Inside is dull and cafeteria like. Food is always consistent, margaritas are always amazing. Staff is always on top of it, would be 5 stars from me had they not changed locations, which isn’t nearly as appealing anymore. Use to come 2 a month, now about 1 every 4 months for food alone. Cheers!

The black bean dip and salsa are both excellent. The service is usually friendly and the atmosphere has a nice modern feel to it. My primary complaint, and the reason that I’m not giving Gloria’s four stars is that they essentially force you to valet park your car for $ 5 plus tip. They do this by giving the valets permission to cone off dozens of parking spaces all over the place. I’m not sure if they view the valet as a way to increase their average check size but it is a big annoyance if you don’t like to allow others to park your car.

I went today for the first time — for a lunch. The entire place was quite nice! Good atmosphere and service! I was here for a business lunch and ordered the tacos al carbon. The food was served almost immediately! And it was really busy at that time. So A+ for service. The steak in the tacos were very good. Juicy and tender with some buttery flavor to it — I was really surprised at how good the meat was flavored. The sides, however were mediocre. A little bit of guac, veggies, rice, and beans. Nothing too special. It was a bit loud during lunch and not too much seclusion. So it was a bit difficult to talk/hear. But the décor and look of the place was well done.

I’m a Tex-Mex fanatic and Gloria’s is one of my absolute favorites! Over the years I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve tried a few things like fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos, rice, beans, black bean dip(my personal fave) mango margarita, etc. It’s all good.

The BF and I came here for Sunday brunch(definitely not my first time here) and the service was great per usual. I do wish they had a few more brunch options, but our omelettes were delicious! Mimosas are $ 1 during brunch or if you want to add a little flavor the pomegranate or mango mimosas are $ 2. They are made well and not weak which is always a plus in my book! The interior of this Gloria’s location is very beautiful creating a chic ambiance for it’s patrons. Definitely worth checking it out if you’re in the area.

I have been here twice and loved this place and food. It’s a very beautiful fine dining restaurant with beautiful interiors and ambience. They don’t take reservations and this place gets extremely busy on weekends and evenings. They have the best Grilled Quail. Their sides are very different and delicious. Especially the rice, Rice has a very different taste, it reminds me of the taste of fine basmati from India. The Plantains also are cooked to perfection. This is my favorite place for latin food I have been to other branches too, but so far my experience has been best in this branch especially in terms of food.

I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, but the food here was good, and my bridesmaids enjoyed it very much. The bean dip with chips was delicious. I only eat quesadillas at Mexican restaurants. Steak quesadillas was good, and the combination fajitas as good as well.

Friday night is party night. We went for a friend’s birthday celebration. Packed with people, Gloria’s does not accept reservations and will only seat people if over half the party is present. The interior was gorgeous, bright, and lively. Even in a crowded restaurant, the lights at each table provide an intimate environment where you only focus on the company you are with. Complimentary chips, salsa and dip. Pescado Acajutla was clean, light, and fresh. Birthday friend got flan for dessert. I will be back for salsa night.

I went to Gloria’s for brunch one Saturday and I LOVED it. I had a omelet with black beans which I was a little skeptical at first but once I had my first bit I was in love with it. While you are waiting for your food they give you a black bean dip and a salsa. I really liked the black bean dip it was warm which made it even better. I tried the different mimosas but my favorite was the pomegranate mimosa. The brunch menu is a little limited but I think everyone can find something they will enjoy.

Came here for Sunday brunch and it was packed! We were seated immediately, however, and our server was very attentive. They offer complimentary chips with a black bean dip and salsa(spicier salsa is available upon request). The guac was fresh and the food was pretty good. The mimosas are $ 2 and tasted like any other, but I preferred the pomegranate mimosa over the original and mango. Loved the ambiance and I’ll def be back to check out salsa nights!

Had never been here but everyone I know talks about it like it’s awesome. Friend and I came in on a Thursday night a bit before 8 luckily still in time for happy hour. The food: Complimentary chips, salsa and black bean dip. Salsa wasn’t great. It was almost like pace picante sauce texture and flavor. I ordered a house margarita on the rocks and shrimp and chicken enchiladas. Comes with rice and beans and topped with your choice of sauces. The margarita was good and pretty strong. The enchiladas were just okay and the rice was a little over seasoned salt-wise. Friend got mixed fajitas: pork and chicken I think. She said they were good but sent her sangria back and opted for a mojito. Was watered down tasting she said. For dessert we got flan that was also just okay. I’ve had much better. The positive: our waiter Eric was very nice and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The bad: just average Tex-mex type food Everything was pretty underwhelming. (I’m wondering if I just ordered the wrong thing but if enchiladas aren’t good at a Tex next place what else will be…) Quite disappointed. Should have gone to Velvet Taco the way we planned. Would have been tastier and probably half the cost of what we paid here. Don’t think I’ll return unless it’s just for drinks.

Let me start with jose is an excellent bartender and makes the best skinny margarita! We came to Gloria’s for a nightcap and some dancing. We had a few drinks and danced to some very fun live music on a Friday. I was so happy to see that Addison essentially had a club to offer. The atmosphere is lovely, very diverse with live mixed music.

If your a big fan of Mi Cocina and Taco Diner… you will also become a big fan of Glorias. The new and completely rennovated Gloria’s has taken a 180 degree change from the old-school, typical tex-mex restaurant. The Addison location contains a more upscale and mature-like ambiance. The patio area has completely transformed and is PERFECT for the cooler weather. Glorias has always provided the best service since I’ve been dining there for the past 8 years and have never had a bad experience. I ordered the mediocre chicken quesadillas after having a couple glasses of wine. Generally, I prefer to have pico de gallo included inside my quesadillas(Mi Cocina and Taco Diner), but the kitchen chef doesnt feel the same way. It’s okay because the REAL reason why I keep coming back is the BEANDIP! I absolutely love the complimentary black bean dip, tortilla chips and salsa. I strongly recommend dining here if you are in the mood to explore a new restaurant in the Addison area.

This place I guess is alright, nothing to really brag about. Went with a group of 12 and waited close to 45mins to be seated. Once seated the waiter was like rushing us to make a quick choice out of the menu which, i find very low. Then, not all of us where done with our meals whe he started bringing the bill. Fancy looking place with a very low hospitality service on my opinion. Food had a great flavor which i find the only possitive about this place.

I’ve been here now a few times and never thought to review it, but the recent changes warrant a review. They have recently modernized the inside, dare I say, it feels a it more swanky. The bar scene is poppin’ and the scene is energetic. This place is great for groups, including kids, The food here has progressively gotten better each time I come. The brisket tacos are my favorite and still remain that way. you get both regular salsa and bean dip to go with your complimentary chips. The service is not too attentive, but sometimes it is good to have it that way. Plus, it was super crowded the last time I was there. Parking continues to be a challenge for this place during peak hours.

The best Latin cuisine in Dallas/Addison! I am supposed to be induced for labor tomorrow. The doctor told me I should eat like it was my last meal… I, Mikhael, have chosen Gloria’s to be my last meal before the little one shows! One of the millions of things that is so awesome at this place is that you get complimentary chips, salsa… ANDBLACKBEANDIP! Which is incredible. I get the same thing every time… yes I’m that kind of girl… chicken fajita chimichanga. It’s a plate of cheesy, ooey gooey awesomeness! A lot on one plate and you might need to be wheeled out of the restaurant after completing such a meal. The hubby gets the seafood soup… one of the most expensive soups I’ve eaten… pretty tasty… Filled with all the shrimp, scallops, mussels, and lobster the city of Dallas has! Yummy margs… even yummier food… made this lady with the baby very happy!

I see so many people at Gloria’s and I keep thinking that I’m missing out on something. They have live music and drinks are flowing left and right. I ate here with a few friends for Sat brunch and I was not impressed. The décor is nice, fancy, and spacious. The food is the complete opposite. I’m not saying that the food has to be fancy or anything, but it was not good. The chips and salsa are average, not the best I’ve had and not the worst. The salsa is way too spicy. They should offer a mild and spicy vs just a spicy salsa. The black bean dip does not look appetizing at all. I had the breakfast tacos for brunch and they were filling, but not very flavorful. There was no salt and unfortunately had to reach for the spicy salsa. Steak nachos looked so pedestrian and flat. Also a dish that was was not impressive. 1 dollar mimosas? Sure! I can drink 5 and feel nothing at all. The only thing that stood out was the service. On point and very attentive!

This is the best Gloria’s I have been to. A girlfriend and I arrived early for a group dinner so we took a seat at the bar. I ordered a dirty gin martini which the bartender made to perfection. It had beautiful ice skates.(If you are a martini drinker, you will appreciate that!) Once all 10 guests arrived we were seated and our waiter was amazing. It’s hard to please a table of 10 women and he did it with grace and charm. He didn’t even mind when I practiced Spanish with him. I split the tamales and the orange roughy ceviche with a friend and it was waaaaaay more food that we could eat. Both items were delicious. The ceviche was fresh and light and had just the right mix of seafood. The tamales were as good as tamales get. I would highly recommend going here either with a date or with a large party.

Within the revitalized area of Addison at the tollway and Beltline road is Gloria’s. When did they remodel the inside? I don’t know but the open layout is nice, cosmopolitan like. There is a large outdoor covered patio to enjoy the weather. Parking in this area can be limited during peak hours. The bar gets a lot of attention with it’s nice design and sparkling décor. Well on to the best part, the food. One of the favorite things about this place that I like are the chips, salsa and bean dip while you take it all in at first site. I ordered the Salmon Costeno(dinner) that is an 8oz Salmon Filet resting on a banana leaf. It comes with Rice, Veggies, Plantains, all for $ 17.99. The Salmon was cooked right. I felt it needed more spices but again I’m not familiar with true El Salvadorean cuisines. Overall the experience was good and the service was excellent. Always a good spot to enjoy the food and company.

This restaurant since being moved and redone is HUGE compared to the old location! If you go on a Friday or Saturday night they dim the lights so much it feels almost like a club. The noise level is very loud. If you sit at a large table you’ll have to yell to talk. The food is good. The brisket tacos have a great flavor. Sometimes they put a good amount of brisket and other times it has more cheese than actual brisket. The shrimp salad is very good. Tons of avocado and good sized shrimp. It’s light but filling. Their sangria is very good. Most times they’ll put fruit in it. Service is decent. The servers I’ve come across have always been friendly. Since the place is so large and always busy it does seem to take a while to get food or drinks. This is a good restaurant to grab a bite to eat if in the area. It does get busy on the weekends so prepare to have a bit of a wait. This place has a good vibe for large fun parties but avoid if you’re looking for something intimate for a date night or catching up with a friend.
