Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration

Everyone there was very kind and helpful, I cake with my twin, Cindy Daniel and our little Pawners, Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney for the NOH8 Campaign. We did not realize we were to wear white as I was in the dash getting to the event at the request of a TGRA friend. Adam, the famous and artistic photographer was so kind to loan the Pawning Planners white tshirts he had purchased that we bought various sizes and sent them to the W Hotel to his attention to repay the favor. We wore rainbow feather boas and gifted them to a couple on our way out of this beautiful church striving to support their community. God Bless Them!

I attended Transfiguration this weekend numerous times for a Godly Play CORE training. Besides being EXTREMELY impressed that they have multiple rooms dedicated to Godly Play, I was blown away by the overall building. They even have a labyrinth inside.
The church staff was beyond wonderful and made us feel so at home during this conference. Gaye Lynn was so hospitable.
My only complaint was that during one of our Godly Play story sessions, numerous people came into the room and started getting flowers ready for Sunday services. Out of all the rooms in this building it seemed strange that they would come into ours while we were in session.

Transfig is a wonderful church. My family and I started coming here when we moved to Dallas in 1999. The members are very welcoming and leave you with the feeling of being in a very large extended family event when attending services and functions. There are several groups that allow you to become more involved in Church life. I can speak from first hand knowledge on how wonderful the Youth program is. Transfig does a great job of recognizing how important the youth is to the Church and gets them involved and active at a young age. The clergy is amazing as well and really takes a personal interest in the parishioners lives. Many of the priests are highly distinguished within the religious community as well. With some of them being published and successful author’s. JD does a great job of leading Transfig down the right path and Father Merriman is an inspiration to many.

I have not attended this church’s services, however I did volunteer on their campus for the NOH8 open photo shoot… first let me say how grateful I am for them to be open to the LGBTQ community… I met several members and staff and nobody could have been any friendlier… IF I lived closer, I would attend regularly but alas, I live an hour and a half away… just a very open and accepting Christ led group of people, finally a church «gets it»…it’s about the love… the love of Christ and the love of Christ’s children.

My church choice of home It is friendly and welcoming.
Lots to do for kids, adults, teens and older memebers. Always something going on. Without being too big or too nosy!

Church of the Transfiguration is one of the friendliest, most welcoming places I’ve ever been. The worship and liturgy are beautiful and the programs are extensive.
