Have a crown for one month. The crown start shaking already. Very disappointed. Didn’t do a good job. Get a crown and «deep clean» for almost $ 2500!!! I don’t mind to pay the money as long as my tooth get fix. I went to a different dentist, they told me need to redo the crown and I total didn’t need a «deep clean» which cost for $ 900! The crown they put on feel really rough and sharp. Cut my tough at least 5 times in one month. Trying to find a lawyer to get my money back.

My husband was in so much pain and desperately needed a tooth pulled. They got us in fast, they put his fears at ease and we were in and out. But they didn’t prescribe any pain meds, just said to take Advil. Which didn’t help. My husband’s pain escalated and I called to request pain meds. We got them. He ended up with dry socket and we had to return on Saturday, yay they’re open on Saturdays. My husband said the dentist was different on his return visit, felt a little more confident with him. He prescribed medicine without us asking and within two days hubby is all better. All in all given what we paid and that he is all better, we would return.

Be CAREFUL of this place! I went in initially because a filling had fallen out and I was in from out of town. Dossett was 1 hour late for my appointment and quickly saw an in to take advantage of an out of town person. They wanted to clean my teeth (not needed as last cleaning was a just a few month prior), xrays (which I had authorized) then they wanted to do a root canal on a tooth that didn’t need it. WORST PART was, they didn’t accept my insurance and wanted to charge me 2K for work that WASN’T NEEDED!
They tried to tell me that my tooth had decay and I would be in a lot of pain. They were wrong. The cavity in the tooth was drilled by my dentist to set the filling. Dossett wanted to take the easy way out and do an expensive root canal. I quickly said no thanks and left. I returned to my dentist and she put the filling back in and confirmed that there was no decay.
BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS! They try to pressure you into getting procedures done on your mouth THAT YOU DON’T NEED! THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE BY BEING AN EMERGENCY DENTAL CLINIC. THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS, THE ENTIRE STAFF. HIGH PRESSURE SALESMEN. I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT THEM TO THE TEXAS ATTY GENERALS OFFICE.

Very professional and courteous staff. Made me feel like I was the center of their attention every visit. High quality care. Very personalized. I have a very sensitive tongue to taste and they work very hard to help me not have to taste all the crazy taste when they fill my teeth. They also take wonderful care of your gums to help prevent periodontal disease. Which if gotten in your blood stream can cause endocarditis and can be fatal.
Like I said. They’re wonderful & make you feel like you’re special and their main focus.

Like many guys, I knew I was developing problems with a few of my teeth, but I waited until I was in excruciating pain … and then I went to the dentist. Once I was finally on the verge of tears and contemplated whether or not a Leatherman multi-​tool had enough grip to rip out teeth, I frantically looked for a dentist who had Friday hours (not an easy task). Desperate to avoid another weekend of no sleep and no eating, I was able to make a same-​day appointment and got the problem addressed immediately. I knew I was in for some significant work, but I was not expecting to been seen and treated the same day. I thought I’d have to take a round of antibiotics and manage the pain with narcotics until I could get back in a week or so later. Dr. Tehrani and his team worked on me for nearly five hours straight (three root canals). I was 90% pain-​free the rest of the weekend with little to no need for meds. The team really took great care of me. It was late on a Friday and no one even gave the hint that they were itching to leave. At the end of my appointment, I mentioned I was hungry and they offered to reheat me some leftover fajitas. They sounded great and the only reason I said «No, thanks» was because I couldn’t feel my face. And they called my prescriptions in for me to the Albertson’s next door so all I had to do was walk over and pick them up. I’ve got a few more follow-​up visits that I’m actually looking forward to.

This place is such a joke. My husband went in two weeks ago in excruciating pain in the area which Dossett Dental did a root canal previously. We only went back because they advertised a free consultation, and we thought they could tell us what was happening. They took x-​rays, wrote prescriptions, and scheduled an appointment for a few days later.
We couldn’t get the prescriptions filled because the doctor didn’t have a valid number in the system. The pharmacy filed an official investigation against them. My husband then had to go through the terrible pain all night until a REPUTABLE dentist opened and we could get it fixed. Turned out the root canal Dossett did was very messed up, and we had to see a specialist for $ 1500 to get it repaired. They also refused to send the x-​rays we had paid for the day before to this dentist so we had to pay for the same x-​rays again.
I tried contacting the office manager Michelle to tell her about our experience on FIVE different occasions by leaving messages with the office staff and sending in the online contact form. Nothing. I finally got a hold of her on the phone, and all we got were excuses and a refusal to refund.
STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It’ll end up costing you 10x more in the long run.

I can rant all day about how horrific this dentist office is. Faripa the lady up front the most was the worst of it all. I should’ve known by how fake she was acting that she would overcharge me.
Overall, SCAMMED. Stay away from this place. I keep seeing this place on Groupon too and it gives me the shivers. Off to find a better HONEST dental practice. I can’t believe people like this exists.
I saw it on the news how there are dental practices that have a quota, and are really competitive… and will tell you that you need certain work done when you don’t. YEP This place is it. Avoid this dentist office at ALL costs.

I went to Dossett Dental on Saturday, in a lot of pain.
I left confused, still in pain and feeling bullied. Two stars for dispensing pain meds and antibiotics, as well as googling the name of my insurance provider and writing down the phone number with a sigh.
My «options» were explained to me without knowing what they would cost, or how I should best proceed. It seemed as though they wanted me either under sedation, or out of there as soon as possible. Reading the other reviews, I’m glad I chose to leave.
Basically a doc-​in-​the-​box and not much more. You’re better off at a walk-​in medical clinic. As a bonus, scraped my knuckles on the door, so actually left in more pain than I arrived!

So I am new to Dallas and I ended up breaking a tooth on a Friday. I went online and looked for a dentist open on Saturday and there was Dossett Dental. Now I will start off by saying that I haven’t been taking care of my teeth for a while and I knew I needed to have cavities filled. They told me that it was going to be about $ 5000 to get a root canal and a crown… But my insurance and care credit would take care of it. But then they said I had serious issues with my gums and needed to have them deep cleaned. I might have I am not sure but I decided to get it done. So in the end I have paid close to $ 6000 and I didn’t need a root canal. So I believe I have been ripped off royally, but that was my bad I should have investigated more. They also tried to talk me into veneers and invisalign that would have cost 13 000 for the veneers I told them I would live with my 2 crooked teeth. all the cavities that they filled were horribly lumpy and uncomfortable. I ended up going back in and got a different dentist his name was Dr. Schwalm, he is amazing I loved the guy he was friendly he told me the truth about the situation with my mouth and the issues I am having and recommended other specialist for those issues. no mention of venneers or invisilgn from him he just cared about fixing my issues and giving me the advise I needed. Instead of telling me I had to go to anyone in particular. If I wasn’t getting ripped off but the office sales lady and getting lumpy filling that cost $ 200+ each I would go back just for him. The whole experience is a life lesson for me I guess that is going to cost me a nice chunk of change. But I now have my new crown and Dr Schwaim did an amazing job. The man even went online and printed out a webpage for another dentist that he recommended. Dr. Schwaim gets 5 stars and the dental assistants too. But as far as that company and the other dentist they get one.

So I went in to Dossett Dental to get my Groupon redeemed for an exam, xrays, and whitening. Was taken in — had xrays done, and then they hygienist came in. She said that I needed a deep cleaning. Before the dentist came to see me, the office manager, Fariba Dodgostar, came in and saw me and said that it would cost me $ 850. I didn’t consent by signature, not even verbally, and the hygienist was about to start the deep cleaning on me when I said that I didn’t want it because of the cost. This was ALL before I saw the dentist. Then the dentist came and told me I needed a filling replaced with a «build up» and crown. Then when I asked about the whitening I had paid for with the groupon, they said that in the groupon, it said if I needed a deep cleaning, that they couldn’t do the whitening. So they basically charged me $ 100 for an exam and xrays — something that they offer for free anyways (

What I failed to tell them was THAT I’M A DENTIST. Me needing a deep cleaning is an ABSOLUTE LIE. Secondly, a hygienist CAN’T diagnose that I need a deep cleaning. Texas Occupation Code 262.151 — «the dental hygienist does not: (A) diagnose a dental disease or ailment; (B) prescribe a treatment or a regimen;». Also Dr. Susan Koo stating that I need to have my filling replaced with a build-​up and crown is over-​treatment as well. And I don’t need to have my «deep cleaning done» before I get a whitening. This is obviously just a tactic for them to get people in the door and see what idiot doesn’t look into their treatment planning, and just pays them for extra, unnecessary treatment. Hell, at my office, if someone paid $ 900 for a not deep cleaning, I would give them a free whitening too. Needless to say I got a refund on my groupon and I am reporting them to the dental board…

I went to the Arapaho location this morning. Everyone was super friendly and over attentive especially since I told them I had a bad experience with the removal of my wisdom teeth. Funny thing is when I went to the reception area to pay when we were finished MONEY WAS MISSING FROM MY WALLET. I counted the money before my procedures, right in front of the lady that discusses costs and payments so I know for a fact I was robbed. The only time I was not in the room with my purse which contained the wallet which contained my money was when I went to the bathroom, which one of the assistants insisted I do before they started and he stood outside the bathroom door to direct me back to the room. Of course that seems a bit suspicious now but im really not sure who was involved, i just know $ 160 was taken from my wallet. They credited me the amount and said they would investigate it so I didn’t call the police till I got home… I only called to ask if fingerprints could be collected off my wallet and they can’t. Pretty much no point in filling a report especially since they covered the loss. Just warning others to b super careful. They have strange practices. I’ve never been to a dentist that puts glasses on u so that u can’t open ur eyes. Also I think the dosage of laughing gas may have been inappropriate.

I went to Dossett Dental for a cleaning and check up, when I got there they did x-​rays and the dentist examined my teeth, after that I waited (I was there about 2 hours) and waited. Then I was informed that they did not know I was there for a cleaning and that I would have to reschedule. This should have been my sign to go somewhere else… but I didn’t see it and I rescheduled.
When I went back I was going to get the cleaning plus have the two cavities that the dentist found fixed. I got there for my second appointment and the dental hygienist looked at my teeth for maybe 10 seconds and informed me that I needed to $ 700 deep cleaning. I told the girl that I did not want it and that I would just have the regular cleaning, she told me it would be a waste of time and that they would not do it. I said ok, let’s do the cavities then.
Once those had been fixed the fillings felt like sandpaper on my teeth (and not just the ones with the cavities), I told the dentist and she took about 4 attempts to fix it before I said, it’s ok. At that point I knew I was going to have to find a different dentist.
As soon as I left there I found a highly rated dentist and asked if they could get me in, of course they could not… so they put me on the cancelation list and then I got in the next day: D When I got there I called Dossett Dental to ask them to e-​mail my x-​rays to this dentist. They told me, you were just here yesterday, why did you not like us? Ha! Then they told me it would be $ 35 to have my x-​rays sent over. Just another reason to add to my stack of why I would never go back to the S#!+ hole.
I did not need a deep cleaning, I didn’t have any deep pockets and I barely had any plaque on my teeth (that’s what the hygienist and dentist told me). And my fillings were fixed.

Dossett Dental was by far the worst dental experience of my entire life.
After living in Dallas a short while, I began looking for a dentist for my bi-​annual cleaning and check-​up, and I also wanted to get a whitening done before my wedding last December.
One day I received a flier in the mail from Dossett Dental on Arapaho Road. I should accept part of the blame for not researching this company beyond their own website, because as I would find out later, there are MANY complaints about them online. The flier advertised something to the effect of: «99 dollars for x-​rays and cleaning» and also had a great offer for whitening.
So I quickly scheduled an appointment. I show up, they take x-​rays, and a lady comes in (not the dentist advertised on the brochure, Dossett himself) with a huuuuuge laundry list of things that she called «emergency dental work». I protested that I hadn’t had any pain so I would hardly believe I had 10 or more cavities and 2 teeth in need of crowns! The dentist then went and got their «office manager” who appears to be the «BIG MAN» in this office scheme. She had them get some sort of small video camera device that they put on my «horrible» tooth and showed something on a screen that looked horrible and black and gray, and said that I must get this fixed immediately or face the need for a root canal very soon. Looking back, I’m pretty sure the image on the screen was NOT my tooth.
Out of fear, I did authorize them to fix that ONE tooth.
They quickly placed the laughing gas mask on me, and it only, regrettably, continues to worsen from there. After being under the ‘influence’ of the gas mask, they brought in a huge stack of forms apparently authorizing them to do a ton of other work on my teeth… After horrible pain and sobering back up from the laughing gas, I began to realize that I needed to get out of there ASAP. I paid my due amount for that day, but did have to reschedule a follow-​up for the placement of my permanent crown a few weeks later. As walking out the door, I felt woozy, and had to call my husband to come get me. Something also seemed fishy about their laughing gas. Drugging patients to sign up for more dentistry is NOT cool.
My husband ensured that I had paid the amount due to Dossett Dental, and we told them I would get a second opinion elsewhere.
I did have to go back to get the permanent crown, but I brought my assertive mother-​in-​law with me to back me up. I’m horrible and confrontations, and I’m glad I brought her because, sure enough, they tried to charge me 200 more dollars on top of the 1100 I had already paid them. We assured them we did NOT owe anything to them and have not heard from them since.
We have sent letters to the Better Business Bureau and would like to spread the word as far and wide as we can.
Bottom line, Dossett Dental said I needed 11 THOUSAND dollars worth of dental work. Come to find out at my second opinion, I only had ONE cavity, and probably didn’t even need that crown they conned me into.
