History

Established in 2001.

After traveling the world with as a free lance travel director, and later as an incentive sales rep, I needed to slow down when my daughter was born. I started D’Lane Maselunas Travel with one small conference that operated twice a year. I continued to grow the business which with groups only for 8 years. When the economy collapsed in 2009, so did my group business, with many companies canceling their events.

A colleague who owned an American Express Travel Agency encouraged me to branch out into the world of booking individual travel and family vacations. It was a great move for me.

Today, D’Lane Maselunas Travel is about 50 – 50 between groups and individual or family travel. I am able to plan a trip for one person, or for 1000 people. Our team has the experience and resources to cut through the clutter of the internet and put together the trip of a lifetime.

D’Lane’s first introduction to the world of travel was in 1991 when she took a year off from graduate school to drive the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. From there, D’Lane and her husband, Bill, became on-​site travel directors, traveling the world while working various company meetings and incentive trips. They worked the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta for worldwide sponsor UPS. D’Lane then worked in sales and planning for Carlson Marketing Group for 4 years before starting D’Lane Maselunas Travel in 2001. Because of her vast travel experience, D’Lane can book it all: air and hotel for business travel, budget family travel, group travel, or amazing once in a lifetime adventures. D’Lane has a passion for travel and a zest for life, call her and chat about travel, it is guaranteed to be a fun conversation.

D’Lane has been to 47 countries and 44 states and has a bucket list of many places she still wants to go.
