Discount Tire Store – Dallas, TX

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Sure, you might wait a few minutes before they fit you in but seriously I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Discount Tire, and particularly this branch! No matter why my tire is flat they replace it for nothing but $ 15 to replace the warranty on it again. Then, when I go in to get my air pressure checked, he found my tire looked full but actually only was putting out 10 lbs pressure, so they found the issue and replaced it for free! I will never get my tires anywhere except Discount Tire. The warranty I put on each tire has paid for itself AT LEAST 10 times over.

Excellent. I use to buy my tires online but coming to this place is much smarter. Staff is friendly and professional. I purchased insurance for my tires for about $ 30 apeice which came in handy since I punctured three tires. They replaced or repaired them no questions asked. Highly recommended.

I just left NTB 15 minutes ago who told me I needed a new tire and couldn’t be fixed. Hugo here at discount tire took one look and said no problem, 30 minute wait. Bought 4 new tires for my daughter’s car last year, and still running smooth. I’ll never skip this place again because the line is too long. There’s a reason why, because they do great work. Customer for life!

Great, super fast service! They knew exactly what we needed, and we were in and out in less than 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

Overall great experience. I drive up, park and get out the car and immediately a gentlemen (can’t remember his name) starts walking towards me. Which Is great because I was crunched for time and didn’t fill like flagging anyone down. We went back to my car so he could evaluate my tires. I already knew my tires were worn so I really didn’t need any convincing. We went inside to view some prices and immediately he starts talking about one of the most expensive tires (which is the reason I deducted one star from this review). I immediately gave him the side eye and told him what my budget was. My vehicle is a 2010 and I plan to get a new one within the next 2 years so I don’t need the super superior top of the line tires. But not some bottom of the barrel tires either. Especially since I was getting all 4 tires replaced. Just something in the mid range as far as quality. So he gave me some other options and I made a selection that I was comfortable with as far as quality and price. I gave him my keys at 12:50pm and they were pulling my car to the front by 1:15 so the wait wasn’t painful at all. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and wait time.

In my fourth screwed up tire incident since moving to Dallas (what the heck is wrong with these roads?!) I found my tire light on and assumed the worst. With a sinking feeling I slowly limped into Discount Tire, hoping my poor tire could live with a patch. Nerves high I walked in only to be greeted promptly by two customer service reps with smiles on their faces. «Maybe it won’t be so bad,» I thought. Not a minute later, a rep was looking at my tire, and putting my mind at ease. His friendly demeanor and quick service assured me they would get me in and out in 20 minutes. He told me all my options, leaving me feeling like even if I had to get new tires, they would take care of me and it would all be fine.
Secondary props to be incredibly helpful and kind to an elderly lady who came in as well.
Highly recommend and will be taking all my tire business to them now and in the future.

Came in for a simple job (replace a single tire) and was told my car would be ready in 45 to 60 minutes. It’s been over an hour and my car hasn’t even been moved from its parking spot yet.
If you can’t give a good estimate of how long a job is gonna take, don’t give one.

Great customer service and quick work. We set an appointment the day before. Lee quoted us a price over the phone and it was completely honored when I took the vehicle the next morning. The work was done in 30min and I was on my way. No fuss, great price and awesome crew. Thanks guys

This place is great. They’re always very helpful, reasonably priced, and quick.
I love that they’re focused on tires, and unlike the major tire chain across the street, don’t drop nonsense lines like «your blinker fluid needs to be flushed – we’ve got a special – $ 199,» or «looks like your presta valve bushings need to be recalibrated.»
These are the type of guys you’d send your grandma to; no question.

In and out with 4 new tires in less than an hour on Saturday morning without an appointment. Employee very good at explaining recommendation to someone who knew nothing about tires. Very honesty.

Hands down the best Discount tire in Dallas. Everyone there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I’ve heard numerous horror stories about Discount tire ruining your wheels. Never once have these guys put a single scratch on my wheels. Good quality workmanship! You, your pride and joy are in good hands if you take it to this store.

This is by far the best experience I have ever had at a Discount Tire. I got my tires rotated and balanced and it took less than 20 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly as usual with discount tire. They may be slightly higher in price compared to another shop (unconfirmed), but their service and speed us well worth it.

So happy I followed my instinct + came here about my tire after getting lied to somewhere else!!! I will definitely buy my tires here when it’s time! So grateful for the honesty!

What a great company! My husband has bought many tires from DT over the years: for our daughters’ cars, our grand children’s cars as well as our two. They have always had great service and competitively priced tires. Now that my husband has died, I find myself depending on Discount Tire to help me take care of my tire needs. When the «check tire pressure» light came on in my car, I promptly took it to my closest location. They found a nail in the tire, patched it, made sure the pressure was right in all four and all that for no charge!!! Thanks, Fellas!!!

Yesterday was the first time I had ever visited Discount Tire, but after a friend told me what great service he’d experienced, I decided to try it for myself.
I was greeted by an employee/​manager in the parking lot just moments after I got out of the car. He was friendly and courteous, and allowed me to tell him exactly what I needed without him jumping in and suggesting things I «needed.» Once inside the store he gave me options that were completely affordable, and didn’t tried to upcharge me on anything… in fact he ended up giving me a deal. I gave him the keys, and one of the employees took my van into the service bay, and after ten minutes he approached me, not to say I needed something else, or he needed to show me anything, but to tell me my car was ready. I will definitely be back!

The waiting experience would be MUCH more pleasant with free guest wifi since service can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 3+ hours.

Update: The manager reached out to me. Have yet to speak but that alone helps take the sting out of the experience. Meanwhile I have received private messages from other Unilocalers complaining about the same employee. Bumping stars from 1 to 3 based on the manager taking initiative.
Original review: have been buying tires from here for many years. Its always been a experience but then all it takes is one horrible customer service situation to take away all your affinity for a service business. Ryan, working today, is one of the rudest and most uncaring customer service people I have ever encountered. Bought $ 1000 worth of tires from the guy. After installing tires he showed me I would have issues if I didn’t buy new cheesy aftermarket wheels from him. Upon leaving, every warning light in my car went off. I returned later to have it checked out and he refused despite my having bought extended warranties on the tires. He could not have been less helpful. When I next return to this location I really hope that his behavior has caught up with him and that he is no longer employed by Discount Tires. He simply doesn’t belong in what is normally a great company.

I’ve been using discount tire for about 8 years now on three different vehicles and I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience yet. Prompt service and very professional.
The tire warranty/​certificates have literally saved me thousands of dollars as well, if you have low profile tires in Texas you need a tire warranty.
The only thing I wish they had was nitrogen to the fill the tires, other than that I never need another tire shop.

Before coming here, I went to another tire shop in the area. They tried to take advantage of me and charge me over $ 600 for 4 new tires. I came here to have a flat fixed. They showed me my tires and on my car where a bolt was broken. They couldn’t fix my tires without the bolt being fixed. Sadly they aren’t able to do that here but referred me to a place next door which did it for $ 20. Came back and they set me up with a lifetime warranty and 4 new tires for $ 420. The price is reasonable, the service is great, and they won’t take advantage of you. Will be back with our other car in the future.

Came to Discount Tire Center to have a flat patched up. I knew my tread was good going in, so I was pleased that they didn’t try to sell me a new set of tires. The staff was very friendly, & I was told it would take less than 30 minutes to get the job done — it only took 20. He suggested I go next door to El Pollo Regio to grab a quick bite to eat, and it was a wise call. Fter lunch, I walked up to pay for my patch job, and was told it was free. That was unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. All in all a great experience.

I’ve been here twice and both times were totally positive. The staff is quick to help you out and solve whatever problem you may have. Its extremely affordable and they even offer free air in your tires if you just happen to be running low! I will definitely bring my business here again.

Car maintenance is one of the banes of my adult life. Each time I see that tire pressure light turn on, I immediately switch to panic mode — «Do I have a leak?» «Will I make it to work without blowing out?» «Is it just the cold weather?» «What if it turns flat?» Luckily, Discount Tire has been a life-​saver for the (surprisingly) many times I’ve had that happen to me. Since my husband buys tires from this place, they service us for free — from slow leaks due to running over a nail to having our tires pumped up on those freezing days. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I’ve never felt like the wait was too long. They also have a large waiting area with comfy chairs, coffee, and water. They make tire maintenance the best experience possible… as long as I can make it there before my tire flattens!

Stopped in here after I got a flat and had to put the donut on. All the guys here are so very nice, and they seem to really enjoy their jobs– running around with smiles on their faces (=
The tire that was flat was destroyed internally, and they concluded that the other front tire was shot as well. This is believable, because both tires were always needing air. They got me in faster than expected so that was nice!
Giving only 4 stars because the price they gave me was $ 30 more than it should have been– I asked them why and he said their road hazard package was included. I declined that and the price went back down to what was expected. Upsales are just a part of their business, so be sure to have them read off your bill before you agree to it.

All the staff are friendly & always smiling, ready to help. Chris helped me find the right tires with the rebate I wanted ;). I had already done my research online and had a specific brand and style in mind but unfortunately it wasn’t available, not even in their warehouse. Chris found some that were cheaper (still name brand though) and ordered them; they arrived the same day but I couldn’t leave work so I made an appt for the next morning. I walked right in & they started on my car immediately (I was 10 min early). They finished installing all 4 tires in 20 minutes! I will never go anywhere else again!

What can I say? This location has always come through for me and service is always with a smile. Further, they are as efficient as they can be from what I’ve seen. The staff is fairly no nonsense, hasn’t tried to upsell me on anything, fixes my flats for free, and they’ve always been courteous.
Hope you’re not wanting to turn left back onto Northwest Highway, though. That’s a pain. Cut over to the Pollo Regio drive-​thru exit so you can turn right onto NW Hwy and then U-​turn it. Much easier unless you find a magic opening in traffic.
