DFW M’Antiques

I like the idea of cool old stuff and free beer. Some of the stuff was definitely cool. I got no beer. There was a prominently displayed Nazi flag– not really just selling Nazi stuff, but showing it to the world. In addition, there were «whites only» type signs over the exit. My ancestors (Americans) fought against the Nazi’s and what they stood for. In addition, I’m as white as white gets, but– the racists signs? not cool.

Mike wanted to check this place out, and for him, this place was 5 stars. I don’t collect anything, antiques or junk, so just 3 stars for me. It was fun walking through and seeing a lot of stuff from my younger years, but this just doesn’t interest me. There is plenty to see, and you need to come check it out at least once. It’s a man thing!

If you enjoy shopping for old, unusual, or rare items you will love this place! Good variety, fair prices. The guys gave me a hard time for wearing an «antique archeology» T shirt. Then they gave me a free T for their shop. Ended up buying a furniture piece that I had been seeking for a long time. You could spend a couple hours easy!

THEY SELL NAZI ITEMS. THEY PROFIT FROM GENOCIDE. If I could give a negative rating I would. Everyone raves about this place, so I finally went. Imagine my surprise when I waked in and found an huge display case full of nazi stuff. These aren’t antiques, they’re symbols of genocide. I’m offended, disgusted, and shocked that they have the gall to profit from the murder of tens of millions of innocent lives. Shame on you!!!

Biking down a back alley M’antiques fashion junk yard shined like a tidy Sanford and Sons outlet for male hipsters.
I always assumed M’antiques was a funky men’s retailer «Man Antiques», but although the vibe is rustic and quirky over cute, it’s basically a sort of musty vintage garage sale with decent prices.
Old action figures, neon beer clocks, juke boxes and even a mineral collection, seemed more on the masculine side, but there were plenty of antique wood furnishings at a good price that would appeal to any gender.
Old glass bottles, dated yearbooks, and a large vintage Pez collection veer on the fun and quirky, providing a fun gift or a cache for
edgey artsy house décor.
Not one salesman was in sight which added to the back woods scavenger element.

If your like me and really dig «cool old stuff», turn off that Great American Pickers episode your watching, get your ass over to, MAntiques and Neat Stuff, Bishop Arts and live a little.
On my first visit here, I spent an hour that felt like minutes, browsing through the coolest old gadgets, trinkets, furniture, signs, and more.
The store offers self serve complimentary beer out of a restored old side bar, which makes for a refreshing browse through his extensive inventory. The shelving units, the walls, and backyard are bursting with every category you can think of, even parts of cars and missiles, vintage neon signs and snazzy bowties, etc, etc, etc.
Something, if not a billion things at once will capture your attention at every turn.
People know about him, so inventory does move, making «room» (somehow) for what I gather is an arsenol of excellent condition time capsules of history.
The owner is a sweetheart that truely cares about his customers. He will gladly talk with you about an item, or the weather just the same.

You will find it just past Davis and Bishop on the left with a ‘like new’ condition 40’s Ford Pick up, his daily driver.

Antiques for men. Real men. Men who still use flat bladed razors, 23 channel CB radios, and hose-​end spigots. Chuck Norris shops here when he’s feeling manly enough.
Prices seem negotiable, and sometimes there’s free beer at the counter. Get some.

M’antiques. Manly antiques. Pretty cool concept, but in this case I can’t say it was well executed. I’m a big fan of antique stores and I have no problem wading through consignment booths of tchotchke crap, so this place made me feel right at home in that regard. My only real «problem» is the layout. It’s not a huge store but it’s crammed with stuff which makes navigating the poorly segmented booths difficult and I kept worrying I was going to bump into something and end up paying out the nose for some dusty statue of a naked lady I just broke.
Inventory wise, it’s pretty fun and certainly caters to the tastes of men. You want an old taxidermied bear? They got that. You want a cane with an ivory jaguar head. They got that too. You want a free cup of self-​serve beer when you come in? Duh. You want some Nazi memorabilia? Yea. They also have that.
Price wise I would have to say it’s kinda high. Not that I know a ton about antiques, but I did recognize things in there I had found elsewhere with a lower price tag. Could be that the neighborhood influences the pricing, or the fact that as far as I know, it’s the only antique shop in the area so they can price stuff out however the hell they want.
Basically DFW M’Antiques is your grandpa’s attic — dusty, smells like tobacco, and full of all manner of bullshit to decorate your study or man sanctuary. I just wish it were better curated.

Such an amazing collection of nostalgia and antiques! I could have easily blown my paycheck at this place, so be warned! You won’t really find a deal here, but you’ll get a chance to score some beautiful vintage swag. Oh and the proprietor has a kegorator in the back to serve cold beer to the thirsty masses. Pretty sweet!

Awesome shop, wild shopping experience. You could seriously browse here for hours and never stop finding weird, interesting new (or actually, old!) oddities to enjoy. They have a hidden little drawer marked «Nudes», full of pinups from the 1940s. They have a room full of army fatigues. They have taxidermy and typewriters and old mystery novels. And the owners make the browsing experience all the more enjoyable by offering you free Lone Star on tap when you walk in! Also 10% off a $ 50 purchase when you check in. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

A few months ago, me and my buddy were driving around looking for something to do. We came across this place and stopped to check it out. Man were we blown away! There is so much cool things at this place! Old tonka trucks, all kinds of vintage signs, tons of old playboys, old school barber shop stuff, tools, books, vending machines, you name it they have it! Plus, the 2 guys there were AWESOME! Even though they were very busy, they were very helpful and willing answer our questions. I can’t wait to have a chance to drop by again. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to other guys.

You’re gonna get an extra star right off the bat when you get handed a free coldie as soon as you walk in the door. We always enjoy a good rummage through the wares at M’Antiques. Last time we were there I scooped up some great vinyl for $ 5 a pop. This time we didn’t buy anything but we did take my folks in who were in town for the weekend and they had a blast as well. The selection seems to be growing, but just like any other store like this its always fluctuating. I think if they want to keep it interesting and things circulating prices might need to be adjusted. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great things, but I would like to try and bring things home with me… prices are a bit much. It doesn’t detour us, at least not yet. Another Bishop Arts staple.

I feel like this place has potential. I haven’t written it off yet, because as is the nature of these types of stores, inventory revolves and changes. Sometimes the quality of offerings will be better than others.
This was a time it wasn’t so great, in my opinion. I guess I was expecting a little more like the American Pickers, if I may be so crass and silly as to say that. I found it to be a bit more like someone went into my grandpa’s garage and decided to sell the contents.
I found a few things that were interesting, but I did not purchase because the price was too high. $ 75 for a short, small clay container (I intended to plant my cats’ wheat grass in it, strangely enough, to make myself sound like a crazy cat snooty lady). A rather ugly shade of green, but perfect for the intended application. I think it was worth more like $ 30 – 40, as there were no markings or anything to make it special. I’m always willing to haggle, but I’m not going to argue to half the price.
I’ll come back in a few months when the inventory has had time to rotate.

Was a bit underwhelmed. Figured this would be a bit more curated since it was geared towards men, but really seemed just another junk shop with less lace. Maybe my expectations were a little too high.

–1 for pricing… it’s a little high.
–1 for the yelling between coworkers. I could tell this was something that should have been in private, and was really uncomfortable because I was trying to ask for a price. Boo Hiss yelling man! Unprofessional!
So…where am I at? 3 stars! A-​OK M’Antiques.

In attempt to forgo my usual weekend hunting of craft beer we stopped in…
We decided to pop into M’Antiques on our way to Chicken Scratch. I’d driven by this place numerous times before but never ventured in. Im very happy to say we finally did!
On your way in they greet you with a cold Miller High Life, not my usual libation of choice but hey it’s free!
Very solid sales tactic! I immediately felt like I should buy something haha.
We found a few great treasures here, I was even able to knock a future Christmas gift out of the way for my Dad In-​Law. Quite a good range of pieces, some priced high, some pretty affordable.
The guy up front, Jason I think? Was really enjoyable to chat with. We will definitely be back.

Great antique shop! The fam and I had a great time walking around this male-​centric shop. Hubs and Dad had a great time looking around, and Mom and I enjoyed it as well. It was entertaining to watch the guys be fascinated with items that we had no clue what they were. While you’re not going to find flowery vases or china, there are still really cool gender-​generic pieces scatted throughout — so ladies, don’t just wait outside! Check it out! They had a small outdoor selection, and we found a cool piece for our balcony. Score!
Also, who can resist the free beer? Walk in towards the cash register, and there’s a fridge full of complimentary beer. Nice!
