Our products contain 100% plant oils that are non-​GMO, organic and sustainable. Our products are Never Animal Tested, Environmentally Safe and Contain Omega 3+6 fatty acids. We use great oils: Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Sunflower Oil, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil and Steam Distilled Essential Oils. We are a socially responsible business. Above all we make our products without using harsh chemicals.

History

Established in 2014.

We started in Deep Ellum Dallas, Texas. We are big on eating healthy, but when we learned that a large percentage of what you put on your skin is absorbed into your body; we were concerned. Our first question was what’s in our body products? The answer we found was very alarming. We found aluminum, sulfates, diethanolamine and other toxic stuff. So we decided it was time to make a switch. Once we did our research, we found that it was really hard to find truly healthy bath and body products. We searched but found even in the health food stores and grocers the products stilled contained a chemical fragrance or some chemical we were trying to get away. Even some of the leading brands would not include the ingredients used, which is a red flag to me. So we decided to make it ourselves. We told our friends and family about what we did and they wanted to try it too. Soon we had to start charging because it became too expensive to continue giving it away.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Christine has had a career working for fortune 500 companies as an account manager. She first visited Deep Ellum with her Father at the age of 5. Since then she has been coming back to see the art, music and eat at the amazing local restaurants. Now as a resident of Deep Ellum she keeps it local by doing everything in a mile radius. She made the decision to get away from all the toxic chemical found in bath and body products around 2011. After some research she found that the bath and body products available, even at the health food grocery stores, still had toxic chemicals. As a result, she decided to make her own with all the amazing ingredients she always wanted, while keeping out all the toxic chemicals. Friends and family caught on and Deep Soaps was born.
