Overwhelming experience for the first time. Wanted to buy everything and lost track that I needed kids clothes lol… Overall the people at the market was super nice. There were a few kids store that were sadly rise but maybe they are from LA it’s expected. This place truly has everything you need and then some.

For a Market — it’s logically organized(compared to others) for the buyer to navigate and the showrooms are beautiful. Ease of access to/from airports and hotels. From ease of registration, badges, the miles of trekking within, organized bus transportation to/from host hotels, along with Starbucks and restaurants to partake in — great place and worth ones time. The only 3 things that could be improved upon: 1). I found It pretty odd and I’m sorry, disgusting… that few buyers brought their little toy dogs to market and let them roam around like its a park… Oy vey… 2). The glass elevators were pretty, but totally useless. 3). I’ve been to many Markets across the U.S. — it would be extremely beneficial to the Buyers if each showroom provided a handout of the lines carried, terms, ++. This would allow your clients to hit and ground running and maximize what they’re there to do(along with having a hard copy for future reference and ease of repeat orders)

The International Gem and Bead Show was a candy store for artisans. I was overwhelmed at the variety of gems and materials to choose from. This show is triple in size to the ones that come to South Florida.

The parking lot is… kind of odd. The spaces are REALLY tight, so don’t drive your big SUV, k? As a result, oftentimes people take up two spots, either on purpose or due to terrible parking skills. once you are inside, the venue is good for conventions. Bathrooms are clean, if not exactly well-signed to find at a distance. There is always a food vendor that has good food available and bottled water. Wear comfy shoes, because that floor is murder with all that walking! The AC has a really hard time keeping up with crowds, even with moderately warm weather, let alone Texas summer heat. So dress comfortably and cool and bring water. I love the variety of trade shows they have here.

The Gift & Home show is the place to go if you are a boutique owner. So many apparel, shoe, and accessory brands to choose from. If you are not able to arrive early, plan on a 30 minute delay to park off-site and wait for the shuttle buses. Don’t forget to check out the Cash ‘n Carry section for smaller purchases.

I was here for the fabric trade show. It was a great experience and I made many new contacts. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes, because there is lots of walking. All the shops have very courteous people. And if you are there during a special event there is usually free food and drinks.

I was here for the apparel trade show promoting my clothing company, , and what an awesome experience! This place is huge and filled with a Narnia closets worth of clothes, gifts, shoes, people and just all around stuff. I have not been to any other trade shows so I do not know what to compare it to. But I feel that everything was in order and I had no situations where there poor planning became my problem. They were very accommodating and Ms. Linda Waldrop was an amazing coordinator!!!

Dallas Market Center is THE place to hold or attend huge expos, conventions, festivals, etc. Almost every weekend, this place is hustlin’ and bustlin’ with some sort of show to fit a different lifestyle. Almost anything and everything has had an event here. Remodeling or building a home and need to look at samples? Then come to one of the many home and garden shows during the year. Did you just get engaged? Then the bridal fair is your bag. Or for the manly men, the boat show will tickle for fancy for speedy watercrafts. This weekend, I hear there’s a women’s expo in town. Makeup and jewelry time, ladies! If you’ve got a soft spot for free samples, then you *definitely* will want to come out here when a show is in town. Just like a Costco on a Saturday, vendors are out here handing out freebies… I’ve seen raffles, food, demonstrations and all kinds of sweet deals out here. The space is huge and open, lots of natural light, and hey… the bathrooms are even clean! Do I sound like a commercial for DMC yet? :)
