History

Established in 2000.

Started in October of 2000 by Paul VanMeter and Pat Thompson co-​found Colo4 (known then as Colo4Dallas), and in July 2010 Colo4 was acquired by Cequel Data Centers, LLC.

In 2009 Colo4 completed an expansion 30,000 sq. ft. of new data center space, and added a DWDM network connection to the INFOMART.

Also in 2009 President and CTO Paul VanMeter named a finalist in the Tech Titans Awards presented by the Metroplex Technology Business Council.

Colo4 was named a winner of Dallas 100™ Award by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
