CityVet – Addison

I cant thank City Vet and Dr Dennis enough for helping my little Schnauzer make a remarkable recovery… I took my dog to Banfield where they wanted to put him down. I did not feel very comfortable with that Vet’s diagnosis or the staff there so I brought him here. Dr Dennis took the time to give him a full exam and provide me a Px for the correct meds to get him feeling well. Neemo is eating again and walking on his own. Although he is an old dog, it wasnt his time to go. Thank you again for saving my little guy and giving me a little more time with him. I highly recommend CityVet for anyone out there looking for excellent, quality care.

When moving to a new area, one of the many new relationships a person with a pet must establish is one with a Vet. Of course the first place I turned to was my friends on Unilocal for suggestions. CityVet was local and had great reviews, I was hesitant about the possibility of a lacking of personalized service because it seemed like a chain vs a local Vet. When I brought my little guy in for shots, I was pleased with Dr. Dennis and the recommendations she made based on his size and my fears were alleviated. He’s a tiny guy and one size treatment does not fit all!
I adopted my little man from a rescue organization and the majority of his vaccines, neuter, and microchip were covered in the adoption fee. CityVet has a puppy plan that includes vaccines, neuter/​spay, and unlimited visits in the first year. It sounds like a great plan for a new puppy or kitten. I declined as I think the cost in the end will likely be higher for me, although unlimited vet visits does seem compelling. The services, food, and medications are competitively priced, so I don’t feel overburdened.
Some of the other locations have day care and non-​medical boarding, I wish the Addison location did.

My go to Vet! They are always very helpful. I get my Labs food here, prices are great and they don’t have you pay for unnecessary things.

CityVet is nothing short of phenomenal! We have been taking our little Pug Winston here since the day we got him as a puppy!
The whole staff here adores him, and Dr. Dennis has been exceedingly helpful with any concerns or problems he has experienced! Patricia who works the front desk is exceptionally helpful, pleasant, and friendly! Her and Winston are best friends and he can’t wait to see her whenever we go!
Most dogs hate going to the vet, but Winston loves it here! We take him in for health services as well as monthly baths, nail trims, and the dreaded anal glands.
Fortunately Winston hasn’t had any serious health problems but I feel confident that he would be in capable hands with Dr. Dennis and her team. They did a fantastic job on his neuter and he recovered even faster that expected.
Overall I cannot speak more highly of this place and I am so glad we chose them for our pup. If you want to commit and give your dog the best, I highly recommend their care plans which cover all the annual shots and services as well as provide unlimited free office visits.

Dr Dennis is awesome– she always calls and personally follows up on Izzie. She’s very sweet and caring. They always manage to get us in quickly and they take their time with my girl.

I love CityVet!!! I came a few months ago when my feline friend, Isabelle, was telling me she was sick by peeing in places she had no business peeing on. It was anywhere but her box. Isabelle had the same issue the year before. Took her to a vet down the road and felt I got the shaft and nothing really helped her. It was more of a temporary fix and then it came back. The vet I went to previously didnt do as much as Dr. Dennis and her team. I just felt like they were upselling me on things she might not need. I didnt get an education on how to prevent this in the future.
Come to find out… Isabelle had bladder stones. I assume she was able to pass them the last time… but they creeped back up. Could be a few things… so I put her back on the special vet food to encourage her to drink more water. Dr. Dennis kept her on that diet because I have reason to suspect it was the food I was feeding her. They have a feline package that includes her shots… vet visits… and even discounts on services and food. The membership has paid for itself a few times. I may spend $ 60.00 each time I go to buy her food… but it is a big savings if I were to buy it anywhere else… like at other pet retailers… it would be about 100+. Her Rx diet will last me almost 3 months… and i would rather pay the premium instead of her having to be in pain.
I feel Dr. Dennis and her team truly do love animals and want to make sure they are well taken care of. I have been to several vets with Isabelle and felt at ease once I was here. They took me in knowing I had to come from Southlake (where i work)…to my apartment in North Dallas… to CityVet… in rush hour traffic with a screaming cat in a kennel. They were so sweet and I was a hot mess when I walked in the door!!! Not rude… but stressed from the traffic and making it on time. Now Isabelle is happily peeing in her litter box… and has been much happier ever since coming to CityVet. I have Dr. Dennis and everyone to thank! Will bring her here even when I move from the area. Love this place!!!

I visited here for the first time about a week ago as a new client. I filled out an appointment request online and they called back within the day. I was extremely impressed! The staff are very friendly and they seem to really enjoy their jobs. They were all really excited to see my dog and made both him and I feel very welcome. The vet seemed very knowledgeable, and the service was great. The waiting area and examination rooms were well cleaned, and the attached pet store was very well organized. I will definitely recommend this to my friends!

I was absolutely blown away by the service I received here.
I called this morning because my poor little feline buddy Moose has a tapeworm, and they were able to fit me in this afternoon. When we arrived the girl at the front, Mackenzie, greeted us warmly (and greeted Moose by his name!) We only had to wait a minute or two before Jaime brought us out back and got us started. She was very friendly and personable, and she was great with our cat. After a little while Dr. Dennis joined us and she was equally as friendly. They both clearly love what they do and genuinely care about animals. I usually dread having to make a trip to the vet because every one that I’ve been to before has tried to sell me everything they possibly could, but that wasn’t the case here at City Vet and I was so pleasantly surprised. Dr. Dennis went over her recommendations on what we need and was great at explaining why we should do certain things without being pushy. They put quality care first instead of other offices where upselling is clearly the main priority. On our way out to the parking lot Jaime held the door for us and that really sealed the deal for me. I can’t imagine ever going to a different vet after the compassion that everyone we came in contact with there showed us today.
And beyond all of that, City Vet’s prices are unbeatable. For a checkup, a dose of Revolution, and the prescription for the tapeworm issue we were charged under $ 90. My wallet definitely appreciated that!

City Vet was recommended to me by a friend and I’m happy I went. It’s been a while since I’ve had a puppy so I wasn’t familiar about what they needed medically. My pup was throwing up and I needed him to be seen but I had to work. I called and they were very understanding, friendly and clear about what to do. I was able to drop him off and pick him up after work. They were clear about pricing the entire time and didn’t push me to have any unnecessary services. I also appreciated them giving me a call midday to explain what was recommended, why, and what my options were. Overall a very pleasant experience.

My dog just turned one at the beginning of this month. We have been clients at CityVet Addison since Nico (my dog) was seven weeks old, and I don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Dennis and her incredible staff.
For the Complete Puppy Package you get all of the necessary vaccinations, rabies, spay /​neutering, and free examinations anytime you might think your puppy needs medical attention. All at $ 425 for the year. You can’t get more competent and compassionate attention for your puppy at a better price (trust me, I looked)! My dog is slightly ridiculous (she has to eat specialized dog food and probiotics in order to not explode everywhere all the time), so the complete puppy care package has paid for itself this year.
But it’s not only the prices and the quality of care that makes CityVet Addison the place that you want to take your pet. Let me tell you a story about just how awesome the people at this CityVet location are.
So, a couple of months ago, we found this dog roaming around the apartment complex. He was a great dog, but he had no collar on. We figured he had to belong to someone because he was so well behaved and loving. Usually, CityVet Addison closes at 6 or 7pm. I called about 5 minutes before they closed (I live about 15 minutes away) and told them about this dog I found. They stayed open for us so we could bring the dog in and have him scanned for a microchip. He was chipped! I spent the next couple of days searching for the owners. I couldn’t find them. The City of Carrollton couldn’t find them. The vet where he was registered couldn’t get a hold of them. We figured he had been abandoned and his medical records showed that he had no vaccine updates within the last year. So, I took him back to CityVet to get him vaccinated and tested.
Dr. Dennis was out that day, so one of the other veterinarians, Dr. Johnston, took care of us. She was amazing, too! We started calling the dog Thor. Thor had an incredibly dangerous ear infection as well as a skin infection on his paw. We got him medication and began the healing process.
Just as I was getting used to the idea of Thor being around for a while, I got a call from a random number. As it turns out, Thor wasn’t abandoned. He just had highly incompetent owners. It was difficult for me to see Thor go home. While I was (and am) happy that his family was found (the two little boys in the family must have missed him greatly), I am none too pleased with their irresponsible method of dog ownership.
The techs at CityVet were there for me during the entire process. They really cared and called to check up on Thor. They even called his family to make sure that the ear infection was clearing up.
The people at CityVet knew that this was a difficult process for me, and they cared. They sent me a card thanking me for being a good pet owner. They also sent me gift cards for their CityVet CityPet store. It was and is nice to know that the people at CityVet are not only there for my dog, but they are there for me, too, as a person.
I cannot say enough good things about CityVet Addison. If you want quality care and compassion for you and your pet, this is the place to go.

I haven’t even been to this place yet but I’m in the customer service business and just thought I would share. I had called 4 places before this one to see if they had availability for puppy shots today and all sounded like they had just woken up and because it was day of, no availability. When I called here, Patricia sounded energized and happy to be at work. While they didn’t have availability, she immediately told me about the puppy package with the finance option along with other helpful tips for my pup until They could get me in next Saturday. I don’t know if these things reach the store managers but kudos to her for selling me something that I would not have got if she hadn’t told me about it. Excited to go in next weekend with my little guy!

I can not say enough about this place. My dog fell off my bed and she was unconscious with nothing but a heart beat and very little breathing. She was rushed here as it is was the closest vet to my home. Dr. Johnston and staff were amazing. They even happened to see us pull up and a staff member came out got her and took her strait back. Dr. Johnston kept in contact with me through the whole process and assured me that she was going to do the best she could. My little baby is now doing perfect. Thank you so much Dr. Johnston and staff!!!

Friendly and helpful staff. They always promptly greet me when I walk in. They’re also very diligent about calling me back when they say they will.
Very clean and bright office. Vet techs and the vet are nice and friendly.
We bought the puppy care package. The fee was reasonable. They have an option for you to pay monthly as well.

Love this place! The staff and doctors are so friendly! They remember my dog every time we go and it really puts me at ease. Great service and it really pays off to join their membership group! Who doesn’t love saving money on food and supplies? They also deliver pet meds!

I am so happy I brought my dogs to this place! The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I have now taken my dogs in for both grooming and vet care. The groomer did a wonderful job on my Shih Tzu; I could not be happier. Dr. Dennis took the time with both my animals and took the time to answer all my questions. Very wonderful service provided here.

They are really friendly and good to my dogs. I would recommend them.

This place is over the top great! I enjoyed taking my dog here. The nurses were friendly and Dr. Dennis was fantastic with my baby girl. I didn’t have any second guesses coming here after the fact and would recommend it to anyone! :) 5 stars in my book

I dont do m (any) reviews, but I have to rave about this place. Great quality (and quick) service with an excellent friendly and caring staff. Came in on a Saturday as a walk-​in to get my little pup her first round of vaccinations. Expected to wait around for a couple hours, but they worked me right in. I was in and out in less than an hour. I signed up for the full puppy package (includes all vaccinations and office visits for the year, and includes getting her spayed in a few months) and it’s only $ 35/​month so it’s easy to budget.

I just think this place is wonderful. The people, the doctor, the facility and the products available to purchase.
Each visit they make me feel like my dog, Jake’s, well being is so important. The Dr always takes her time and is great at breaking things down sonI understand them.
I have a mature lab and I know difficult decisions are ahead for us. I am grateful to have a place to help me work my way through those decisions and who are knowledgeable about my options.

I looked up this location after using the Uptown location in the past. This one is on the way to work currently and I am moving to Addison soon. They practice similarly to the Uptown location with early hours and allowing me to drop off my pet and get info I need over the phone and pick up after work. This saves time when you don’t live and work nearby. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure I didn’t get the kitten fixed too soon in his little life. THey also have a kitten package that will get me everything I need for him while saving some money.
There is plenty of parking and the office isn’t packed and busy. I definitely plan to make this my main vet and will be back.
