My husband and I come here to buy injera, basic ethiopian spices, condiments and phonecards. The injera is okay. The pasty bread is really delicious. Its like a fried irregular donut. Also they have great selection of ethiopian bread. They also sell food to go which I haven’t tried but someday I will.

It’s probably not a place you want to sit and dine in. With a less-than-extravagant appearance in a less-than-desirable neighborhood, the outside leaves much to the imagination. Still the food speaks for itself. And that’s what we’re all looking for, right? Kitfo(ground beef) that you can get terey(seasoned but raw)/ lebleb(sauted and seasoned), tibs(spicy beef stir fry) and others are available upon request. Do not expect a written menu because they don’t have one. The food is good and authentic, but I don’t recommend this for people who may be first timers with Ethiopian cuisine. The customer service, ambiance and lack of a menu may be a bit of a turn off or cause confusion if you are unsure of what to expect. If that doesn’t seem to phase you, go ahead and check it out! They also have a market complete with various tea spices, breads, beaded jewelry and other odds and ends of most typical Ethiopian markets. It’s a cool experience that is about as close to visiting to Addis Ababa as you can get living in the heart of Dallas.
