Description

Specialties

Dr. Michael is board certified in neurological surgery and performs surgery for a wide range of conditions of the brain and spine. «My practice is very personal in nature,» Dr. Michael says. «I tailor treatments that are as individual as my patients’ needs. I take a very patient-centered, conservative approach so patients don’t waste time on treatments they don’t need and can focus on a faster, more efficient recovery.»

Minimally-invasive spine surgery, such as outpatient treatment of lumbar and cervical herniated discs, is among Dr. Michael’s surgical specialties. His expertise also include complex spine reconstruction surgery, microsurgery for tumors of the brain and spine, trigeminal neuralgia, and endoscopic pituitary surgery. He has an active radiosurgery practice as well. Metastatic and primary brain tumors, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, and trigeminal neuralgia are among the conditions Dr. Michael can treat with radiosurgery.
