Carlos & Parnell MD PA

Good visit

I have now made Dr. Wendy Parnell my Ob/​Gyn. I have had two appointments, and at both we was very pleasant and informative. The staff have been nothing but nice and polite to me, as well. I’m glad that I chose this practice for my healthcare needs.
Logistical notes:
— You will have to circle around the back of the hospital and go through a security gate to get to the practice. You will have to pay $ 2 for parking on the way out.
— After heading down two flights of stairs outside, you will need to ride the elevator up to the 5^th floor to get to the office, so give yourself enough time for that.

Dr Wendy Parnell is awesome! Very easy to talk to and very informative. She really shows that she cares, and have awesome suggestions! The nurse was great as well, she was quick and pleasant. Front staff were very friendly and helpful! Everyone in the office have been superb professionals during my visit! Two things though… You have to pay for parking and they only accept cash or check… It was a little hard to find because it wasn’t part of the main ‘medical center’.

Transitioning out of a fancy Obgyn practice that was covered by my previous employer’s PPO, I was initially very scared to go to the Carlos & Parnell practice which actually accepted my Obamacare HMO.
Dr. Diaz was stellar for my first appointment. I was not only impressed by her medical professionalism but also her compassion for the other side of the office, that is – how we’re all going to pay for these services! Today’s ins and outs of health care are so complex and the office of Carlos & Parnell is willing to work with you.
So far, I feel comfortable going here for my yearly well woman. Could actually see myself delivering a baby with these folks!

Dr. Diaz is great

I have been going to Dr. W. Parnell for over 14 yrs and can’t imagine going anywhere else. When I was «with little one», as is customary in a group practice, you are seen once by each doctor in case of emergency. Well, even though I was upset at the time, another doctor DID end up delivering my Jazzy. It didn’t matter, though, because Dr. Parnell was there first thing in the morning. Well visits are a breeze and the entire office staff is just wonderful to work with. They have the latest administrative technology, so your doctor speak his commentary into the computer while you are both in the examining room. By the way, there is another Dr. Parnell in the office — Dr. Parnell’s daughter! If you are not comfortable with a male OB Gyn, then you could visit her or Dr. Diaz.

I just moved into town, and tried to schedule my annual exam based on the positive reviews here. While the receptionist was very polite, she pretty much wanted all my information up front before she would even schedule the exam. My health insurance company has stayed the same but I know the group number changed, and didn’t have it with me at the time (I haven’t received my new cards yet), but could bring it with me to the appointment. So I pretty much gave my name, address, phone number, emergency contact, SSN to this woman before she was like, «Oh we need all this other stuff you don’t have before we can make the appointment.» What gives? She didn’t even recognize my Fortune 500 employer.

I’ve been using Dr. Parnell as my OB/​GYN for almost ten years now. He and his staff (and everyone I’ve every encountered at this office) are very professional, caring and extremely friendly and warm. You can’t ask for any better than these folks deliver. Dr. Parnell is the absolutely the very best OB/​GYN I’ve been to in over 32 years, and that’s saying a lot.!! I really trust this doctor with my health and he genuinely cares about his patients. You know how sometimes you go to a doctor, and they never even touch you, but write prescriptions? That’s not happening here! I had some issues and needed surgery. Dr. Parnell once again delivered me the very best care in the hospital too. I totally trust him as my surgeon. You just can’t go wrong with these pure professionals!

Dr. Carlos is my doctor and he is fantastic! Dr. Diaz delivered my baby and she is just as great. Very friendly staff.

Sometimes going to the doctor’s office can be a nerve racking experience. I have been going to Dr. Carlos for the past two years and he is the best doctor I have ever had. He takes time to listen to you, get to know you, and offer suggestions.
ALL of the office staff is professional and courteous. If you are looking for a practice near Medical City, this is the place to go.

When my job changed, so did my insurance and that means switching up some doctors in my life. This was actually ridiculously painless in all medical areas. To get a little «ahem» intimate, every lady needs a good lady doctor. With a chance phone call, I stumbled on the office of Carlos and Parnell. Dr. J. Carlos is such a nice man and you can tell he really cares about each of his patients! While some people may be embarrassed to have a man for a lady doctor, he is a true pro and very polite. He literally sat down and spoke with me for half an hour about something completely unrelated to my exam that I was having health concerns over and he also talked to me about my future. Even though he had been at the hospital since 3:30 in the, morning delivering a baby, he still answered all my hypochondriac crazed questions. The entire staff is sweet and very friendly. They always have a ton of things to talk about and they are all so sweet. They were also able to schedule me for an appointment within 24 hours of me calling to ask if they were accepting new patients. That’s nearly unheard of. They also use an online new patient admittance form so you don’t have to fill out a stack of papers and waste time at your first visit. I highly recommend any of the doctors at this practice; I think they’re all a great experience and informed team. And yes, bring cash. Parking costs you since it’s at Medical City!

The entire staff at Carlos and Parnell is AMAZING!!! They are so friendly and welcoming. I went to Dr. Monica Diaz for about 1.5 years.
Dr Diaz is patient, knowledgeable, trust-​worthy, friendly, warm, welcoming, I just can’t say enough good things about her! I sadly moved to Houston and can no longer go to her office. When I moved, I did get lots of helpful recommendations for a new doctor in Houston.
Nurses, doctors, admin, etc. all knew me by name. Everyone greets you and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. I once took a friend here and she commented on how friendly everyone at this office is.
If you are looking for a OB-​GYN in Dallas, I highly recommend this office. There is parking out in front of the office building for about $ 2 – 3 (cash or check only), valet is more. It’s usually pretty easy to get an appointment.

I saw Dr. Monica Diaz here and she was fantastic. I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within days, fairly short wait to see her, and she was very personable, informative, and most importantly, knowledgable. I would make her my permanent obgyn but sadly, I’ve moved.
