Nice modern venue and decent food but piss poor service. From the host to the servers and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Very lethargic workers and you have to ask multiple times for things. I saw them bring out enchiladas to the lady next to me and the cheese wasn’t even melted, just shredded cold cheese on top of her enchiladas, what?! LAZY.

Aweful. I ordered the cheese quesadillas and it was pretty close to a cold can of Hormel from Walmart. Also ordered the queso and chips… Would have been just sub standard if I was at a 5 year old birthday party but for a «Mexican Restaurant» I don’t think I should be served powdered or Velveeta cheese. Not a huge fan of beans so I won’t rate those but the rice was just as bad as everything else. Tasted like it came out of the microwave. Salsa was good, they had a mild(served cold) and a medium(served hot). As some other posts have said, they have chargers on the tables so it’s a plus if your electronics are dying with a full day of flights.

So setting aside the fact that this restaurant is in the airport and the prices are a bit absurd, this place is meh. I came for lunch because I had plenty of time to kill before my flight. Was seated immediately, however the service was inconsistent. A man came in after me and was also seated immediately and the staff immediately brought him chips and salsa and took his drink order. I sat there having spoke to no one for about 10 min before someone came and talked to me. I got the beef tacos, they were fine, that’s where it starts and stops. The one thing I really hated though is that the silverware is plastic, please get real silverware!

One of the best salads I’ve ever had! The cilantro chicken salad was colorful, filled with spinach, beat greens, red lettuce& roasted peppers. Don’t let the initial look fool you, there’s plenty of chicken and black beans on the bottom of the greens! Service was excellent Hagin was a delight to chat with at the bar and had the waitresses refills ready before they even came up– Attentive! You can’t judge an airport restaurant by the prices cause they’re damn near the same everywhere you go but $ 1 for an awesome salad is a good deal no matter where you’re at. Plus they have plenty of other Mexican options to choose from.

Short pours by Kevin, lack of personality, top shelf Margarita uses bar brand triple sec. REALLY?! On the other hand, I observed, Sergio with correct pours.. Sergio bothered to ask how food was, ignored by kevin. General lack of luster here at airport, guess they think we are not coming bsck… Had to ask for the free chips n salsa Met Kevin, mgr, who heard about my comments and stopped by and asked what he could do… thank you Kevin. Got my bill, and Sergio had my appetizer removed. General opinion… it is a captive audience but don’t expect awesome customer bar service unless Sergio is there. He gets it!

We had a very polite and considerate server. She made sure we always had drinks and kept checking in with us also. I loved the simple chicken tortilla soup, good flavor and the tortilla strips gave it a nice crunch. My husband ordered the queso and the guacamole with chips. I wasn’t a fan, guacamole didn’t have much flavor… but the house salsa was yummy and had a nice little bite of heat to it! All in all not a bad place to kill time while waiting for our next flight ;)

Oh my goodness I feel so so upset at myself for spending one cent in here never mind $ 36 for awful food and awful service. After a long week eating out of delicious food trucks at SXSW this was our last stop in Texas while waiting at the airport. First when we went to get seated, the waitress at the door just stared at us when we asked if we could have the empty booth at the back. She shrugged her shoulders and sluggishly lead us to the table where there was a nice helping of rice scattered on the seat! Then watched me brush it off! We were then served by the not so friendly JoJo. Ordered the Beef Queso dip. This tasted like plastic cheese and really no beef lol! Also ordered the Beef Carbon Tacos. The actual meat tasted fine but the taco was burnt and the rice on the side was hard and uncooked. Jo Jo came to chat and speak to the two guys on the table in front of ours and each time she came over I tried to get her attention but she just ignored it and kept walking away. After about ten minutes of waiting with cold food I got up and went up to the front of the restaurant to tell JoJo that the rice was not cooked. She stared at me and nodded her head and very sarcastically said«ok» still nodding. It was highly embarrassing. I looked at her perplexed and JoJo said«well do you want some more»!!! Erm? What do you think? There was no «sorry about that I’ll go get some more» no sorry at all. She looked annoyed that I’d told her about the rice. As I walked away she ran over to the waitress at the door and started nodding her head and telling her that id just come up to her and told her about rice and talking about me right in front of me! HOWVERYRUDE and unprofessional! I went back to the table and she came and put another pot of rice down and ran off. She never asked if everything was OK throughout the meal. The rice was still hard as nuts so we ate the nachos which were good(you can’t get nachos wrong really) and the taco and left everything else. What a waste of money! Should have gone to a Taco Bell! It would have been ten times tastier and fraction of the cost with friendlier staff. If I ever go to restaurant and the foods bad… 9 times out of ten I forget the food is bad if the staff are friendly. Customer service is number 1 always and it’s never ok to treat customers bad.

Hopefully you don’t make the mistake I did and read this review after coming here. DONOTCOMEHERE. I ordered the tacos al carbon for $ 20, which I was told are 3 tacos with beef or chicken. I ordered 1 each of chicken, steak, and ground beef. What I was served was a mostly empty taco shell with a small amount of grilled chicken, another mostly empty taco shell with a small amount of steak, and a mostly empty taco shell with ground beef. For all three, there was no seasonings whatsoever, no sauce, and no toppings at all. No cheese, tomato, lettuce, sauce, salsa, no nothing. When the waitress put the plate in front of me, I just stared at it and wondered if this was some kind of valentine’s day joke they were playing on me. The waitress asked if it looks OK and I asked where’s the rest of the taco? She said this is what I ordered. I asked where’s the toppings that usually go on a taco and she said this is how they make it. I told her I’ve been to a thousand Mexican restaurants and never, EVER, had tacos served like this. The waitress seemed not to know what to do and asked if I want to add some shredded cheese on top. I said OK. She went into the kitchen and came back and said that cheese would cost extra. Mind you, the dish I ordered was $ 20 for 3 tacos. I told her that I’d rather send the entire thing back than pay extra for the ingredients that a taco is supposed to be made with. By the way, I never send things back. The waitress agreed to take it away and brought the menu back. I looked at the menu trying to find something that they wouldn’t fuck up. She suggested a different taco dish that she said had pico de gallo and cheese on it. I agreed to order that one, and it was cheaper($ 15 for 2 tacos, what a deal). What they brought was essentially the same dish, except the tacos had a little pico de gallo and a tiny bit of queso fresco. Like a pinch of cheese. Again the chicken wasn’t seasoned and had no taste, and the pico de gallo was motly raw red onions, so all I could taste was the overwhelming flavor of raw onion. It was a food fail disaster.

I ate at my first Cantina yesterday in Fort Worth. It was really good. So today, I’m flying home and I see this place right by my gate. Their salsa sounds good. So I am seated 20 minutes later. I order the exact same thing I had yesterday. Coors light, chips and salsa, one cheese and one beef enchilada with Freddie’s beans and rice. Gross. The salsa is not the same. Neither is the flavor or look of the enchilada. The beef taste like Taco Bell and the cheese has no flavor. The rice also is not the same and if I didn’t know better can from a ricearoni box. The beans are also not the same. Thick and flavorless. The chips and the beer taste the same and taste great. I’ll never be back to waste my money here again. Bummer.

Best Bloody Mary. Ever. Bartender was sooooo awesome! The hubs works for SWA and was having a beer, minding his own business when the wife calls(that’s me). I can’t get my ticket out of the machine because he already checked me in earlier so he has to leave to come bring my ticket to me. The bartender held his seat until he came back with me. Cool, eh? Yeah… this is now our official go to spot for a sippy-poo before flights from now on. Get the bloody. Just sayin…

I stopped here for breakfast because as I write this I’m still stuck in a long layover. The food is exactly what you would expect at an Airport. Don’t really know if there is a better way to explain it. However, the service was outstanding– fast, professional and friendly. The people on the morning shift have this place running like a well oiled machine.

I eat at airport restaurants many times a week. I appreciate the counter/bar having charging USB and plugs under it. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and I like it but my wife would not. It is spicy but delicious. I’ll be back.

Fast! What a pleasant surprise right by our gate Not in the center/hub with the rest of the restaurants. Hostess was pleasant, knew what was going on and got us right to the table! Tables and chairs were clean. We had Queso dip with taco meat $ 9. I prefer chorizo, but this was good. See pic. Came with excellent hot/fresh chips and two salsas, one mild and one spicy. We also split a large fajita chicken salad with cilantro dressing. $ 13. Sliced avocados on top and the cilantro dressing was refreshing! Airport pricing but fast and good!

For less than $ 20, I was able to order a quesadilla that not only filled my tummy, but it was also delicious, all at the airport. I travel extensively for work so with that said, finding a balance with a decent place to eat especially at the airport can be quite a challenge. Fortunately, Cantina Laredo did not let me down. I was seated in seconds, and in a few minutes, my nice waitress took my order, not long after, my quesadilla expecting it to be the typical ready made airport food, instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the look of freshness and the taste(see the photos). It really was as good as it looked! Everything was fresh, my steak was piping hot, and my avocado was soooo good! Not to mention, they put the flour tortilla on the side so you can get creative! All in all, Cantina Laredo was quite comfy, ambiance was very nice, and my meal was delicious with great and quick service! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Awesome service and with a smile from our server Gabrielle! It would seem it is a happy place to work as most of the staff had smiles on their faces! Food was good, and the restaurant is just beautiful. TV’S on all of the walls for all your sports fans! Everything was really good. It’s always great to find a place in an airport with such good food and even better service. Give this restaurant a try, you’ll be glad you stopped in. Wish we could have tried the margiritas but it’s was too early!:)) Thanks for a great experience! See you again if we are ever in the area again.

I am no fan of Cantina Laredo. I think their food is meh. So, when my wife who knows how I feel about CL tells me to go there for breakfast, I did not even question her. I got the Migas con Huevos which is a favorite of mine. They did not let me down. They aren’t quite the Migas you get in a dive in El Paso or anything but this will satisfy if you live Migas. I know giving 4 stars to an airport restaurant is suspect but it is on the Migas, service and cleanliness. The down sides: coffee is sub par in my opinion and the breakfast potatoes looked great but we’re lacking seasoning an should have been cooked a little longer.

I’m not going to sugarcoat this, but the fact that Stephen Pyles no longer serves my beloved chilaquiles is simply a travesty of epic proportions. My wife and I were left scrambling for a substitute Mexican style breakfast and found ourselves at the competition. No chilaquiles here, but they do have«migas». Migas are a Tex-Mex staple yet after 25(plus) years of traveling to Texas I had never ordered or even recall knowing what migas looked or tasted like. But we took a flyer and we we both went for it. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that migas and chilaquiles are somewhat similar. Think of that awkward cousin who lives in barn he built himself on land he doesn’t own, that’s what migas are to chilaquiles. My description does not mean that migas are a bad thing, just different. We liked our breakfast very much. Light, fluffy scrambled eggs tossed with corn chips, peppers and onions all combined to be more than satisfying. The dish is served with refried beans(tasty) and potatoes(meh). Our server also brought along two house-made salsas-one spicy and one mild. Truth be told, neither of us noticed any difference between the two, but they were both excellent and made a nice finishing touch for our migas. Service was attentive and coffee was brewed to perfection. If you are reading this and are craving migas, be sure to arrive before 10:30, as they begin only serving lunch options after said time.

Cantina Laredo is the kind of Tex Mex restaurant that offers great chips, salsa, and spicy queso, but struggles with all other vegetarian fare. I was flying out of Love Field to SF on a Friday night and actually had the pleasure of running into a high school classmate at Cantina Laredo, which was incredible. The food wasn’t as great. I was having dinner with my great friend from undergrad and we both decided on queso to start and the spinach enchiladas for dinner. The queso was great: If there’s a model for repeatable, delicious queso, Cantina Laredo must know it. The spinach enchiladas weren’t as good: the spinach tasted boiled, not sauteed, and the enchilada sauce was not on the same level as the queso.

After the terrible food choices we lived through in the old Love Field, the last few years have been a blessing. The new airport has a slough of average fast food chains and a few sit down places to eat that are enjoyable(sorry Chilis, we aren’t referring to you). Cantina Laredo is a good spot for a bite for passengers that have some time to kill. The food is tasty, service is good, there’s plenty of TV’s to watch the news or a sporting event and the underrated perk of having USB and electrical outlets for customers. As for the food, many would consider it pricey if it was a non-airport location, but for something inside a terminal the cost is understandable. The menu isn’t huge, but the items available provide a wide enough assortment to keep anyone who enjoys Mexican food satisfied. You’ll start with two salsa, one that’s cold and mildly spicy and another they warm up and is mild. One of my favorite items is the guacamole. They do a good job delivering fresh, tasty guac although it’s nearly $ 10. For a quick and easy meal try either the mahi mahi, chicken or steak tacos. You can’t go wrong with any of the choice here — or the atmosphere. It’s better than you’d expect from an airport.
