Brandon Huisman at Muse The Salon

We lived out of state when I found Brandon at Toni & Guy. (NorthPark Mall) Every time we’d fly in, I’d make sure I had an appointment with Brandon, before we left. When we moved back to TX., Brandon was gone, I hadn’t been to Dallas or to see him in a year or more! If you have someone who you don’t want to lose, get their phone number or something!!! Like an experienced stalker, I tracked Brandon down via Google, I didn’t know it would be so easy! This afternoon was my first appointment, my haircut is perfect. Muse The Salon is classy, laid back, and fun, all rolled into one. I love the shampoo chairs, I love that the salon doesn’t smell like candles, potpourri or anything fake. It feels, looks and smells clean! From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel welcome! I can’t wait to go back!

First things first, I’ve never left a hair appointment happy. I cry days later when a stylist cuts my hair. I’ve never been able to find someone who can give me the results I want and work with my hair type. I’ve succumbed to sales tactics and purchased salon products to just make them stop pressuring me. My hair will always be cut like a 12-​y/​o tweenage girl’s hair. I can’t possibly have sexy, sassy hair. All this was true and had been accepted as a fact of being female for me, until I met Brandon.
I picked the salon based on the name and Unilocal reviews. When I called, explained my situation and how I wanted something different than the normal for my difficult hair, she paired me with Brandon. It was a perfect match! He was able to give me realistic expectations for what is possible with my hair and has the best personality of any stylist I have ever had. He goes along with my whims and is not afraid to tell me no when I ask for something crazy, a cut that would not complement my face, or if my request would damage my hair. He is honest about any limitations he feels apply to a request as well, either with my hair type or his experience (when I asked for rainbow/​mermaid hair). He has taken my hair from normal to Blood of my Enemies red, then to dark blonde a month and a half later, and finally back to brunette. He is a talented colorist, and my hair stays vibrant far longer than expected. He is honest when cutting my hair and tries to keep length that he can. My hair is cut in a way that makes it look longer than it is, which eases the detangling process.
He only makes product recommendations if you ask, but he will tell you everything he uses and why. He has answered numerous questions about products for me via text, and I trust him completely with my hair. I am an Oribe convert simply based on the experience he has given me with the brand, and he’s not a brand pusher at all. He will recommend the products he thinks will work best for you, even if they’re not sold in the salon.
I can’t recommend him enough. If he ever switches careers, I will cry. I’d probably follow him if he ever moved, though that’s bordering on creepy stalker territory. It was so hard to find him, and he has a customer for life in me.

I heard and have seen that Brandon is the best! I am so excited to have my hair done by him today… I am a Brandon newbie !! Cant wait ! :)

It was last summer’s end when I had a Groupon for Brandon to cut and style my hair, but I want to add here how much I enjoyed having him as my stylist. He didn’t treat me any less for using a Groupon. He listened carefully to my vague desires for how I would like my hair to look, and I was quite pleased with the final result. This Henderson location is conveniently located, and the salon is beautifully designed, with an airy, modern feel. Loved it!

I just moved recently to East Dallas and I didn’t want to drive an hour to get to my hairstylist anymore. So I found a Groupon for Brandon and unlike many Groupons for salons, this one was definitely a hit! Brandon made me feel comfortable with keeping my hairstyle… just trimming it a bit and cutting it so it framed the shape of my face. He didn’t try to sell me any products or services that I didn’t want or need. He is very funny and easy to talk to. I will definitely go back! And if you think his services are pricey, check around. You get what you pay for. He’s definitely worth it!

Brandon is a very talented hair stylist! It’s very hard to find someone who can cut and style naturally curly and I finally found one that listens to my needs! Brandon also colors my hair and does my highlights and low lights perfect! Love me some Brandon!!! I highly recommend him!
